Had high hopes for Sebastien Sans Gluten after hearing great things, but my visit on 7/6/25 was pretty underwhelming.
I picked up a meat pie, sausage roll, cheese pastry, and a loaf of bread. The cheese pastry was alright, but the rest were a letdown.
Bread: Really undercooked in the middle – sticky and doughy – with a super hard crust. It was hard to even slice, and you could see the sticky dough clinging to the knife and edges.
Pie & Sausage Roll: Both had undercooked pastry. The pie filling was decent, but the sausage roll was odd – strange texture, not much flavour except fennel, and just not enjoyable.
Altogether it came to just over $50, which felt steep for the quality. Left pretty disappointed and won’t be going back.
cute Japanese gluten free cafe
Loved their vege tempura noodles! Really fresh ingredients and clear but flavorful broth
They also have mochi, donuts, sushi rolls, onigiris to choose from
Delicious food in a great location for our lunch stop on the way to Canberra. We chose to stop at Truly Free Bakehouse becuase my mum is a Celiac. The rest of the family thought we'd be making a sacrifice for her enjoyment at a 100% GF bakery, but we were WRONG. It was snitzel burgers all round and they came out quickly, steaming hot, crisp and mouth-wateringly scrumptious. As a gluten eater I couldn't tell the bun, crispy and light, was gluten-free. The snitzel was perfection. Honestly. One of the best ever. AND... they didn't over do the mayonnaise. We paid $13.5 for each and the size was generous and sensibly cut in half for easy consumption. My mum couldn't resist picking up a raspberry and white chocolate muffin for the road and was pleasantly surprised that it was also one of the best ever, even compared to gluten ones. Plenty of seating, friendly staff, and so much choice for people who usually have very little. Thanks Truly Free Bakehouse for existing and bringung joy to our lives and our tastebuds.
Anyone with coeliac disease this place is a must. Extremely knowledgeable about coeliac disease and cross contamination and for once my toddlers had a wide variety of dishes to choose from so thank you for making my kids days with the gf pancakes!
This will be our go to spot every time we’re in the mountains.
10/10 food and coffee and staff were so friendly. Highly recommend!
Finally I can have knafeh and maamol being a coeliac and it didn’t let me down. Neither did the service. The owner was amazing letting us taste food free of charge. Thank you
I think my partner and I had an incredible time here.
As a coeliac person I have not had the chance to eat gluten-free dumplings for years now, so it felt so amazing for me that I found this amazing restaurant that has such delicious gluten-free dumplings.
My partner and I found the food delicious, friendly service, incredible views and the weather at the time was absolutely stunning.
I feel that I loved it and I would undeniably recommend.
The meals from Activate are delicious and nutritious, and they are all gluten-free and safe for coeliacs. The homemade taste is consistent across all the meals, even the frozen ones. Delivery is always punctual and the ordering process is simple. As a young family, we are grateful for the convenience that Activate provides.
Understaffed ,underserved , under flavoured
I came here on a Saturday afternoon and waited more than 50 minutes for my take away order only to discover many of the items we ordered weren’t included and fish was over cooked . Really loved this business as it’s gluten free and my wife is celiac. Sad that it’s gone down hill.
As a Celiac, I was very pleased to read of this place and made the long drive out there. I was not disappointed
Huge selection of frozen GF foods and the lady there had my pre-ordered foods ready when I arrived
Whilst I haven't yet tried most of what I purchased, I did eat the Gf sausage roll and it was far better than I expected (delicious and pastry fabulous - which is very hard to find in GF options)
Friendly and very helpful lady behind the counter and the young man working was so kind as to help my elderly aunt up from her seat when he saw she was struggling
Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back
This place is fabulous for those looking for gluten free goods, the options are endless and delicious! The sweet and sour pork was absolutely outstanding and the vermeceli noodles were to die for. I would 100% recommend checking it out as a dinner spot/date spot! A nice and relaxing restaurant that l will definitely be returning to in the future :)
Attentive and knowledgeable staff. They do a great range of gluten free galettes, both savoury and sweet. Quick service with fresh produce. Definitely recommend for GF meals.
So many gluten free pastry options! I tried the chocolate croissant, almond crossaint, Portuguese tart and cinnamon swirl, hey we’re all very tasty. The prices have increased since the previous photos so I included those.
They are dear, but worth it in my opinion.
Amazing place for the celiacs under us, almost everything gluten free. Had the fish tacos and a chocolate chip cookie and both were delicious and don’t get me started on the coffee, perfection
My girlfriend is a celiac and am so thankful they put effort and time in catering for my requirements. We had a wide variety of choices to choose from and the food came out amazing. Would definitely come again.
The burgers are always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly crafted. The fact that they offer gluten-free options is a huge plus—so great to have a delicious and inclusive menu. The service is friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere is always welcoming.
A beautiful little cafe with beautiful staff!! We had an amazing Brekky (gluten free catered for, it was above and beyond!) and coffee, and were greeted by the most lovely staff. I was super excited to discover all the gluten free sweet treats they had to offer, so obviously had to get some to take away! Will be back next time we are in Jindabyne! Thanks guys xx
Is your nan gluten free? Because it was dreadful.
Better not go there hungry or you will starve until they finally serve you the food.
Too loud music, everyone needs to speak as if you’re inside a club… at noon and having lunch…
This was our second time at Mother Chu’s. It is strictly vegan and they have a variety of dishes that mimic meat. I enjoyed a steamed bun with a barbecued filling. I’ve never had a steamed bun before but it was delicious and filling. I had the wonton noodle soup which had 4 nice sized wontons and a tasty broth. Hubs and I shared the Mongolian style gluten dish. You get a lot of food. Not a lot of ambiance but always crowded as the food is that good. Our server is a very special woman who we met last year when our friend brought us there and she remembered us. It is definitely a place we will return to when we visit Sydney.
We usually stop here when checking out Vivid Sydney as they do gluten free savoury and sweet crepes... and serve alcohol. It's a great spot to begin checking out Vivid too with a short walk to Australia House.
Wow — just wow! Unbelievable gluten-free seafood that completely blew me away. The crumbed calamari, salt and pepper squid, and baby octopus were absolutely next level crispy, flavourful, and perfectly cooked. I genuinely can’t get enough!
The only tiny letdown? No gluten-free fish cocktails yet but fingers crossed they add them soon.
If you’re coeliac or gluten-sensitive, this place is a dream come true. Run, don’t walk! It’s conveniently located right across from Terrigal Beach, and you can even order and enjoy your meal right on the sand. Pure bliss.
Gluten free fish was decent, but fish and chips served undersalted and with a tiny wedge of lemon.
Far bigger complaint in the 45 minute wait when others that ordered well after us walked out with their food. We followed up twice on our order before it finally came out.
Stopped in here for some food. Awesome customer service, delicious food, well priced and lots of gluten free options. After eating there I cannot believe that this restaurant isn't more highly rated.
