Unbelievably tasty crispy pillowy chewy gluten-free pizza crust I’ve ever tried. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️My go-to so far is the ‘Sofia’ with mushrooms, artichoke & Italian ham. Superb service. Take your date, your mum, or heck yourself, here for a treat!
Officine Buona Forchetta's expansive menu accommodated our family's dietary needs and left us all well fed! From the artisan pizzas, build your own pasta dishes, to the gluten-free pizza crust, every selection was molto bene! 🤌 The staff were incredibly nice. The only slight criticism is the cocktails were weak.
First time here after seeing many positive reviews for celiac diners who have to eat gluten free. I also need to be dairy free and egg free and that had a generous selection of vegan items so I had high hopes for a good experience. They met my expectations! The sever made me feel comfortable right away when I let him
know my needs. He directed me to the 2 gf pasta choices and the vegan sauces. They even had bread I could eat with their amazing tomato sauce. It’s been years since I’ve been able to have bread in a restaurant with my family. The pasta even held up to being reheated for leftovers without falling apart- bravo!!!
Wow. Just wow. We just had an absolutely elite meal here. It's an unassuming spot, with a casual but cozy ambiance. Great for a date, celebration, or really any time you want a delicious plate of pasta.
If they have the mushroom flan, start with that. It was savory, and flavorful. We had the gluten free version, but I'm sure the normal is excellent as well.
I was impressed with the range of gluten free options, which is always appreciated for me (celiac). My partner had the crab and shrimp cream sauce with lemon linguini pasta, and she raved about it. I had the same linguini, but with the sausage saffron sauce, and loved it.
The dessert menu had a number of decadent sounding options, we settled for thr ugly chocolate cake and the GF tiaramisu. The tiaramisu was so creamy it was almost a pudding - tasty, and melt in your mouth smooth. The ugly chocolate cake (that's what they call it) was lighter than I expected, rich, but kinda airy like a soufflé.
Anyway, I can't say enough about this spot. It's a gem. If you want good pasta, this place delivers in spades.
TLDR: celiac friendly
My celiac friend and I stopped by to try out their gluten free flatbread and she took half of hers to go which is highly uncommon. Most gf breads are like cardboard or rubbery but this flatbread tasted just like gluten bread! She didn't get sick so there was definitely no gluten in it but whatever it was, it was amazing!
I ordered gluten full tortellini which looked and tasted like it was made in house and I was completely satisfied with my meal. We stopped by just as happy hour was ending and our waiter was quick to help us get some happy hour wine orders in before it was too late.
The bathroom... it an experience. Like many cities, some locations work within their confines and RoVino got very clever. The restroom is a short walk outside the restaurant which at first seems so strange because they have someone walk you down to it. At the end of the block, tucked away you'll find a very clean little walk to a door with their logo. Type in the code and you enter a 1 stall restroom. It was so random but well done, I'll be talking about that little experience for a while.
Had a wonderful dinner here this evening. I am gluten free and ordered the gnocchi and my husband had the lamb tagliatelle pasta. Great portion sizes. We ordered a bottle of the Super Tuscan which is luscious! We took what was left with us. We shared the misto salad which they graciously split for us. Our service and food were wonderful. We have been to Italy and this is top notch.
Folks Italy is Italy-it’s the terroir of there and cannot be matched but this came pretty darn close! Would defiantly eat here again.
We stopped by while in the area for lunch. It was a sunny day and we were thrilled we didn’t have to wait and got a table outside under cover for shade. I ordered a gluten free flatbread with prosciutto and arugula. It was a nice size, very tasty and fresh ingredients. Service was good even though it was a busy day.
I love this place! The pizza is soo good and service is excellent. They have the best gluten free pizza options. Great brunch menu as well. Definitely recommend this place.
I ordered about 25 pizzas for a company lunch and worked with Mona. She was great! Our order was correct, delivery was on time, and none of the pies were burnt or lacking in toppings. I also love that they offer GF pizza since we have one employee with a gluten allergy. We will be ordering again!
Great restaurant! Pasta is homemade, seafood is fresh and locally caught. If you are looking for a real Italian pizza you’ll be stoked. They also have an astonishing wine list!! Friendly atmosphere and great service.
The ossobuco and the filet were delicious, as Maria’s lasagna.
There are also a lot of gluten free and vegan options.
North Italia in One Paseo is my new favorite Italian food restaurant! Every single team member we encountered was extremely friendly, professional, and helpful.
The kitchen & bar outdid themselves everybody enjoyed their dishes and drinks from the Brussels sprouts to the fried zuchinni chips, bread, pastas, pizzas, and salads. I’m gluten free and was so happy to see such an accommodating menu. I ordered the pesto chicken pasta and loved every bite!
