Three of us had a late lunch here today and the food was fantastic. One of our party members has celiac so the menu being almost completely gluten free without having to ask for substitutions was why we gave it a try.
We tried the mozzarella sticks, fish and chips, banger and mash and finally the sticky toffee pudding cake. Everything came out very hot and delicious with generous portions even from the lunch menu.
Service was great as well. She knew the dish’s ingredient information and was very kind and attentive.
Service is always top notch! The food was excellent, the creme brulee and drinks were awesome! I love the fact that they have so many gluten free options. Definitely will be back!
I’ve been eating here for years and taking all my celiac friends as well when they come to town. They are always blown away by the GF selections and how even for an Italian restaurant, it’s extremely celiac safe. Their one complaint is that they need to buy bigger pants due to the weight gain. Thank you Kenny and team for everything you do to include the GF/Celiac community within your dining experience.
Now, check out all of Kennys other restaurants, cause they are safe too!
I ordered gluten free items on the menu (told the server I have Celiac - he said he had a celiac button on the register). The food did not come out with the gluten free flags. As someone with celiac, this is a great comfort to know the food was prepped with caution and not mixed up in the kitchen!
Jonathan was amazing, so hospitable and knowledgeable! Gluten free options and omg was it amazing. To get a Primavera, grilled chicken, GF and to be so flavorful! The entire experience was 5 stars!

I have celiac and we had the pizza and a chopped salad. So far no reaction, thankfully. Pizza was good- kind of the same pre-made crust we would get. Important to note that having the right server makes all the difference. When we arrived we had a newer server who didn’t know much about GF🚩. We came for the pizza, so I took a long time trying to figure out what to eat. Thankfully the server we had was off shift and our new server was super knowledgeable, confirmed they had a separate oven and kitchen (server #1 was certain they did not). A little frustrating, but glad we stuck it out. Will definitely go back.

My family and I had a wonderful time here. The wait staff was very kind and accommodating to some of us needing gluten free options. They even had their own gluten free menu which made it very easy to find what we wanted to eat.
My wife is not gluten free and loved the bread. Not to mention, all pasta and pizza dough is made from scratch every morning. I love the idea of knowing my food hasn’t been sitting for days in a fridge.
When I’m back in South Padre, I would dine here again.
I love Palio's - the Mediterranean is my favorite & Mom likes the Hawaiian. They have good beer & wine and a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. It's a good place to order, pick up pizza and go, as well - the wait time isn't very long. Palio's also has cauliflower crusts for the gluten free crowd which is nice. It's my favorite pizza place in town!
I absolutely loved this!!!!! gluten-free beer and pizza!!! I let the server know I was Gluten Free and they made sure to show me all my options. They can accommodate most of the menu to be Gluten Free!
Mario’s Seawall has a great atmosphere and delicious food, but unfortunately, my experience as a celiac girlie wasn’t the best. While they do offer gluten-free options, I ended up getting glutened, which was really disappointing. The flavors were amazing, and I wish I could confidently return, but if you have celiac or a severe gluten intolerance, I’d recommend being extra cautious and double-checking with the staff.

