This was my first time eating at BJ's and I will never come back. I got a chicken sandwich and my girlfriend got a cauliflower pizza. The food wasn't anything special and definitely over-priced. We finished it off with a "gluten free" cookie dessert which was pretty good. Immediately finishing our meals, we both rushed to the bathroom, 3 days later we are both still battling these food poisoning symptoms.
Been here a few times and try something new each time… it’s always great!
I love the outdoor-in-the-indoors atmosphere.
Everything is super kid friendly too- I’ve taken my kids and never had a problem getting something to match their picky needs.
This has also become a great go-to option when I’m doing brunch w my gluten free friends.
It's a great place for brunch, there was a little wait but it was worth it. Great variety of foods and different options for everyone. They have a good selection of gluten free items.
We had 7 in our group. 4 kids and 3 adults. I am Gluten free and they were so willing and able to accommodate my needs. I had the Kilauea burger without bun and a side Caesar salad. It was so good I want to go back very soon.
The server was great and the manager came over as well. Everyone was friendly and it was clean and the temperature was comfortable.
Highly recommend.
Stopped in for lunch and already have plans to go back. Our waitress was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and happy to provide recommendations. The ultimate burrito was huge (easily enough for two people), stuffed, and delicious. They accomodated a gluten allergy by serving the fish tacos in lettuce cups. Easily my new favorite mexican restaurant in North Phoenix/Scottsdale.
A very nice meal on a day when we "missed" lunch due to an unexpected snafu. The counter people were so pleasant and kind, allowing us to order a wonderful gluten free shrimp spring roll appetizer while trying to make up our minds about entrees. My companion opted for a gluten free shrimp Pho while I ordered a gluten free chicken bun dish.
The white meat chicken was excellently cooked. They offered me a choice of GF sauce - fish sauce or their custom made lemon grass sauce. I tried a little of each and would recommend the fish sauce if you want a little saltiness and the lemon grass is more of a light vinegarette.
My only "complaint" might be the limited options for the boba drinks. We like a Thai tea flavor that they don't carry, but by the time we finished our scrumptious food, we weren't worried about getting any extras as the portions are large.
I usually take a few photos but will have to wait until our next visit as we were so famished and the aroma was so tempting that I forgot anything besides enjoying an excellent meal.
This is a counter service, fast (very) casual vibe place. Don't expect fancy tables or chairs, just terrific food!
One of the best experiences at a restaurant! They are very accommodating of my gluten allergy. The food was amazing! And the service was outstanding!! I will be coming back!
Chloe H was awesome! So much better than any of the other staff I've encountered there before! She was delightful! She was considerate of me and my dog. The waitress last time didn't even bother to bring my dog water outside in the sun, but Chloe right away knew my baby should have water and brought her a bowl of water and was considerate to make sure both of our water stayed full. That's like night and day to the last female. Chloe was pleasant and chatted a bit with me. That last female treated me like it was a disturbance. I'm so glad that Chloe was there this time. I hope she's my waitress next time too. I feel the calculations on the receipt for tipping to be low when it's good service like hers. The last female asked if I needed my change back and out of a common response, I said no, but tbh I didn't feel that last girl deserved a round up of change to the nearest dollar. I gave Chloe H. a tip matching nearly 150% of my total because she deserved it.
I don't like how the restaurant charges literally every extra charge on top of the pricey meal though. State fee, city fee, taxes, plus an extra service fee then a price that cost them 5% of what they charge for the food. But the food is good and there's plenty of gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and keto options to choose from.
Robert working at the window is amazing and about 8 months ago he heard the engine of my car knocking when I pulled up to the window and he mentioned that it sounded like my oil was low. He was 100% right and because of him it saved me a potential seized up engine. I just saw him at the window today and recognized it was him and thanked him so much. Not only is the food amazing but to have a worker like Robert and I look out for the people in the community is amazing. He did not have to say anything but because he did I may have saved thousands of dollars all for the price of my gluten free lettuce wrapped burger. So worth it and he deserves a raise!
Fantastic restaurant and GREAT gluten free options. The staff was beyond accommodating. From the moment we checked in, everyone took that extra step to say happy birthday. The drinks were hand crafted and perfect. The food was beyond expectations. Would definitely recommend for a date night or formal night out with friends.
many great gluten friendly options to choose from!! super sweet, attentive, and exceptional service all around but especially from Brooklyn!! will definitely be back here, my new favorite spot!!
Kembara is a great place to amaze a guest! This elegant restaurant is perfect to impress a client, a prom date, or celebrate an anniversary. The atmosphere is sexy, the service is 5 star and the food is delicious. The chef did cater to our gluten free restrictions. Do not skip dessert. The Halo Halo and Vietnamese Coffee Donuts are mandatory!! We just celebrated the Chinese New Year with dinner at the Kembara and they put on a fantastic show!
It was really nice inside, nice atmosphere, they were able to sit 10 of us by calling ahead around 8:30 pm on Tuesday night. They have a vegetarian beyond burger probably the only thing that could be made vegan by removing the cheese and switching out the bread for gluten-free bread. I think the brioche bun is not vegan. Went with people that eat meat so my only food option. Good company, though. They let us split our bills individually, which was nice.
