My boyfriend is celiac and we have heard many great things about this place being gluten friendly so we gave it a try.
Our server was kind of rude, like she never smiled and looked like something was annoying her and that she didn’t want to be there (it was a busy Friday night which is understandable, but still, I felt a little uncomfortable with her).
My boyfriend got a GF pizza and I got a regular one. They tasted really good and mine was so big that I brought the other half home with me (the GF pizza is significantly smaller than the regular one FYI, we were hoping that it would be at least around the same size as a regular one considering how they present themselves as GF. Not a huge problem but it still seems unfair).
The next morning, my boyfriend was feeling symptoms as if he had gluten. He had definitely ordered the GF crust, so we are thinking it is maybe the pizza sauce or the meat contains gluten. Perhaps it is a misunderstanding on our part as he didn’t specify to the server that he is celiac, but you would think that if something is made GF, all the ingredients would be GF. Anyways we won’t be going back there which is a shame because there are lots of GF options on the menu that you can’t really find anywhere else around.
This restaurant and their staff went above and beyond to accommodate me. We went here for a bachelorette party dinner. I have a whole host of dietary restrictions (no soy, gluten or dairy) and I was expecting to have to bring my own food/ eat before. I emailed a week before we went and just asked if there was anything possibly that I could eat. They sat down with their chef and responded right away with a ton of options! I didn’t even have to ask about dietary restrictions when we got to the restaurant, the server Sarah already knew. The food was delicious and thank you to all the staff there for being so wonderful.
This restaurant was devine. We got the special Winter offer (where you get an appetizer, entrée and dessert for a per person price). Every course was tasty - standouts being the ribeye and tenderloin, which were both seasoned and cooked to perfection. The biggest highlight was the scrumptious gluten-free vegan chocolate coconut pudding, which was outstanding (and I keep thinking about it). Atmosphere and service were both also great.
Gluten free options are great. Chef walked the tables making sure all is well. I got lazy and ordered butter chicken and was impressed with how much it wasn’t the creamy sweet cliché butter chicken you get every where else. They were also very attentive to our 4-year old birthday girl!

Super helpful staff and some of the best smoothies in Niagara! Sheridan helped my partner and I find vegan and gluten free options for our quick lunch as they were able to accommodate us not having a reservation.
The food was healthy and fresh, and really delicious! Everything was clearly made from scratch and was well worth the short wait.
Absolutely incredible wine, service and views. We had a tasting for 11 women and a dinner on Saturday June 25th. We had 4 great tasting pours followed by the best dinner and service I've ever received. Our server, Meg, was friendly, informative, professional and provided exceptional service to the entire party of 11. The food is FRESH, fast service and great options. They even accommodate allergies (dairy and gluten sensitive) I would reccomend this location to anyone. THANK YOU MEG
Reservations not taken, but our wait for a party of five was not long. Hostess offers to take a drink order while you wait. Delicious cocktails and non alcoholic optionals. Patio seating is cozy and nice even though there is construction next door- lights are brought to tables when it gets dark which is a nice touch. Food was delicious - calamari and white beans hummus were nice starters. Cottage pie was the perfect home cooked meal. The Garrison burger was a perfect size with just the right amount of condiments (and an option of a gluten free bun was appreciated!). Steak and fries were cooked well and options to add something, like bleu cheese, were not a disappointment.
Shellfish Allergy not accommodated!
I've been dining at the Farmhouse Cafe for at least a decade. Over time the restaurant has gotten busier and less customer focused. This week our family went for the Fish Special on Good Friday. I have a shellfish allergy. The restaurant would not pan-fry or bake my fish since with one shellfish item on their menu, they would not use the oil for my haddock. 3% of the population suffers from shellfish allergy, and no accommodation was possible. I am very disappointed but at least those requiring gluten free foods can be accommodated in the "gluten-free" oil vat.