We had a big party of twelve and a late reservation, because our previous dinner reservations fell through. Honestly, I’m so happy they did. Despite our not-so-simple request for a Saturday night reservation at a busy location, they happily welcomed us in and took such good care of us!
Thank you Nicole, Garrett, and all staff!
Excellent pasta, homemade as well! I'm from the land of Italians, this is 100% a hidden gem.
The gluten free pasta was also delicious. It was much fresher than any other gf pasta I've tried. My girl is allergic so we try it all.
We had a very positive experience at Leucadia Pizzeria. The service and food were excellent. I like the easy-going atmosphere here. The decor is fun and casual. They have a variety of pizzas and salads. We have also tried the chicken wings and the raspberry cheesecake. The sauces are unique and delicious. It is one our favorite places in the area. They have gluten free crust and it is fantastic. That is not always the case.

Our waiter Luca, didn't give us the full experience. Sadly I heard another waitress doing her job with such class and enthusiasm. No specials were said, the other waitress greeted her table with the specials. Apparently we weren't special. My husband's meal was lacking flavor and chicken. 3 small bits of chicken with his penne pasta. My daughters Alfredo, sauce was bland and this Mama never adds salt to ANYTHING, but this NEEDED it. It was great after I added some flavor. My tortellini fungi was amazing. My son's pizza and my mother gluten free pizza(yes they have gluten free pasta and pizza)was tasty. Never did we just get drink refills, we had to ask. Sadly I wished our waiter made our first experience here a nicer one. Don't think hubby will want to come back. 😢
I read the reviews prior to going in tonight and the reviews almost deterred me from going in.
I have nostalgia coming to Filippis as a kid playing on various sports teams. For some reason the sports awards would always take place at Flippis and the team would enjoy a large shared meal. Their pizza sauce always stood out to me.
Fast forward to my adult years, there’s so many pizza places, especially in Pacific Beach that I had written off Filippis as a thing of the past.
Was I wrong. I was solo parenting tonight and took my two toddles here for dinner.
They immediately gave my girls pizza dough to play with. This kept them busy until the food came out. The girls loved their pizza and I ordered their gluten free pizza. Honestly, it was the best gluten free crust and pizza I ever had. Their pizza sauce was just how I remembered it. Their cheese blanked over the toppings. It was delightful. It was filling and it didnt feel gluttonous.
The server at the end gave my girls complimentary ice cream with a small side note to me asking for permission.
The server was kind and patient with my girls. I’ve lived in PB the past 10 years and this should have been my go-to all along.

My family and I went here for dinner and thought it was pretty good! The rest of my family got the normal BYO pasta and sauce, I got the gluten free spaghetti arrabiatta. I felt really jipped on my pasta and it was all broken apart. I’ve made gluten free spaghetti before so I think it was overcooked, and there was WAY too much sauce. Otherwise, everyone else enjoyed their food. I was a little confused too as to why the pesto had fresh ricotta mixed in, as that isn’t traditional of pesto sauce. Overall, nice ambiance and a good-sized restaurant, and the food tasted good, but I think the gluten free game for how they serve it to customers needs to be improved a bit.
I've never had less than a great experience with Best Pizza. The pizza is consistently really good, the happy hour is solid, and the gluten free crust is better than most other spots
After many years I keep coming to Piacere Mio because they still have a really amazing customer service, I can eat delicious gluten free food, and now they have a Caprese Al Cioccolato desert (gluten free) that is delicious and guilt free.
All the staff is amazing, Paolo and Carol are outstanding with their customer service skills, very social and friendly.
We were blown away by the food! My daughter is Celiac so finding a restaurant that is safe is really a challenge, forget about it being fine dining. The staff was knowledgeable and caring about our concerns, plus there were so many options my daughter could safely choose from! We started with the Zucca (a delicious butternut squash salad) and finished with the Ditalini, a seafood-packed broth with HOMEMADE gluten-free pasta that is cooked separately, making it safe for celiacs. We were truly delighted by our experience at Cori and will definitely be back soon! Thank you for taking food allergies so seriously!
Fantastic pizza! Great employees. I had a wonderful experience and look forward to my next visit. They understand gluten free.... No cross contamination here!
We ordered pick up. The gluten free crust white pizza with sausage was yummy. The pepperoni pizza was yums also. Good balance of herbs spices cheese and meat. Will Oder from here again.
We just had breakfast here. Searched on line for a gluten free restaurant and this was recommended. Our waitress Alex’s service was very good and she made sure the order was gluten free for a celiac and the food was very good. The gluten food was also very good. Great little restaurant.
