I had ordered a Philadelphia Maki, I asked that the cucumbers be removed and replaced with avocado. In response they have me a maki with just avocado. The rest of the food was nice. They’re gluten free options is a lot smaller then the normal menu as well.

They have fantastic gluten-free ramen. Important to note, the only truly gf option is the vegan (their proteins have gluten, even if you get the egg noodles). I ended up getting the pork ramen which was absolutely delicious, but unfortunately that was enough gluten to ruin my day (I can sometimes get away with small amounts but I'm assuming there was enough either soy sauce/binder/etc in the pork & sauce). However I do not regret my decision because it was that good - the broth was reminiscent of a ramen I had in Japan which was such a wonderful throwback and I was truly impressed to get that AND with gf noodles. The only issue I had was the edamame was a bit overcooked which was a bit disappointing, but really all I cared about was good ramen. I will definitely be going back, but I'll get the vegan option next time.

I generally like it here, and overall our server was great, but we had asked for a gluten free menu because one of our party has celiac, and failing to locate the menu we had been told was available the server said she would just verbally tell us the choices. My point being that there was no confusion that our friend needed her food to be GF. When her dinner came, the server put it down, then picked it right up and said “that isn’t for you”. She took it back to the kitchen and replaced it few minutes later with an explanation that she had not told the kitchen to make it GF when she put in the order. That was potentially a big problem for our friend, and I think the restaurant should be more diligent in managing dietary problems. Our friend would have been sick all night had the server not caught it in time. Otherwise a great dinner. Thanks!

Fantastic meal. The staff was incredibly knowledge about gluten and celiacs and could go through the entire menu telling me what I could and couldn't get. Would absolutely go there again. Best sushi I have ever had.

Cindy is a beast, incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating of any food allergies. No issues with cross-contamination so far, and I’ve been here several times! Apparently they’re able to make gluten-free modifications for Hibachi… can’t wait to try it out. My usual order is tuna/salmon rolls with avocado or cucumber. Fish is exceptionally clean and fresh. Best sushi I’ve had in Pennsylvania so far.

The food was amazing. The location felt a little “exotic” (in a good way) on the third floor of a Lawrenceville block. Our server was absolutely incredible, running through gluten free or gluten risky options and just seemed happy to be serving us. We will 100% go back. The only downside of our experience was the heat. It was a hot summer day and I think the AC was trying to keep up as best it could on a third floor that had a kitchen in it, but we we’re definitely hot! Even so, I still easily give this place 5 stars.

I have celiac disease and I was so excited to find this amazing Asian fusion restaurant. It’s the best I’ve found and tried in the valley that has more gluten free options. My family and I have been eating here for almost 4 years, the staff is always helpful with my questions and I’ve never once gotten sick! Thank you! Fresh sushi, sashimi, and Japanese fare served with flare is what you can expect at Osushi. With a large menu, and a variety of items to choose from, there’s something for everyone at this neighborhood restaurant located in a strip mall in Ardmore. The ambiance is casual, with families, couples, and girls’ night dominating the dining pool on the weeknight I dined here for the first time. The service was friendly, and helpful, and sufficiently attentive. They accommodate food allergies- you simply need to clarify and provide a bit of your own knowledge to make up for what would seem to be common sense (crunch, fried, etc are not gluten-free). Rolls are served in a picturesque design on one of many different wood ornate sushi boards. The tuna, salmon, and yellowtail assortment of rolls were all delicious with quality fish. I highly recommend Osushi- it was “AOkay”.

We came at an off time and had wonderful service, and the food was quite outstanding. Not bland or overcooked...just perfect and the portions were generous. I was able to order a gluten-free/dairy-free meal with no issues. They came out twice to double-check ingredients for various items. I felt well looked-after. Have eaten here on multiple occasions and the quality was consistent and excellent.

Slippery Mermaid is always awesome. My wife and I have come here multiple times and the food is always extremely well prepared and fresh. The best part about it is that they are very good when it comes to gluten free options, which is helpful for us since my wife and some of our friends have celiac disease. Wonderful place. Great food! My wife and I have gluten allergies and they went through the menu and swapped things out for us. That is very rare in most places — to get someone to go through the menu with you and then to have them give you alternate stuff for no charge (usually other places give you nothing and charge the same!) UPDATE: This time we had the crazy roll, ikura with quail egg on top, and 3 special roll. Very delicious. They have some gluten and dairy free options. This place is small. Hard to hold a big party. Just a L shaped sushi bar. I forgot to take pictures but I will update next time I come back. This place is amazing. Food is delicious, service is amazing. We had the i Roll, the Princess roll, and yellowtail with jalapeños. This was very yummy and satisfying. I will definitely be back and with pictures next time. Highly recommend.

Sushi was really fresh and not super $. I can't have gluten so I made sure to ask; they have gluten free soy sauce and explained for me what didn't have gluten. I've been to some sushi places and they wouldn't tell me if the rolls had tempura or sauce on them. Then I recieved the order i couldn't even eat 😢. I was really happy they worked with my allergy! I really enjoyed what I ate and hope they can add some gluten free and maybe vegan dishes as well!

Nice and fresh. Good for midday break from work. Easy in and out. Located in the Oxford Market (lower food court) of the One Oxford Centre building. No gluten free soy sauce. However, taste is still good. (Salmon avocado and cucumber rolls.)

Due to food sensitivities, my wife has stayed away from sushi for a long time. That’s why we were thrilled to stumble upon this restaurant, which clearly labeled its gluten-free options. But what truly exceeded our expectations was the expertise of our server, Nicole, who had an impressive understanding of food sensitivities and cross-contamination precautions. Thanks to her, my wife could savor a worry-free dinner. As for the sushi itself, it was fresh and flavorful.

First time dining here — inviting space and the team was very welcoming. Happy to see that the check denoted “gluten free” after I ordered my meal as such. The also had gluten free soy sauce! There is a lunch menu available until 2:30 pm (at least when we dined in August 2024) — all lunch options included a small salad (dressing is not gluten free) and miso soup. Restaurant was not too busy and the team was kind. Only reason this was not a 5 star rating is that the bento boxes mains (beef teriyaki and shrimp tempura) were not served hot (came out warm) and the spicy tuna roll had more of a fishy taste than we cared for. All in all it was a fine dining experience, just not a 5 star one.

Do yourself a favor and get the Pineapple fried rice with beef! I have to get mine gluten-free and dairy free, and they are very accommodating! I also have other preferences, and they are very gracious! They are teaching me some Chinese when they have the time, and they are great! The sushi is also beautiful and delicious! If I could get more gluten-free and dairy-free options, it would be even more amazing! Their prices are also reasonable! Take a load off and get a meal!
