Just as wonderful as its sister hotel - the Duke of Brunswick - in the city. Bit of a different atmosphere… fresher, perhaps. Great choice of food, all gluten free. Big serves. Lovely gluten free beer. No oat milk in the coffee machines, therefore safe for the really sensitive Coeliacs (me included).
I never review a business, but I had to with them. I’ve been a coeliac for 5 years, and i’ve tried loooots of pizzas. Gone to most pizza places in adelaide and tony tomatoes are the only ones who have managed to create a pizza dough that is airy and fluffy! You cannot tell the difference between the gluten free and the normal dough. They have the best gluten free pizza in adelaide without a doubt.
DoughBalls Pizza Place, near the beach, is the perfect spot for great pizza and must-try cheese and garlic dough balls. Friendly staff, chill vibe, and gluten-free options make it a winner!
John’s Pizza Bar & Restaurant in Coober Pedy is a standout culinary destination in the heart of the South Australian outback. As a multi-award-winning establishment, it offers a diverse menu that caters to a variety of tastes.
The menu features a range of options, including pizzas, pastas, steaks, and seafood. A highlight is the “Coat of Arms” pizza, which combines kangaroo and emu meats with cranberry preserve, asparagus, and camembert cheese. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options are also available.
The restaurant provides both indoor and outdoor seating, creating a relaxed atmosphere suitable for various dining preferences. It’s conveniently located on Hutchison Street, making it easily accessible for both locals and travelers.
John’s Pizza Bar & Restaurant is open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, offering lunch, dinner, and late-night dining options. Whether you’re passing through Coober Pedy or staying for a while, it’s a dining experience worth considering.
I popped in here desparate for some quick, easy to eat food on the go and got the wild zataar and veg on gluten free bread.
Any one who needs to avoid gluten understands how most gluten free bread completely sucks, so I was pleasantly surprised when I bit into this and the bread was deliciously crispy, chewy in texture, and wasnt dry!!!
Decent espresso. Atmosphere, very small inside, crowded/was super busy. Pretty expensive

