This was lovely. As a human with gluten intolerance it gets old feeling like I have to apologize for asking what the ingredients are and explaining why and what half the time in restaurants. Here, everything is clearly marked, our waiter asked about preferences right up front and was able to say what menu items to avoid and how other menu items could be easily modified. He was fantastic. The food and cocktails were delicious as was the ambience.

Wow! As a gluten free eater I just got to feel like a normal person! Emmy's Detroit style GF pizza crust is legit. We had the Big Hawaiian and the flavors were so delicious!!! Definitely worth going out of your way for this GF pizza!

I had only been to Impellizzeri's once, may years ago, but I've had to avoid gluten for the past 19 years so my pizza options can be limiting. Impellizzeri's was a killer experience. The Bianco on a gf crust, grassfed meatballs, and the antipasto salad were all perfect. The staff was super friendly and it was a great dining experinece. Would recommend and will definitely be back.

Shelby (with the awesome hair) was our server on our first visit. She helped us pick menu items that could be adjusted to be gluten-free, and she was spot-on about the amount of food two ladies needed for lunch. Appreciated that!

Visit # 3, we went today to use our inkind app cash back and to try the gluten free desserts by the Silly Axe Cafe as I have to have GF. The GF pina colada tiramisu was good but a very small portion for $9. We also got the cookies and cream cake slice for $9. Do not get this. It tastes awful. I know the GF desserts can have a different taste and I'm used to it but this was not good. Stay with the pina colada tiramisu.
Visit # 2, was with our kids and they liked the golf.
Visit# 1, First time trying South Seas. It was my husband's birthday today so we wanted something new. Everything was great! Drinks were awesome, a little pricy though. I had the Blue Hawaiian and Miami Vice. My husband had 2 of the beers on tap. Bartender was very knowledgeable. He was great to chat with. Queso and chips app was really good. Husband had the Cali double burger and I had the Duke breakfast.
A Real Italian Deli!
The taco place was closed, so we popped in to the deli and got a picnic lunch to take to the park.
Stop in the new coffee shop and try your favorite coffee drink or get an Italian soda. There's a HUGE selection of Torrani syrups and the staff is top notch!
Lots of gluten-free items in the deli side. I didn't look for GF pasta, but there's lots of olives, cheeses, chicken salad, fresh salads, etc.
The bread smells wonderful, but I can't eat it so you'll have to try it yourself.
Lots Pasta is the best place to get little fancy items to finish off a gift basket or food present if any kind.
I will no longer recommend Martini’s. For the second time, my husband made reservations and placed an advanced order for my gluten free lasagna only for us to arrive and not have a reservation on file, not the gluten free lasagna. Will definitely be finding a different Italian restaurant. The manager was not even apologetic.
This is a hidden gem in Downtown Louisville. They have fantastic food for all tastes. The vegan menu is extensive. If you are gluten sensitive, go for the gluten-free injera bread. Definitely try the collards and green beans.
A friend and I decided on a whim to eat here. She had never had East Indian food and I loved the fact it was a vegetarian menu. The food was absolutely delicious, and we liked the no frills atmosphere. The portions were ample and we felt the prices were right for the quality and quantity of food served.
Perhaps the most impressive aspect of our visit was after our meal. A womyn who worked there (orgot her name 😞) approached us and asked for suggestions on how to improve the customer experience! Wow! That is a first! We suggested not using Styrofoam and identifying various menu items as gluten-free, etc. We are both gluten intolerant. It was refreshing to see a business so keen on customer feedback.
We will be visiting again for sure!