Non Gluten Eaters— This review is for you. We were looking for somewhere to eat dinner where we could watch a hockey game and I could eat decent food as a gluten free eater.
Taverna Rossa had a good amount of TVs and a gluten free menu to make those options accessible and easy to find. They verified whether I had an allergy.
I tried the chips & queso, which I enjoyed. The GF vegan pizza crust was decent and the amount of toppings on it was a good balance.
I also tried a cider and their root beer on tap.
The service was good (even helping me find a good table to have multiple views of TVs for our party). Great that the restrooms were clean too.
I’d definitely recommend trying out this place if you’re looking for either of these things!
Amazing food! I thought it was vegetarian and was so surprised to find out it was totally vegan and gluten-free! I truly didn’t miss anything. Packed with flavours and spices.
Cute decor. Was a little hard to find but totally worth it.
Great place. Highly recommend and we’ll be back.
Celiac friendly! Great wine selection and delish food. My 15 year old loved the fried chicken and cheesecake. Aesthetics were bougie and beautiful. Recommend.
Tonight we had our church volunteer appreciation dinner at Carrabba’s. What an awesome night!
The restaurant looks stunning, even more so than usual with all the holiday decorations.
I have been coming here for many years, and it is always beautiful and an amazing experience.
Tonight Ishmael and Darwin and the support staff were wonderful. I never had to ask for my glass to be refilled, or my plate to be taken.
No small task with 25 people in the room for dinner. Being a former server it always is a breath of fresh air to receive excellent service, especially in this day and age of lackluster experiences at most restaurants after 2020.
Every modification I asked for was kindly given to me, which I really appreciated because of being gluten free but still wanting the chicken Marsala. They had a smile on their face after any request that was made by anyone at the table, and I felt like family as I sat there.
It was absolutely delicious! The chicken Marsala here is probably the best I’ve ever had. I ate the chicken Marsala at one of the franchises of Carraba’s at the airport in Atlanta in October and it was not even close. It didn’t even compare to how delicious the food is here st the Original.
The servers even knew exactly when to close the doors so that we could have some quiet while we ate, visited, played a game, and went around the room to talk about the past year and our grateful hearts for our church family and our pastors.
Although I do my best to give compliments instead of complaints, I don’t always succeed in remembering to do it.
However, I had to post a review now while I was thinking about it so you would know how happy the whole group was with the meal and the service.
Thanks for always being consistently great, guys!
Gluten free pizza 14". One of the best gluten free pizzas I've ever had. Usually the toppings are light and there's barely enough cheese or meat on the pizza. I will definitely be getting another one!
Great Gluten Free Alfredo but do NOT order with Favor!
Management handled this situation well, but I will be sick for multiple days because my order did not display as gluten free when Favor reported it to the restaurant. Thankfully, I had eaten here almost a year ago and remembered that their gluten free alfredo comes with rotini (corkscrew) pasta and not fettuccini noodles so I only had a few bites before calling the restaurant.
Roman Cucina has an extensive gluten free menu, and their food tastes great. Plan a time to go in-person and enjoy their weekday drink specials.
Five stars for the staff and food. Zero stars for Favor (at this location).
Went here for brunch and it was great! Pretty patio, and a mimosa flight is only $6! They have so many gluten free and vegan options, so there is something for everyone. Cute place
Hands down my favorite place to get pasta. They sub in a tender GF penne for you, and the sauces that are GF are clearly marked on the menu. My favorite is the chicken “fettuccine” (in quotes because you will get GF penne instead) with caramelized onions and mushrooms. The bolognese is also excellent!
You can even get a flourless chocolate ganache cake which is delicious! Large enough to share with 2 people easily.

Great place for Italian food and especially gluten free! Our server Joey was phenomenal. He offers awesome suggestions. I thoroughly appreciate how well he took care of me and my family for Mother’s Day dinner. As a celiac, dining safely is priority and Joey went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.

I came here one day and had the best burger I have had in my entire life on gluten free sourdough! Since then I have come several times after that for the same meal to be told they didn’t order any bread. Why does a restaurant not order bread? Please let me come and enjoy a meal and not leave without eating wondering why bread wasn’t ordered that would be nice.
This restaurant had five stars from my family until today. I ordered carryout for our typical order that’s $250+. My elementary school daughter is celiac and has to eat gluten free options. Her order tonight was terrible. We order this regularly, too. The pasta was far undercooked (crunchy, not merely al dente), and the sauce was an awfully sour and watery green mess. The cooks forgot half the recipe in the sauce, no pine nuts, no cheese, no capers. Very disappointing. Now, I have to source new food for her at 8:30 at night.
Had a great time here for my birthday dinner with friends! I made a reservation on open table which was also very easy. They have complimentary valet parking which is amazing in this area. I had the butterfly spritz, shrimp scampi and complimentary birthday tiramisu which was incredible! The staff were all lovely and so accommodating of gluten free and vegan dietary restrictions in our party. Also the prices were so reasonable for the quality of everything. Would definitely go back for another nice occasion!

