My husband and I just had a great meal and a wonderful evening at Beertown in London. I have celiac, and they went out of their way to accommodate me. Tyler, the Host (unbeknown to me at the time) ran down to Farm Boy to grab some GF corn chips so that I could enjoy their guacamole. Our server, Lauren G, couldn't have been nicer or more efficient, and GM Christina Hopeson and Beverage Manager Kendra Sauder went out of their way to make sure that we had a good evening. Our meals were excellent, and we were so impressed with the hospitality and kindness, as well as the wonderful food. We didn't see the folks in the kitchen, but they get a big shout-out for doing such a great job. Thank you to all, and we'll be back!

We’re from Michigan and needed a place with great gluten-free options for dinner, and Bricks and Barley didn’t disappoint! We were so excited to see all the gluten-free choices on the menu, and knowing they had dedicated fryers made us feel even better. I was thrilled to finally try poutine, and it was a real treat! As the Celiac in the group, I had the gluten-free chicken tenders, which were good, though a bit dry. My mom, who doesn’t need to eat gluten-free, got a pasta dish and said it was fantastic. The portion sizes here are massive—easily two to three meals in one dish, which offers great value, but be prepared for leftovers! One downside to our experience was that we asked the waitress for a "side" size of the poutine as an appetizer since we had never tried it before, but she brought us the large one instead, which was $19 CAD! Unfortunately, poutine isn’t something you can reheat and have it taste the same, so it was a bit of a waste. We were also surprised by some of the upcharges, like $5 to upgrade to waffle fries and $9 to add chicken to a pasta dish. That said, the food overall was good, and my biggest concern—avoiding cross-contamination—was fully addressed, so I left happy and healthy!