A lovely little pub with a great little authentic country bar. Be great if you could get serverd a drink at it . But to be fair I didn't wait that long when you compair it to the time waited for our lunch.. well over an hour. When it finally did arrive one snitty was missing the toppings and considering it was the gluten free crumbing it really needed something to cover the incredible ummmm 'texture' shall we say. You know that texture you get from a quality microwaved snitty from mcCain? My tbone came out cooked perfectly rare as ordered which was nice but please remember steak needs seasoning before going on the grill. And the veg, how do you boil carrots in water till they are dry ? Freezer burn perhaps? Some other complaints worth mentioning were the broccoli smelling slightly of fish, tastless gravy and mash that was poorly well......mashed. having said all this it's good to see a family owned local pub doing all day dining and catering for those with gluten intolerance (and let's face it , gluten free food sux)
We had paella, lamb salad, saganaki prawns, pan-fried veal, affogato, and tiramisu. The paella was a touch salty, but the lamb salad totally made up for it—it was spot on! I also loved that they had plenty of gluten-free options, which made the whole experience even better for me!”
Celebrated my nephew's baptism and the food was delicious. Great they were able to cater for those with coeliac's. The GF tiramisu is a must. Beautiful venue and atmosphere for a special day.
This pizza shop never fails to deliver on quality, price and service. With 2 out of 4 in the family gluten free, there pizzas are just fantastic - highly recommended
A good place to go for pizza, especially if someone is gluten free.
The furniture is basic and the chairs are not madly comfortable.
Plates are paper towels and the drink range is limited.
The venue is popular and super noisy.
The pizza's are good and reasonably priced.
It is probably more a place to go for a quick feed than a place for a night out.
The Gluten free pizza is so good! (cosmopolitan and Diablo are our family favourites) even after moving house we still drive 38mins to get it! Thanks to the team at Peps
Very enjoyable from beginning to end of our visit to Olives.
The waitress was outstanding - very knowledgeable about gluten free requirements and couldn't have been more helpful.
The pizzas were delicious, staff friendly and attentive and the prices were good too.
Thanks again team Olive!
My wife and I had the most amazing pizza this evening. We asked for a gluten free base as my wife is a Coeliac and asked for a few different toppings in addition to a Margherita pizza. Firstly, the service provided by the lovely lady behind the counter was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble and she was able to accommodate our request. In addition to this, she was extremely friendly, warm and very welcoming. Secondly, the pizza was to die for - the toppings and the base were incredible. In Adelaide, all the gluten free bases are thick and crusty but this base was soft and thin and was so easy to eat. The toppings were very generous and extremely tasty. We cannot recommend Bella Cafe & Pizza Bar highly enough and only wish they were on the mainland !!! Thanks again - George and Wendy
As a coeliac, was so impressed with the care and service when it came to my need for strictly gluten free. And the pizza bases were so nice I kept questioning if there'd been a mix up 😂 it's been a week since and can honestly say they were some of the best gluten free pizzas Ive had, thanks team!
First off they have great dietary options vegan and gluten-free friendly
I have been coming and going to this pizzeria since they have opened and they have grown into a brilliant business to popular for there own good but no matter how busy or quiet they are they still serve the best menu in all of Adelaide
I highly recommend to any pizza lover to give them chance your taste buds will be ruined for no other cuisine will rival theirs
I hosted a party at Jimmie’s last Sunday for 20 people, and it was an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, the staff made sure everything went smoothly, accommodating our large group with ease and making us feel right at home. The pizza was absolutely incredible easily the best pizza in the Adelaide hills maybe even in South Australia. Each pizza was made to perfection, and every guest was raving about the flavour. they also had a range of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options, which was great since a lot of my friends don’t eat meat.
We also enjoyed their garlic focaccia, which was warm, buttery, and perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere at Jimmie’s is so inviting and casual, making it a great spot for any group gathering. If you're looking for great pizza, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere, Jimmie’s is the place to go, especially for big party's like mine, we will definitely be coming back.
Perfectly catered to our coeliac family members who said it was the best pizza they'd ever had. Substituted ingredients to ensure our delicious pizzas were gluten free!
Cannot rate this place higher! We love our local pizzeria. The guys remember us and our order. They are so kind and friendly. And to top it all off, their food is absolutely amazing!
I’ve not had a better gluten free pizza anywhere. Besides their pizzas, they do incredible BBQ ribs, schnitzel, wings and chips. Will be loyal patrons as long as we’re here. Keep up the great service guys! xoxo
A massive thank you for the wonderful service we received tonight for our daughter's 12th birthday celebration. The staff were extremely friendly, and made sure they provided us with everything we needed. We had two children who had gluten-free requirements, and the restaurant provided delicious options. It was especially lovely of the staff to prepare our birthday cake with candles, and then joined us in singing 'happy birthday' to our daughter! Overall, a great experience.
Easy to order on line. I made a call , I Had to ask a question, Michelle was extremely helpful!!
Delivered on time. Everything taste fresh.
Had to order a gluten free, dairy free pizza and that was even yummy!!
Great tasting pizzas and pasta. Even gluten free options. My favourite is the seafood. So great that it's open till late dine in. A nice selection of Australian wines and beers.
Amazing pizza! I ordered a gluten free base and it was one of the best pizzas I've had. The staff were super friendly as well, we're very lucky to have a business like this here!
Meat pizza was loved. I had the Arties with a gluten free base and it was so delish! Perfect amount of topping and sauce and the base was divine, you wouldn't even know it was gluten free!
Love that you can add or take ingredients from the pizza.
Will definitely order again, thank you

Gluten-free base was very tasty. We were able to modify the manner of preparation to suit. The amount of topping shows why their is truth in the saying, "You get what you pay for."
Moved over from Melbourne looking for a great gluten free pizza place that is coeliac friendly (as much as a shared kitchen can be). Went through 10-15 places before discovering this gem. Great pizza, gf bases not charged more and they're as good as the regular bases! Very decently priced and lots of delicious topping combos to choose from. Highly recommend.
The best pizzas in the north!!!We especially love The Burton special and The Sicilian ,they do a tasty gluten free dairy free option, the staff are friendly the shop is clean and the store is always busy!!!

Awesome pizzas.
Ordered 4 party pizzas (18 inch) and 2 gluten free (12 inch). Our gluten free friend said it's one of the best bases they've had and we'll definitely come back.
