Food is extremely healthy though what you see online is not necessarily what is available in person. At the time we went, there was supposedly something going on with the oven to where staff was having to cook one gluten-free pita at a time and the waitress compared the experience of waiting for our orders to waiting for water to boil.
The ingredients for extremely fresh, for sure. Most of the meals, savory. But it was very expensive.
My husband ordered his buffalo burger on the rare side (it needs to be undercooked not to overdry) and it came out medium well, very dry and with some grizzle in it, to boot. The waitress apologized and immediately offered to get a new one made. She said the burger would be compted but then clarified that the new burger would be comped (you were seriously going to charge for getting the order right?).
Overall, decent healthy food but very expensive.
If you have to order gluten free, I wouldn’t recommend this pizza. Overpriced at $30.00 for a small gluten free pizza with two toppings. Crust was so soggy, loaded with sauce and clumped on cheese. Was not appetizing. Overall not great experience, long wait only to be told half my order could not be filled then left with a pizza I ended up just tossing. Just warning those with gluten sensitivity, there are better options at other restaurants.
The Santa Fe Teahouse is the perfect place to enjoy breakfast or lunch while exploring Canyon Road and the historic Eastside. The London Fog teas are incredible (try the Santa Fe fog) and the gluten free scones are the best I've ever had. The whole menu is great and the staff are lovely.
We loved that the restaurant had so many gluten-free options, and that the staff took such care in cooking and presenting gluten-free foods. We loved the shrimp enchiladas and the tacos.
This is a commercial bakery with an embedded restaurant.
Parking is off street, in front of the bakery. You go through the bakery shop to get to the restaurant. There was not wait when we visited on a weekday morning.
We got gluten free blue corn blueberry pancakes with pinions, a side of green chili sausage, and a Mediterranean omelet with smashed breakfast potatoes.
The omelet was very tasty, with a healthy portion of feta and kalamata olives.
The breakfast potatoes, baked then smashed and fried crispy were the star of the show.
The green chili sausage was good but not exceptional.
The blue corn pancakes were tasty, with a reasonable portion of pinions on top. Like many gluten free options, they lacked structural integrity. They were almost as good as the equivalent blue corn pinion pancakes at the Flying Tortilla (which are not gluten free).
There was a window to the commercial bake
ry floor in the dining room where we were seated. We enjoyed watching cinnamon rolls being made during breakfast.
It was a little pricey, $50 breakfast for two, but I felt like I got my money's worth.
Passing through town and stopped for coffee and breakfast. Happy to see all of the gluten free options. We sat out on patio and Sunday morning bluegrass is where it’s at. It was a lovely experience.
We were in Santa Fe on vacation and decided to stop by this place based on the reviews. We're so glad we did! The food was fantastic. We both got create-your-own stir fry dishes, which were very generous portions and delicious. Although the restaurant seems to be primarily carry-out, we ate in and enjoyed the conversation with the owners. This place gets bonus points for having many vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free options. In fact, we liked it so much that we adjusted our plans for the next evening and came back a 2nd time. Great place!
The mushroom burger vegetarian gluten free bun was really tasty, it’s hard to find a good one so I was very happy with that. My garden salad was really good too. The regular burger was juicy and tasty. The French fries were horrible, very greasy not cooked enough.
We have been bothered by a beggar while we were eating inside the restaurant. The manager should do his job and don’t let that happen. The waiter could be more helpful he didn’t even come to ask how things were and we felt that we were bothering him when we entered the restaurant. We didn’t feel welcomed and they were in hurry to get our orders even if the place was empty at this time.
A lot of effort to do to make this restaurant a very good one.
✨Phenomenal ✨ coffee, handy location, lovely courtyard. We went twice in one day. Really nice staff too, regret not getting any food which looked great and included vegan and gluten free options. Definitely recommend.
So good we visited two times during our 5 day stay in Santa Fe! Fun atmosphere during dinnertime! Excellent food and great gluten free items on the menu.
The owner of Magpie up in Taos recommended this place to me.
