cute Japanese gluten free cafe
Loved their vege tempura noodles! Really fresh ingredients and clear but flavorful broth
They also have mochi, donuts, sushi rolls, onigiris to choose from
Delicious food in a great location for our lunch stop on the way to Canberra. We chose to stop at Truly Free Bakehouse becuase my mum is a Celiac. The rest of the family thought we'd be making a sacrifice for her enjoyment at a 100% GF bakery, but we were WRONG. It was snitzel burgers all round and they came out quickly, steaming hot, crisp and mouth-wateringly scrumptious. As a gluten eater I couldn't tell the bun, crispy and light, was gluten-free. The snitzel was perfection. Honestly. One of the best ever. AND... they didn't over do the mayonnaise. We paid $13.5 for each and the size was generous and sensibly cut in half for easy consumption. My mum couldn't resist picking up a raspberry and white chocolate muffin for the road and was pleasantly surprised that it was also one of the best ever, even compared to gluten ones. Plenty of seating, friendly staff, and so much choice for people who usually have very little. Thanks Truly Free Bakehouse for existing and bringung joy to our lives and our tastebuds.
Anyone with coeliac disease this place is a must. Extremely knowledgeable about coeliac disease and cross contamination and for once my toddlers had a wide variety of dishes to choose from so thank you for making my kids days with the gf pancakes!
This will be our go to spot every time we’re in the mountains.
10/10 food and coffee and staff were so friendly. Highly recommend!
Understaffed ,underserved , under flavoured
I came here on a Saturday afternoon and waited more than 50 minutes for my take away order only to discover many of the items we ordered weren’t included and fish was over cooked . Really loved this business as it’s gluten free and my wife is celiac. Sad that it’s gone down hill.
So many gluten free pastry options! I tried the chocolate croissant, almond crossaint, Portuguese tart and cinnamon swirl, hey we’re all very tasty. The prices have increased since the previous photos so I included those.
They are dear, but worth it in my opinion.
The best gluten free pizzas I’ve had so far (and I’ve tried a lot). Delicious food and friendly service. Feels like a family run business, outdoor dining is nice and cool, indoor dining a bit warmer but you get to watch the pizza oven. Looking forward to going back.
Amazing place for the celiacs under us, almost everything gluten free. Had the fish tacos and a chocolate chip cookie and both were delicious and don’t get me started on the coffee, perfection
A beautiful little cafe with beautiful staff!! We had an amazing Brekky (gluten free catered for, it was above and beyond!) and coffee, and were greeted by the most lovely staff. I was super excited to discover all the gluten free sweet treats they had to offer, so obviously had to get some to take away! Will be back next time we are in Jindabyne! Thanks guys xx
Stopped in here for some food. Awesome customer service, delicious food, well priced and lots of gluten free options. After eating there I cannot believe that this restaurant isn't more highly rated.
The food was genuinely delicious - full of flavour and really comforting. We had the lasagne, which was rich and hearty, and I had a gluten-free pizza that was surprisingly good!!
Service was excellent. Big thanks to Alexandro for taking such good care of us - friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome.
We also got coffees which were strong and authentic - we really enjoyed our time here 😌 The only small downside was the music being a bit loud for me, but just personal preference; everyone else seemed fine with it.
Amazing place if you are in Tenterfield for a coffee and a gluten free donut. Plenty of other options too!
Lovely garden setting, super friendly staff, yummy food and drink.
They have a little stand, too, with jams for sale 😊
Best gluten free pizza! And just amazing food! I came here with some friends, being gf and vegan it's hard to go out with a group of friends who don't have dietary requirements and this place was just perfect! I was able to eat the same foods as my friends without feeling left out. I can't wait to come back .
Genuinely brilliant. The best cooked meal I've had in as long as I can remember. Excellent value for money given the quality of the food.
I had the whole snapper, my partner had the (gluten free) fish and chips. Everything was well seasoned, well cooked and generous in portion size.
I think we've just found our new favourite restaurant & we can't wait to go back.
Amazing Aussie burger, gotta be the best burger I've had in a very very long time. Fresh, flavourful, crunchy hot chips, great size and as we just wanted to share one between us they went above and beyond to serve us half each with our own servings of chips. We went the gluten free option and everything was perfect, the burger bun was thick and soft and held together. I'll be back over and over
Haven't been here for ages, so good. Had the Chilli Scramble, wasn't given the chilli oil, which I didn't realise until too late, but seriously, it didn't matter as it was so tasty 😋 gluten-free bread 😋
Had a chocolate thick-headed, which I didn't feel was made right 🙃 they replaced it, and it was awesome. However, not the consistency of a thickshake I have had at other places.
Gluten-free free cake options sensational 😋
We will be back, staff are amazing as well 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Great place for lunch on a sunny day. Food great with lots of share plates. Separate menu for gluten free, diary, vegetarian or onion/garlic free options. Friendly staff.
Amazing gluten free and vegan options- rarely do I find so many options for both gluten free and dairy free, food was delicious!! The cafe itself had so much character 🤍
Anna was our waitress- very attentive, welcoming and amazing customer service… will definitely be back!!
Top notch food, great service, and a warm, welcoming vibe. The menu is fresh, full of flavour, and caters really well to gluten-free options. Staff were attentive and friendly. Highly recommend if you're in town!
No Bones is a beautiful outdoors, covered restaurant. The dining experience is fantastic with friendly staff, fantastic cocktails and delicious food. The menu is creative with bright flavours. They were super accommodating to my dietary requirements, catering for Coeliacs and even had a gluten free fryer. We left perfectly satisfied and are already looking forward to our next visit.