While this place is cute the food and service were a massive let down. As a gluten free family we were really hopeful.
We waited an hour after ordering to recieve a doughy, majorly undercooked pizza, 2 wrong orders, overcooked noodles, and what tasted like canned sauces.
On top of that if we wanted an appetizer order of gluten free bread it would be $10 for prepackaged bread. I can ok paying $10 for homemade gluten free bread, but $10 for the stuff i can get for $6 at Aldi? No way.
As for those wrong orders? They rushed trying to make them right making them messed up STILL. The lemon wine sauce was straight up wine with some lemon squirted in it and my filet would have tasted better if it was from a texas roadhouse, at least it would have had flavor. $30 for an unseasoned steak and very very sour and off tasting horseradish potatoes was not worth it.
The food was such a disappointment I turned down dessert, which for me is a big deal. I just didn't want to order a cream brulee and have it taste like eggs or something.
Overall this place wasn't worth the price nor the insane wait when we arrived at a very slow time.
My mom and I stopped at this restaurant on our drive out to Utah. This place is super cute, the food is absolutely delicious, and even the bathrooms have fun art in them. I always appreciate when a restaurant makes an effort to create nice bathrooms.
I got the gluten-free pasta with the creamy pesto and baked parm on top, and I moaned out loud on my first bite. Hence the 5-stars. My mom got the meatless with the tuscan pork, which was amazing.
Our waiter, JC, was excellent, friendly, and funny. Great friendly service all around.
Great food. It would be nice if there were more Gluten Free options but the choices they had were good. We got the pork chop and fried zucchini. Didn’t have any issues.

Rails offers gluten free bread and pasta options. Always normally have 1 gluten free dessert like a cheesecake from their sweet shop next door! One of my favorites in town!
This place is really amazing! The service was top tier! They have gluten free options, I was able to get an Appetizer, Meal, and Dessert. The Whipped Ricotta with Gluten-free chips was very good, the Americano Pizza with Gluten-free crust was even better, and Oh my goodness the Gluten-free Torte was to die for. Highly recommend!
We were seated with Jordan on Father’s Day. He was incredibly patient, friendly, knowledgeable (gluten allergies), and accommodating. Jordan made our experience very special and memorable. We will ask for him when we return!
Crisp is super yummmmy !! I really enjoy their gluten free pizzas and I’m gluten free .
Love the drinks as well.
Parking isn’t bad which is good, solid three stalls in the bathroom . The music isn’t super loud , The outside is nice on a good weather day. Happy hour is the way to go as the GF crust is an extra
$6 which is steep tbh.
Great, friendly service from Leanna! She was able to discuss gluten-free options - difficult to eat out having Celiac but she helped us choose a delicious gf meal.
Highly recommend -
They are always so friendly, and helpful with wine choices. I love going here, and have taken many of my friends and family members.
Wish there were a couple more gluten free/grain free dishes. I tend to order the same 2 dishes again and again.
As much as I’ve enjoyed eating here and the atmosphere, I have a complaint. I ordered a gluten free cheese pizza. All of their pizzas cost $18 even if you opt for just cheese and red sauce. That is to say, you can order a pizza w meat and veggies, pizzas w many different veggies and meat, with veggies, spices(oregano), rocket (arugula)…All of these pizzas cost $18 and most come w 3-6 toppings (including pepperoni and sausage, in fact you can add sausage to the fungi pizza for no extra cost) except the cheese pizza which is just cheese. I asked our server for oregano(which is standard on some pizzas) and rocket (arugula, also standard on some) and I was charged $1 for oregano and $2 for rocket. I also paid $4 extra for gluten, which I’m accustomed to paying extra for and it was stated on the menu. What I didn’t expect was to be up charged $3 dollars for ingredients that comes on their pizzas to begin with. I also asked for less cheese so there’s that too. My small pizza came out to cost 💲26.00 which I find absurd. I hope ER takes this pricing into consideration in the future. I expect to order a spice and some lettuce on my pizza and not be up charged when most of their pizzas include this for $18. Also, my husband had the salmon, which was delicious, but it looked to be 5oz and was served w 2 asparagus spears and a half cup of capellini. Actually looked like a child’s plate and we aren’t large people!!
