I was lucky enough to go on a Tuesday when they had 2 for 1 tacos and I enjoyed the pulled pork version. Delicious. Friendly and efficient service and 100% gluten free. Would definitely go again
An institution in Adelaide. Some westernised classics but also decent Cantonese dishes. We came on Sunday and it was still busy. Best to book. They have an extensive dessert menu. There is also a separate gluten free menu.
Best atmosphere out on the balcony, staff are friendly and super helpful. Food is beautiful, everything we ordered was delicious. Service was prompt, can’t fault this place. Very quirky and very easy to find something for a family of 5 with multiple food restrictions (2 x vegans, 2 x Dairy Free, 1 x Gluten Free)
A hidden gem in the heart of Adelaide!
Cafe Troppo is hands down one of the best cafes in Adelaide for anyone seeking great coffee, sustainable food and a relaxed atmosphere. From the moment you step in , you’re greeted with a warm, community-focused vibe that truly reflects the spirit of Adelaide’s vibrant cafe culture.
The coffee here is exceptional- consistently smooth and perfectly brewed using ethically sourced beans. I had a flat white that was the best I’ve tasted in the CBD.
The food menu is a celebration of local and seasonal produce with plenty of vegan , vegetarian and gluten free options.
I had the chilli eggs followed by the vegan carrot cake, both delicious and beautifully presented.
Located on Whitmore Square, Cafe Troppo offers a tranquil escape from the city buzz, with a cosy interior and leafy outdoor seating.
Their commitment to sustainability and low-waste practices really sets them apart.
If you’re looking for a top rated breakfast spot in Adelaide or just want to enjoy locally sourced food and amazing coffee, you can’t go past Cafe Troppo.
Highly recommended!
Had a scrumptious breakfast here. Great service, food well cooked and full of flavour. Lovely ambient Cafe and my coeliac gluten free needs were carefully catered for.
Corn bread is a must!!!
Happened across this place by chance and are glad we did! Food was 10/10, incredible flavours and yes, the fried chicken is gluten free - so many options for coeliacs!
The service was friendly and attentive. Shout out to Ollie and the rest of the team for taking care of us :)
I popped in here desparate for some quick, easy to eat food on the go and got the wild zataar and veg on gluten free bread.
Any one who needs to avoid gluten understands how most gluten free bread completely sucks, so I was pleasantly surprised when I bit into this and the bread was deliciously crispy, chewy in texture, and wasnt dry!!!
Decent espresso. Atmosphere, very small inside, crowded/was super busy. Pretty expensive
Thank you for a fantastic experience! I am vegan and gluten free and can’t have garlic or onion atm. They were able to accommodate me and still produce a tasty and well cooked salt and pepper tofu. The FOH staff took my food restrictions seriously and made me feel liked they really did care that I had a great experience.
It was our wedding anniversary and I got take away to eat back at our hotel. Even though we had to wait another 30 mins for my wife’s takeaway dinner at another place, my dinner still tasted great by the time we ate.
For someone who gets scared to eat out lately due to dietary restrictions and other places not caring, this experience left me feeling satisfied and happy with my meal!
We dined at ONG last night for the first time - but definitely not for the last. My wife is a coeliac and the chef took great care with her meal.
The fried crispy chicken was delicious (best ever), as was the rice.
The staff were very pleasant and extremely attentive.
ONG was O.M.G.
Delicious chicken Schnitzel (Soprano topping) and loved the fact that I could have gluten free crumb on it.
Wine list very reasonablely priced too.
Great location in Rundle Street with the option of outdoor or indoor dining.
Ordered a toasted burrito. The red chilli sauce was unfortunately quite mild, but the burrito itself was great. Friendly service!
(As a celiac, they do cater to us. However, the gluten-free burrito is very delicate and you might have to finish the meal in a bowl.
Amazing food and friendly service. Great gluten options for coeliacs. My favourite was the Aunty Dhal, super tasty !! Will definitely will be back to try more !
We were visiting Adelaide as an early birthday gift for my husband’s 30th, and I wanted to book a special dinner for him—Luigi Delicatessen was a great choice!
The whole evening had a fun, lively vibe with live music that added a special touch. The staff were warm, energetic, and had such a personable nature—it really felt like they enjoyed being there. I was especially impressed by how well they knew the menu off by heart!
As someone with celiac disease, I really appreciated how well they catered to my dietary requirements without any fuss.
The Ciao Amore drink was absolutely delicious—full of flavour and beautifully presented.
All in all, a memorable and enjoyable dining experience. Highly recommend! ☺️
Fantastic service, great cocktails and wines! The tandoori-spiced barramundi was perfectly cooked, and the cheesecake with crème brûlée topping was a standout. As a coeliac, I really appreciated the wide range of gluten-free options. Highly recommend!