Gluten free options!! Dedicated gf fryer for a few options like chips (which were perfect) and others like calamari etc. There are gf burger options too, I went with the soft sheel crab burger. Buttermilk crab fried whole on a gf bun with salad and thousand island. Really tasty, not too salty, perfect mix of meaty and crunch. Thanks guys for doing gluten free options and being coeliac friendly and aware.
Best gluten free crepe I've ever had. I had to double check it was actually gluten free. So delicious and a lovely spot, really feel like you are treating yourself coming here.

Exceptional. All the curries were delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating of dietary requirements. The gluten-free naan is perfection!
Had an absolutely amazing time here with delicious food and great service! My mum is coeliac and it's so hard to find places that take the proper precautions when dealing with gluten free food, but the staff were beautiful and went above and beyond to make sure her meal was safe, as well as having a variety of foods available. I had the schnitzel burger and it was fantastic, and we look forward to going again soon!
I was really looking forward to dining here after hearing such great things, especially because of the mostly gluten-free menu. Ideal for celebrating a coeliac friend’s birthday. Unfortunately, the experience fell short.
The portion sizes were shocking for the price. $28 for a plate of heirloom tomatoes and stracciatella felt steep for what we received.
The cauliflower dish was also underwhelming, it was bland and lacking in flavour.
The sticky date pudding and the cardamom yogurt were great but didn’t redeem the meal.
While I could understand paying premium prices for amazing atmosphere or great flavours, neither were memorable. Disappointing overall, especially given the great reviews and high prices.
This is the best cafe for coeliacs in Nelson Bay. Best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had. Southern style chicken burger and wagyu burger were both amazing - just remove the fries as they aren’t gluten free. Tons of gluten free options for Brekky and lunch on the menu. Staff is great / knowledgeable about coeliac restrictions and even better - the chef is coeliac. Also make sure to get any gluten free sweets they have - we tried the blueberry muffin, date & walnut bread, & coconut raspberry bread - all incredible and you can’t even tell it’s gluten free. Can’t wait to come back here!
Had a lovely brekky/brunch with a celiac friend. Heaps of options for them and delicious options for me. The serving of corn fritters was huge, nourishing and delicious! Despite the cafe absolutely heaving, service was friendly and prompt. Lovely family vibe with kids helping serve and clean up and guests being offered in house coffee blends. Will definitely return!
We hadn’t been here in a while and thought we’d give it another go for breakfast. It didn’t disappoint! There were plenty of gluten-free options, the food was absolutely delicious, and the presentation was like artwork. Highly recommended!
A day drive led us to Bathurst. A quick search for dog friendly cafe came up with Piccolo on William, in the middle of Bathurst.
We were met by friendly staff, and seeing we had a 4 legged friend, they brought out a bowl of water for the dog.
The service was friendly and helpful. Food was really nice with a good selection to choose from.
Gluten free options of food/cakes also available.
The bathroom amenities were also super clean and fresh.
This pub is incredibly friendly! We felt so welcome from the moment we walked in. The food was absolutely delicious, and I was thrilled to find their menu is mostly gluten-free. I even got to enjoy a schnitzel for the first time in years! Definitely worth the trip from Sydney.
Always stoked with the sweet potato fries at Salty Joe’s 💜 they’re my absolute favourite. Love that they’re gluten and dairy free 🥳🥳 Abby was so warm and welcoming and provided wonderfully patient and friendly customer service, particularly as I changed a few things in my drink order. My choc peanut butter smoothie (ingredients amended to ensure it was dairy free) was delicious.
Reasonable wait time, good communication, and just all round great service. Great job guys, I’ll be back again 😊
We attended this cafe on 19/12/2024 for some brunch. I picked it based on the number of grey nomads with motor homes and wearing Hawaiian shirts that seemed to be seated out the front eating, figuring that this was a good sign, and I was not disappointed. The prices are what you would expect from a food outlet at a rest stop on the Hume Highway, however what sets this cafe apart is the exceptional quality of the food. No disappointing, day-old refrigerated service station sandwiches here. There were a lot of options to choose from in the pre-made display, which looked like every item had just been made, but also a menu to order from. I ordered a fruit salad, a California roll sushi and a Green Dream smoothie. All the ingredients were very fresh and healthy and it tasted great. The sushi would have been good quality even for city standards. The smoothie had banana and mango in it, so it didn't taste like your typical "green" drink, but it was a well balanced taste. There was something on the menu for just about everyone, no matter what their dietary restrictions - low sugar, gluten free, MSG free or vegetarian. The cafe was spacious and comfortable with lots of light. Whether you are in a rush and need a brief respite from the hurly burly, or are taking a trip at a relaxed pace, this is the ideal venue for a snack, a light meal or a hearty one. I highly recommend J&B's.
If you’re vegan, gluten-free, health-conscious, and/or a bit of a taste snob — this is the spot in Sydney. Just post up here each day of your stay and rotate through the wide-ranging, exceptionally balanced menu of thoughtfully crafted meals and dream-worthy desserts.
My personal favorites: the rose and pistachio cupcake, the vegan Thai beef salad, and the “Gimme That” protein shake — but truly, I tried nearly everything on the menu and was impressed across the board. The staff is warm, the vibe is relaxed, and there’s both indoor and outdoor seating with WiFi. Bonus: they’ve got a great little deli section with frozen vegan staples and pantry finds to stock up on.
