This place is truly a gem. I adore this place and love bringing people here to show off the neighborhood. The platter for two is massive and can really feed three people. Everything is vegetarian! Gluten free injera bread is available but it is first come first serve, as they only make a limited amount per day. That being said, I’ve never had an issue getting it so if you have celiac or are gluten free, this is definitely a great place to try! The food feels super healthy and doesn’t leave you feeling gross, plus the coffee is outstanding. If you can go for the coffee experience, it is so worth it! Love Bunna!!!
I cannot recommend LaRina highly enough for large parties with dietary restrictions! 10/10 experience! In our party of 7, we had someone with celiac, a shellfish allergy, and a severe nut allergy. They were super accommodating and all the staff was very knowledgable about which allergens were in which dishes. They made gluten free pasta for the person with celiac and wiped down the meat cutting machine before cutting out prosciutto so that the person with the nut allergy could eat it. Atmosphere is lovely, staff is friendly and food is delicious! Thank you LaRina!
Clean eating but kind of boring for the price. Good for dietary restrictions like gluten free stuff. Just not very exciting and not very large portions so didn't like the price was entirely justified. The non alcoholic drinks are a rip off for sure. $12 for like 4 oz of juice essentially. That was a little steep. Service was very good however, atmosphere was nice. Went for brunch so the wait for the food was a bit long. Fresh juices were very good.
ISO recommendations on GF restaurants/coffee shops and where to get GF groceries (bread, pasta, cereals...) around Kensington/Windsor terrace/Park Slope area 🤞
I was so excited to try Colonia Verde but sadly left very disappointed. While most of the menu is marked gluten free, for some reason they use a shared fryer.
The place is beautiful, but the food is just OK. I had the mushroom tacos and the picanha, and to be honest they were just fine. Our waiter seemed a little confused around what was safe for celiac or not, which again was just disappointing given how well the menu is marked!
Love Antidote! The food is so so good and super filling as well!
There are extremely limited gluten free options but solid vegetarian options.
I like the egg mushroom tofu a lot!
Wow honestly very disappointed with this pizza:(((
I was so excited to try it out, based on reviews it was one of the best gluten-free pizza in town.
So I placed an order on Grubhub in advance today on 4th of July for small Vegan Margherita pizza with Gluten free crust.
It arrived burnt, very salty, almost no tomato sauce, no San Marzano tomatoes - as stated on description and the cheese tasted like regular one instead of Vegan 🥹🥹🥹
I’m honestly shocked that they taught it’s okay to send out this for delivery.
The crust is good though but it’s impossible to eat because it tasted only like regular cheese, very salty and burnt :((
Very disappointed and hope that they will make it right by refunding!
There's only a couple of gluten free options on the menu, which makes ordering very limiting. The few things we could order were good.
Great space, service, and atmosphere.
It's hard to find a restaurant that is reliably excellent, especially with great ambience. My husband and I come probably once every month or two. Nearly every dish we've ever had has been absolutely delicious. Nothing has been bad. The menu changes, but at the moment the artichoke salad and the beet salad are fantastic. The pappardelle with oxtail ragu is excellent. They have gluten free pasta and understand cross-contamination - I have celiac disease and have never felt sick after eating here. The butterscotch budino is one of my favorite desserts out there. We are never disappointed and sometimes blown away. Fun cocktails, too - I love the Eleanor.
The ambience is so pleasant. They did a great job curating it. I also appreciate that they keep some tables open for neighborhood walk-ins. It keeps the vibe local and I love that if we get there on the early side we can just eat a nice meal on a Friday night without a reservation.
Esme is a quaint place to have a brunch or early dinner. the service was great the the restaurant was VERY comfortable. They have a wonderful drink menu and gluten free options. will be returning and the ambiance is just delightful.
Really happy with this place. I have Celiac and they were very careful and explained what I could have. My (gluten-eating) companions enjoyed as well. The cocktails were really special!
