They are not open until "11 every day" as their website says. We made a special trip to this restaurant for gluten free pizza and arrived at 9:15pm only to be told they would be closing at 9:30. The woman was quite rude when she told us they are only open until 9:30 on Mondays. Change your website to something that is accurate.

There is an ongoing debate around who makes the best cannoli in Boston. The most popular answers are Mike’s, Modern, and Bova’s. We were recommended to these three bakeries by different friends, and we ended up choosing Modern. (1) Unlike the other spots, Modern Pastry fills the cannoli with fresh ingredients when you order. This ensures the crispiness of the shell, as the fillings won’t make the shell soggy while sitting in the pastry shelf all day. (2) You can customize the filling, shell and toppings at Modern. They even have gluten-free shell available. Chocolate dipped shell and ricotta filling are fire. (3) The takeout line is long but it moves fast. They also do delivery via Grubhub if you want to avoid the wait. *Pistachio Plain Cannoli I picked plain shell with crushed pistachio and ricotta filling. The shell felt so crunchy and fresh. The ricotta was rich, creamy and not sickly sweet. I loved the generous amount of pistachio dip. *Chocolate Chip Cannoli My bf chose chocolate dipped shell with chocolate chips and ricotta filling. The chocolate dipped shell was so good that I regretted a little not getting it! *Key Lime Pie The sharpness of the lime was like a punch in your face. The lemon custard filling was very acidic and citrusy in a good way, while the biscuit crust added a crunch to the pie.

Amazing experience all around. Innovative menu, great service and atmosphere, and delicious food. The fusion between French and Cambodian is done with separate menu sections, but some influence across boundaries. Perfect for a date night or a group. The bar has an annoyingly-large and out of place TV though. Appetizer: Kapik King, a slow-cooked spiced pork belly with a rice croquette and pickles, was perfectly cooked and spiced, and a good portion. The three parts of the dish complemented each other - the melt-in-your-mouth sweet-and-spicy meat, crispy rice, and crunchy salty pickles. 5/5 Appetizer: Leah Chah, mussels in a white whine sauce but with an Asian twist, almost like a light curry. Definitely better than the standard, but two complaints: pretty small portion, and no bread for dipping. 4/5 Entree: Pavé de Saumon, beautifully cooked salmon with mushrooms, over mashed potatoes, and with an arugula side salad. Flavorful, French, and good portion. 5/5 Entree: Curry d’Agneau aux Légumes, braised lamb curry with veggies, Cambodian, bursting with flavor from all the spice, good portion size. 5/5 Desserts: Le Péché au Chocolat, a rich French chocolate truffle cake with raspberry, and Sangkhia l’Pao, a Cambodian squash and coconut cake that was less sweet but nonetheless an awesome dessert with good texture. 4/5 Drinks: non-alcoholic: Elephant Walk Punch (blood orange, passion fruit, lime) 5/5 Kalamansi agave limeade (kalamansi is a Filipino relative of an orange), but it was too orangey, 4/5 Some of these dishes were on the special menu, which is always long, so you may not find these exact dishes when you go. Good vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten free-options. We went for Dine Out Boston, so it was $46 for appetizer, entree, and dessert, and we got $9 nonalcoholic spritzers, but normally it would be $13-17 for an appetizer and and $24-32 for an entree. So not too bad.

Absolutely amazing! The staff is thoroughly trained and managers bring allergies to the table. They even use a black napkin under allergy plates as a signal to all employees that the dish is an allergy. They use casarecce GF pasta - so they can know it’s GF just by looking at it. I felt incredibly safe eating here, and I got an almond flour cannoli!

I went here with two girlfriends and sat at the bar. We order the beans, the hummus with arugula and prosciutto and a gluten free crust pizza. All of it was spectacular. The pizza crust was a think crust - but texture and flavor were spot on! The bean dish was out of this world and the sauce was excellent. Cocktails were also good and service impeccable. Highly recommend.