Delicious fish tacos. Love that there were many gluten-free options. The pork tamales 🫔were sooo good!
We had a delicious lunch here! Some allergy friendly options and they do have gluten free bread available for a charge. The flan was delicious! Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
We went to the Dragon Room for happy hour -very attentive waiter who answered all our questions concerning food preparation & ingredients for the dairy & gluten free people in our party. The happy hour food menu has many options including salads, burgers, sandwiches, plus the special which was beef short ribs. All our food was delicious. The apple pie dessert was huge!
Comfortable and relaxing place to eat. Food and service were great. Had gluten free bread and buns. It’s hard to find restaurants that fit strollers near the plaza, but we had no problem finding a place for the stroller here, and they had high chairs.
What a solid place!! My sister and I had gone to a wine bar previously and we were not nearly as impressed as the selection and food is so much better here!! The variety is incredible, not just between different wine varieties, but also with the food! There is something for everyone and different meal types if you’re wanting something lighter or heavier depending on the time of day. My brother and sister and I came around lunch time and my brother got an Italian sandwich that I think lasted 2 seconds, while my sister and I got the lavender feta which came with cucumbers, pita, and hummus, and the bruschetta bread, consisting of 4 different varieties! The lavender feta was out of this world! If you’re a feta person, go for it, and if you like bruschetta and little open face breads, they’re light and the selection of breads with different toppings is perfect! We loved trying the different foods to offer, and even though we were visiting, my sister and I went back to Hervé on our final night for a little dessert / wine flight! The best thing was getting $10 off of a bottle which was perfect for little souvenirs to take home. The torte was a little dry, but gluten free so maybe that was why? Crème brûlée is out of this world! Definitely recommend for something light and creamy. Bellísimo was my personal favorite bubbly and my sister loved the muscat red!
Great food but only a few gluten-free meals. An omelet is my go-to. Nice gluten-free baked goods. Wish they had gluten-free bread!! Did not like the buckwheat crepe at all.
A forever gem and a staple in Santa Fe! This restaurant is quirky, warm and welcoming. The staff is friendly and wonderful at what they do, they will make you feel at home the moment you walk in. I love the NYC fused with Southwestern vibes, great for all ages and group sizes. Now onto what you are here for; the delectable food with the best prices in town! I am a vegetarian and have tried everything veggie on the menu. The chef is very accommodating to your dietary needs, whether vegan, vegetarian or gluten free. The servers and counter staff will gladly recommend dishes to suit your tastes. The challah bread French toast, Santa Fe hash browns, Tofu Scrambler and classic Huevos Rancheros are some of my favorites to name a few. Great portions and thoughtfully cooked and flavored! My most recent order was a veggie burger, but I wanted to make it a little different and decided to order it on a bagel with loaded veggies like sautéed mushrooms, peppers, and sauerkraut. I added cheese but can be easily made to be vegan, or you can add meat if you fancy that, or substitute the regular bagel for a gluten free one. My bagel veggie burger was huge 😋 ! I love NY Deli, great for all diets, and it’s not the typical boring food most delis and restaurants serve to vegetarians and vegans.
It was a messy snowy morning in Santa Fe today. I was one of many who is nearly clobbered by an aggressive driver. So my day started out a little challenging. I had my car in for routine service, and when I was done, I was really hungry tribes was nearby and they have a vegetarian sandwich. It’s portobello pesto and provolone cheese, and I thought that would make my day! It did. on gluten-free bread and they had the vegan almond chocolate chip gluten-free cookies. I’m not vegan, but it works just fine. And wash it down with an Ethiopian organic medium roast doesn’t get much better than that. The stuff was friendly and courteous and helpful and tries is my go to coffee house when I am in Santa Fe .
Excellent sandwiches, tasty cookies, PHENOMENAL staff.
This location has several people who have shown enough care and consideration for how sensitive my Celiac husband is that I trust them enough to call in an order and pick it up. There are full blown restaurants I won't do that with.