The food was so delicious including the gluten free pasta. It would be great to have a gluten free bread on the menu for coeliacs, as we do love our bread and it is so easily sourced these days with great artisan bakers who specialise in gluten free breads to suit all cuisines .
The food was amazing! The staff were super friendly and best of all the were coeliac friendly!!! I got the jamacian banana pancakes 1000% recommend! So damn good!
I came for breakfast on a weekend and it exceeded my expectations! The menu had a great variety of options, including gluten-free choices. The portions were generous and the coffee was delicious. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating.
The service and atmosphere are great, and it's a cafe I'd like to come back to again!
I ordered a chai latte and a gluten-free chocolate cookie.
It was so great👏✨
I want to come again.
During my recent visit to Zambrero Hindley Street, I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing taste and quality of their vegetarian burrito. Every bite was delightful and flavorful, leaving me wanting more. Their sauce, salsas, and making style is jsut perfect. The restaurant's ambience and decor were also very appealing, with a relaxing and cosy atmosphere.
What impressed me was the variety of options available on the menu, catering to different dietary preferences and taste buds. They have vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was prompt and efficient.
I had an amazing experience at Zambrero Hindley Street and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal in a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The location is perfect, being close to North Terrace and all the Pubs. If you're looking for a bite before going out, or a place to come back to after partying, this is the spot. Zambrero Hindley Street is open early on Friday and Saturday, so you can enjoy it anytime. They offer a variety of options for both vegetarians and meat lovers alike. I loved it and definitely plan on coming back.
A massive thank you for the wonderful service we received tonight for our daughter's 12th birthday celebration. The staff were extremely friendly, and made sure they provided us with everything we needed. We had two children who had gluten-free requirements, and the restaurant provided delicious options. It was especially lovely of the staff to prepare our birthday cake with candles, and then joined us in singing 'happy birthday' to our daughter! Overall, a great experience.
As a group of 10 we booked a decadent lunch of the 5 course Lusso 'Luxury' Tasting Menu.
Our initial service was patchy. Wine had been ordered by the first 6 of the party, who had arrived slightly early. The remaining 2 couples were seated, without being offered drinks. When asking for service, wine was poured for 3, which emptied the bottle. The final glass poured was small and contained the grainy dregs. The server simply walked away, not asking/ offering if we would like to purchase more, leaving one of our party without a drink.
Another server, Alex, observed the situation and stepped in. From that point, food and drink service was consistently good. Water glasses were regularly topped up before being emptied, which was appreciated.
Dietary requirements of gluten free, dairy free and no pork were well catered for. The alternatives were tasty: a cashew cream replaced whipped ricotta in the Gnocco Friti; light, fluffy pillows of gluten free Gnocchi replaced the 2 shared pastas. Unfortunately the Angas beef done dairy-free was drowned in sauce and completely overpowered (see photo).
The menu was satisfying. For the most part, dishes were well seasoned and balanced. The mortadella ‘sando’ is out of place in the experience, not fitting with the presentation and feel of the other dishes. The desserts were a highlight.
Overall the food was tasty and portions generous. The wine is very expensive, though that was expected and not out of the ordinary anywhere. We had an enjoyable group dining experience.
Personally, with the exception of the steak, I found the food to be really nice, but there is nothing I ate that was an “oh wow, I have to come back”. Having said that I’d know that if I did return to Fugazzi, it would not be a disappointment
Been here many times and it is always a great night out. The food was mostly delicious and they did well to cater for dietaries. Favourites were the rock melon with burrata and the broccoli in a smokey romesco style sauce. The lamb as part of the set menu was nice but just too big and too much, would have been nice to have less lamb and another smaller main like chicken for a large group. The gluten free bread was a bit burnt also. Service was excellent for a big group table and the drink choices including cocktails were very good.
Been here several times, the food and service has been nothing short of amazing each time. They take allergy requirements very seriously and also have many gluten free dished.

Booked on a Saturday night not realising Saturdays in Adelaide CBD are dead and walk ins are fine. The food was perfect. Great range of gluten free foods and the service was fast. Fire place in the dining area kept it warm and the bar staff are hilarious. Stuck around a little longer because the DJ had a great eclectic selection of tunes playing. Worth the pop in if you're in the area.
This local pub is a beautiful old brick historic building with great ambience and food.
I’m gluten free (coeliac) and they had heaps of options - even a gluten free schnitzel/parmi!
Also had cute fairy lights and many different nooks and sections in the venue.