We stumbled upon Pastalini during our kitchen remodel, and let me tell you, it's become our absolute favorite go-to spot for a reason! It's our little ritual now: tackle the tedious kitchen design choices, then reward ourselves with a wonderfully relaxing and delicious date dinner. This place truly is a special find.
The pasta at Pastalini? It’s simply exquisite and takes me right back to my childhood, reminiscent of those beloved local Italian restaurants from my New York days. You know, the kind of place where the food just feels like a hug. And the best part? It's incredibly affordable without ever compromising on quality – truly amazing food that won't break the bank.
But what truly elevates Pastalini to the top of my list is the phenomenal staff. They are consistently friendly, incredibly helpful, and genuinely fun. As someone with dietary needs, I was particularly thrilled by how extremely gluten-conscious they are; it makes dining out such a breeze and a joy. They make you feel so welcomed, almost like part of their own family. It’s that kind of personal touch that makes a place truly shine, don't you think?
Now, let's talk about the ambiance. While the decor might not win any awards for modern design, honestly, in this case, I'm absolutely willing to overlook it. The warmth of the staff and the sheer deliciousness of the food create such a wonderful atmosphere that even for a romantic date, it works perfectly. Plus, their unique bar-style setup is fantastic! It's like those build-your-own bowl places where you see all the fresh ingredients and customize your craving right in front of you, but with pasta! It’s a truly engaging and delightful way to dine. You simply have to try Pastalini!
Exquisite Italian food they can make any of their pastas gluten free. Friendly servers but they forgot to put extra meat on our pasta and they forgot the dessert. But still it's a five star place.
Luckily we went there early on a weekday, before it was too crowded. Food was awesome. My fiance ordered a Gluten Free pizza and I ordered the chicken piccata. We didn't have to wait very long. Prices were good too. Highly recommend 👌
Modern take on authentic Italian. We LOVED the vibes at Elvira!! Very charming and old school but updated. Feels like nonna’s house with all the comfort and grandma vibes you miss from growing up but add an amazing knowledgeable staff and sick vibes. The food was incredible!
They are very aware of allergies and actually asked it as their first question. they have many options for gluten and vegan!!!
If I had to say one negative I’d say the bathrooms could use more charm as design as the rest of the restaurant. But overall truly an amazing experience. Must do in San Diego !!!
For all my food allergy people stay away. The menu claims to have options for vegan and gluten-free, but doesn't have safeguards in place to accommodate people. A great example is when I ordered the one thing on the menu I was told was safe for me and I was served gluten, my allergy. The waitress wasn't the issue, it was the kitchen. I specifically picked this restaurant for its Sunday Jazz and because they had the menu marked up as gluten-free. Out of the 4 of us who were in my party I didn't get to eat anything because the chef claimed he couldn't serve me safely. My question is why mark your menu up with accommodation being available and not be educated enough to accommodate? The food that my companions ordered looked so so. The feeling I got from the restaurant is that it's popular, but a lack of effort from the back of the house is going to hurt the front of the house. It's a no for me. Never again

Service great. Food was not what I expected. I am a ravioli person for sure. For a higher end restaurant, I guess I expected to taste the lobster in lobster ravioli. The sauce needed more flavor too. My friend ordered gluten free pasta, and it was very very al dente. Atmosphere was nice, but it's definitely busy on weekends and pretty loud. Don't expect to have a quiet romantic date and be able to hear everything. I may come back to try the cocktails and bar area, since it is in the neighborhood. But, not for the food unfortunately.
Legit new york style pizzeria in the heart of Little Italy San Diego.
Full meal for under $12. THANK YOU!!!
Lots of seating inside and out.
I dream of their new Hot Honey Ricotta Pie. Their meat pizzas and even their vegan and gluten free pizza are so yummy!!!
Beer selection and wine are great too.
They have a big sign saying ' Welcome Pizza Lovers'. Hahaha I guess I'm welcome here!
A pleasant experience
Great gluten-free pizza. Pricey and flat, but tasty!
Potato skins were good, sandwiches were good, attentive but not annoying server.
We would highly recommend Ristorante Illando and its staff if you are looking for a beautiful and delicious meal in downtown San Diego. Everything was perfect from the choices of beer and wine to the beautifully crafted food. And best of all, they offer Gluten Free Pasta for those with an issue eating gluten and the taste was still superb. The wait staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive without being overbearing. Five Stars all around!
Ive ordered a few times on doordash and i unfortunately have a gluten allergy. Although there is no option on doordash for gluten free, I was able to call and request it be made that way. They are super helpful and willing to accommodate my allergy. And it’s hands down the BEST gluten free pizza I’ve found in SoCal. The crust is NOT frozen, which is so hard to find! I’m gonna miss this place when I move out of state. Thank you Gelati and Peccati!!