We did a tour and dinner at Trius and highly recommend both. Trius has done a great job of creating engaging spaces for their tour that teach you about their wine and process. We especially loved the rose tower and sparkling house. Our tour guide - Karen - was so knowledgeable and friendly - she really made our experience wonderful. The dinner was equally great. They have lovely indoor and outdoor dining areas and the service was top notch - attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The food was superb and they were easily able to accommodate most items to be gluten free. The server knew exactly what the adjustments would be and the results didn’t make me feel like I was missing out. Highly recommend it for anyone with food allergies and anyone who loves quality food.
My experience here was a while ago but wasn't too bad. I ordered the vegetable panini, but I needed to make a change to remove an ingredient (cheese) and get gluten free bread due to food intolerances at the time, which have gotten better since. I was told that they couldn't do that because multiple foods were premade. I understood, but isn't the point of a restaurant to have 'fresh' food? They ended up creating a fresh panini, which I was greatful for due to the limited amount of vegetarian options. Yes, I could have chosen one of the other vegetarian options, except I couldn't because almost all (if not all) of the options had tomatoes, which give me a violent reaction if I eat them. That being said, the vegetarian options they had without tomatoes that day was limited to the panini or a 1 trio of dips. The rest of the vegetarian options all had tomatoes: feta bruschetta (tomatoes), salads (all with tomatoes), flatbread (tomatoes), penne tomato (tomatoes). Keep in mind the options as I was told were pre-prepared, so how could I alter them to be without tomatoes? The panini was also pretty small for the cost. The small salad it came with had a raspberry (all natural) dressing. That dressing had almost a neon pink colour and was so sweet, that it tasted artificial. The people I was with had fish and chips. Again, smallish portions. I was told the fried fish in beer batter was pretty good. That being said, we all had the same impression, that the food was bland, especially the fries. The portions combined with the blandness of the food didn't make the cost feel worth it, as it is pricier. The bathroom designs were awful, the rest of the interior was pretty interesting. The customer service was pretty good.
Probably my favourite winery in the Niagara region, and not just for the hockey nostalgia! A wide variety of drinks, including wine, whiskey, and now vodka. The cream whiskey is a go to for me, even in the summer. Lots of good food options too, and even gluten free options. When I ordered a charcuterie board, they gave me gluten free crackers; there's gluten free buns for burgers. Lots to choose from (which doesn't happen often). Love coming here with my friends.

One of our must-sees while staying at NOTL. Gluten free options were abundant. We chose the afternoon tea that came with a cheese platter beforehand- be warned, this is a LOT of food. This came with gluten free crackers and was a nice start, I just wish they disclosed the assortment of cheeses prior since some are an acquired taste. The options for gluten free were fantastic! I didn’t feel the least bit left out in comparison to my gluten full friends. I had a selections of sandwiches, scone, and sweet treats. The gluten free bread is on the dense side (hence maybe skipping the cheese beforehand) but every option tasted fresh and was delicious. Service was incredible, where they wait on you hand and foot, and are very knowledgable should you have any questions. An overall great experience.
Went here for a girls night out and sat at the Chef’s area where you are able to sit and watch the chefs cook. The chef was an absolute rockstar, talk about lady boss! Our cocktails were delicious- order the margarita!! Gluten free pizza looked so good I had to have them double check it was gluten free! Crust was amazing, dough was delicious, just wish the pizza itself had more flavour to it. Desserts also stellar: panna cotta was refreshing and tangy, and my mum said the tiramisu was one of the best she’s had.
Came at lunchtime during the week. Staff was knowledgeable, skilled and friendly. Gluten free bread toasted with a dedicated toaster was an unexpected treat with sunnyside up eggs.
Mediterranean bowl was fresh, tasty and beautiful! The 1/4 sliced Dill pickles are exceptional.
Great experience, highly recommended!
Jumped in out of the rain about 6:30pm tonight June 24. I tend to only take time for the positive reviews but it’s worth noting that the young man who served us, sandy blonde hair, was abruptly rude, especially for what little time he spent at our table. Everyone else around him hustled, smiled & was more than pleasant when we spoke to them. But this one needs work on customer service and stopping by their tables. The food was good but not enough quantity or variety on the charcuterie board. Could be a really top notch place based on the location! Our greeter was absolutely lovely, brunette female and knew our gluten free needs. But our server was really put out by our question about GF crackers or bread for a safe charcuterie for my husband who is celiac. I wish the brunette who sat us would have been our server.

Came here for breakfast while staying at NOTL. Breakfast menu is on the smaller side, but hits all the basics. Gluten free options are the toast, which was very good, but wish they had a few more options (pancakes etc). View was absolutely spectacular getting to look along the water and the staff were extremely friendly with great service.
An amazing fine dining experience! We made reservations but arrived early after seeing a show at the shaw. They sat us early with no hesitation and gave us time to enjoy a cocktail before bringing over menus. Our party of five chose to do their six course tasting menu, which we were delighted to hear could be accommodated for gluten free for our parents. Each course was delicious, highlighting local ingredients (including honey from the pastry chefs own bees!), and was a true leisurely fine dining experience. Service was excellent; Anna, Jack, and Penelope were attentive and gracious. Their patio is a lovely place to dine.
Excellent food and service. Satisfied vegan and gluten free requests. A new go to restaurant with authentic Italian food. Portions were just right, maybe a little on the bigger side, definitely quality ingredients and care taken in preparation to match the price.