Beautiful restaurant with an intimate, artistic vibe. I love coming here, the food is consistently good and the atmosphere is great. The fresh made tortillas are one of the best parts of this place! I would come here for a date I want to impress or for a cute night with a friend or small group! Such a gem of a restaurant! The entire menu is gluten free and the tortillas are 100% corn, all celiac safe too!
My girlfriend and I ate out here last week and had a DELICIOUS meal. We ordered a lot of food and it was all GLUTEN FREE (needed to specify and waitress didnt know they offer GF noodle dishes). We will be back for the food and the vibes. The inside of the restaurant is really nice and they had great music playing.
the food we got that they were able to make Gluten Free:
- Crab fried rice
- Massaman Brisket (DELICIOUS)
- Oyster (only thing we got that was NOT GF, so only I ate them)
- Grilled Octopus
- Pad See Ew with Beef
I cant wait to go back soon!
We came here as a group of 5 later in the night to get some pizza. I found this place for the gluten free pizza option. The others in the group got calamari, burrata pizza, prosciutto pizza and I got the gluten free arugula fig and goat cheese pizza which was a little burnt but other than that was super tasty. The gluten full pizza looked and smelled really good but the gluten free pizza was really delicious! Highly recommend
D.O.C. Wine Bar is one of my favorite spots in Williamsburg. The interior is truly one-of-a-kind with beautiful ceilings and wood beams and an incredibly cozy atmosphere. It’s not just a wine bar, though—the food is spectacular. I loved the beet salad and the mushroom pasta, in particular, but I’ve enjoyed several of the secondis and deserts as well. It’s also worth noting that they can accommodate dietary preferences with vegan and gluten free options. The owner mentioned that they’ve been open since 2001 and their entire team is lovely. I can’t recommend it highly enough!
Beautiful place, very hygiene. Great food and options to all kind of people like vegetarians or gluten allergic. They have 17$ all inclusive brunch! 🤩 Probably one of the best priced in the neighborhood. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Sebastien & Antonia are great! We were able to try ALL the wines and had a blast! We were there for 5 hours. Sebastien remembered my sister and I from the weekend prior. He greeted us, was super accommodating, and great vibe! Looking forward to another night at the bar.
BONUS: they played Hip Hop (Kendrick) and had gluten free crackers 🤗
Great cocktails, nice food selection, great location and service. I am celiac and was able to eat here - there are things on the menu that are gluten free even if not labelled as such
The cutest little cafe! I went on a busy Saturday but the staff was friendly under pressure. Coffee was great - I got a cold brew. My friend and I shared a gluten free blueberry coconut oat bar - so good! So thankful for the gf option. Looked like there were some vegan options as well. I would love to come back on a chiller weekday and read. I love all the real plates and cups for people dining in. It’s beyond rare these days sadly. The decor transports me to another decade and I love it.
Had a great time at Hot Potato House at dinner. All dishes we're delicious, they tasted exactly the way we expected and brought back childhood memories :) Super friendly staff, Anna was extremely acomodating to our dietary restrictions (celiac/gluten-free), and made our night! We will definitely be back!
Great food, atmosphere and service. Also good for gluten free with items labeled GF. The flavor was good in all our dishes, it’s not spicy but we didn’t request that either. My one note is that the gin tonic special cocktail was not actually very special (after asking about it we found out it was just a regular G&T and we didn’t order it). We got the lavender gin fizz and it was very good.

I have celiacs and I went here for brunch. It was a suggestion that everyone was excited about. There were plenty of gluten free options ans everything was delicious.
great food and drinks, a lot of the menu is gluten free. fryer used to be, they recently started frying one thing with flour, so assume that it's not or ask 6/2024
The service... such great, kind, & fun service. Good vibes all around, and they're gluten aware! I got the Buffalo wings - and personal fave - and they were great. But the service (particularly August 💛) just mage my whole experience great. Thank you! Will definitely be back when I'm in this part of bk!
A very chic new addition to the neighborhood 💕 Vegan and Gluten Free options to choose from as well as great coffee, all in a beautiful setting. It’s easy to see this place was a labor of love. Can’t wait for full food service to open as all the pastries made in-house look fantastic ☕️🥐