I recently hosted a Hen’s Day Long Lunch at Mexican Society and I could not sing their praises more highly. Service was great and the food was phenomenal. Everyone commented on how yummy everything was and how it just kept coming. We chose one of the banquet options and were so very satisfied. I have to mention that 13 of the 19 guests had dietary requirements (Gluten Free, Dairy Free, Pescatarian and some allergies) but the restaurant went above and beyond to ensure everyone was accommodated for. Thank you so much Mexican Society!!
As a Coeliac, I had a great experience at the Rundle Street store. The chips are cooked in a dedicated fryer, and GF burger buns toasted separately. They also mentioned they can swap to grilled chicken in the crispy chicken burger.
We stopped at Casablabla for a Sunday night Pre-show dinner. When booking, staff were amazing with knowledge of dietary requirements (gluten free) and assured me they could have us out by 6pm.
There were ample GF options which tasted great (highly recommend the ragu arancini balls) and our server James was amazing!
We will be back.
Truly shocking experience. Attended with a group including a celiac vegan. Rang the day before to advise of dietaries out of courtesy, which were acknowledged upon arrival. First course included sourdough rolls, with a separate item for our guest which she double checked with the waitress was gluten free and was assured it was. After taking the first bite, the waitress rushed back with a substitute item, saying the first one wasn't gluten free after all. By this time our guest already had ulcers in her mouth in allergic reaction, which ruined her and our evening. The restaurant's response was simply to apologize and remove drinks from the bill and bring a plate of cookies, still charging our guest for her meal. Didn't follow up after to see if she was ok despite her physical reaction in the restaurant. Didn't respond to a voice mail I left asking to speak to the manager in the days following (will still take this call, if you're reading this). Generally arrogant attitude throughout the evening. Negligent and lacking accountability. Separately from the incident, we needed to share two plates of the main course between 5 people (was supposed to be a main between two), with the 3 course "degustation" for $95 leaving us all hungry and angry.
We come here regularly for coffee and breakfast. They are always very quick and the eggs on toast are a great price.
They have separate tongs for gluten free cabinet treats for coeliac safety.
Gorgeous experience!! Definitely in my top 10 fav restaurants/cafes!!!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The space is so beautifully designed. Love the booths, the plants everywhere, the mirrors and fairy lights 🪴💡🪞🇬🇷❣️ Super clean and tidy too! We literally had the whole place to ourselves which was an absolute treat! My family loved the music 🎶. The waitress was amazing - warm, inviting, knowledgeable - I have never felt so at ease eating out somewhere (as I am both plant-based and gluten-free). My family and I were super impressed by each and every Mediterranean dish! The haloumi was a real hit! Eggplant dish - just divine ❣️❣️ Nothing beats quality 🫓🍆🍅🍽️🥥🍊
Thank you to all levels of staff that have been/are involved with creating and maintaining such an incredible magical venue - the care factor @ The House of George is oh so very high!!!! Can't wait to go back 🪴🪞💡🇬🇷
Delicious food - Gluten Free 👍👍
Ordered via QR code - not happy when asked to provide my address and a bunch of other info..
Not a lot of people and fairly quiet overall.
Complimentary Water jug (enamel) had rust in the bottom, so we chose not to have any..
loved this place! wonderful and friendly service along with delicious food! great little place in the city to try for brunch/lunch. Also the staff were very conscious about allergies (gluten free etc) which is rare to see these days!
This was an amazing experience, the food was absolutely delicious and the spaghett-about it option left everyone stuffed. Our gluten free friends were really well taken care of as well. It would have been nice if our table was cleared throughout the night as we had very little room, but aside from that everyone was stoked
Put in an Uber order for a gluten free Yiro, but added a component that contains gluten and they rang to check and prepared the order differently for us to make it gluten free. The food arrived hot and fresh, despite it being an order for 15 people. The food was also delicious. An all around great experience.
Food was nice and tasty, came quite quickly, service was on and off, but the place was extremely busy so it was completely understandable. I don’t normally eat lamb as I don’t like the taste but the lamb rack was so tasty!
They also cater for vegans, vegetarians and coeliacs. Curry so nice too and excellent wine list. Only complaint was it was noisy but if you want to avoid that, go during weeknights
Had the vegan/ gluten-free high tea with a group of friends.
Service was great and staff were lovely.
The food was good, firstly we gor scones with jam, these were absolutely delicious. Then the savoury plate included tofu satay skewers, tofu in pita, a tofu sandwich, and falafels with a sauce. The tofu satay skewers were the stand-out dish, with the falafels a very close second, the tofu pita and sandwich probably needed some more sauce (I dipped them in the remaining satay sauce).
The middle plate had a 'mars bar' raw slice and a small cake. I am not a fam of raw slices so didn't like this one as much, but the other cake was delicious. The top plate was choc brownie and choc cake, these were really nice.
Definitely recommend checking out Mirra for your next high tea.