Amazing, authentic food. The chinese burger is delicious. They have food to cook at home too. Some gluten free options and the ability to have some ingredients, like cilantro, not added to your food when cooked. A must try!
This place is great! We’re a celiac and dairy-allergy family so finding a pizza place where everyone can safely eat can be tough. Bruno’s is so great! The kiddo can have a dairy-free pie and I can get the most delicious gluten-free crust I’ve ever had. It’s the soft, pillow-y crust that you miss when you have to go gluten free. Great atmosphere. Proprietors are kind and welcoming. Parking can be tight and be prepared to wait but just get a frozen lemonade, enjoy the music, let the kids run around and I promise you won’t be disappointed.
Based on my dish, the linguine con salsiccia, I'd rate this restaurant three stars: the dish was good, just not great. The hot sausage was hot but that was the only flavor of the dish; the sauce seemed very bland. In my opinion, the negronis were small and too watered down from the ice. The wife tried to order a diet coke but it was very flat and then the one other non alcoholic drink she could have, they didn't have in stock. BUT, the wife's dish was really good- she said it was the best gluten free crust she's ever had (and she's had a lot of different ones!). At first, she was afraid to eat her Pear & Pig pizza because she thought the crust was too good to be gluten free but it clearly was because she didn't get a response from it. The server stated the gf crust was made in house and her pizza was really tasty, so I'd recommend Pranzo based on that info.
Very busy, especially at the drive through during lunch. The food's good. They have a gluten-free option with the grilled chicken sandwich and a gluten-free bun.
We had lunch here. Their Grimace Dubbel beer was amazing. Highly recommended for the sour aficionado.
The staff are super warm and friendly. If you are looking for a place to relax or grab a quick bite, id highly recommend this place. They have quite a few gluten free and low carb food options, small plate dishes. Best of all, they serve 4 oz beers, which is great for drivers and (of course, I urge you to drink responsibly and be conscientious about driving )
Had great brews including a couple gluten removed options. Im celiac but had no issues. Thanks for a great visit!

Cannot believe this place has only been open 20 days. The food and service were excellent - every dish had nuanced and thoughtful flavors. The cocktails were balanced with interest.
We had two different tasting menus - highlights:
Galbi - somehow melt in your mouth tender
Shrimp dumplings - awesome and gluten free - the acid in the sauce with the herbs reminded me of being in Thailand
Sea bass - so lite and finessed - the flavors were excellent
Cocktails:
Seoul fashioned - not gluten free but my husband thought it was excellent
Pho Sho - very interesting, they took the flavors and essence of pho and put it in a dope version of a whisky sour
Hue (way) too green - crushable summer cocktail with a little extra intrigue
If you’re local to Santa Fe or visiting this place is worth a spot on your must visit list.
We were visiting Santa Fe for the weekend and originally came here because the menu looked like it had some good dairy free pancakes. There wasn't much for dairy free or vegan (although I think they had some gluten free options), but I won't knock Modern General because of my dietary requirements. I had a standard (dairy free) breakfast sando, but it was definitely above standard. The staff was friendly, the shopping was above par for a restaurant/gifts format. I even picked up a book for a Christmas gift and I'm not a spontaneous shopper.
Rick the manger was super awesome, and the young server as well were very knowledgeable on their gluten menu and we had no issues at all,
the food portions were huge though so be mindful, might want to split a plate with somebody's,
drinks were good as well, and the outside seating was nice , and Inclosed during the snow/rain season, will recommend for someone looking for gluten free options and also for dairy free, they were easily able to make that happen, not many vegan options but enough to get by.

Amazing outdoor dining with an exquisite view of the Jemez mountains. The food was mouthwateringly (if not a word, it is now😄) mind blowing! Delicious ahi tuna lettuce wrap, truffle fries, hot, crispy sweet potato fries, an excellent margarita, finished off with a special, one of a kind gluten-free desert that was out-of-this-world delicious. What's better is locals get 15% off! Thanks Terra for the perfect dining experience!! My new favorite in town!!
