Very disappointing to say the least, save your money and go somewhere else. Both deep fried dishes came cold and soggy from sitting on the pass while we waited for an entree salad and a burger to catch up. $4 for a gluten free bun is absurd but good on the bartenders for a delicious spicy marg. Kelowna local but I’ll never go back!
Delicious food, especially the gluten-free friendly menu. Great retro-modern decor! Really loud when it's busy. Service friendly, but infrequent: coffee refills were sparse. ☕👍🏻
We enjoyed dinner at Basil and Mint a few nights ago. The restaurant has a lovely outdoor setting and is a well decorated and laid out dinner area inside. Comfy seats and great ambience. The wine list was great, lots of BC wines 🙂 and the menu is very Gluten Friendly ✅
We had the beet salad and the soup which was a carrot ginger, both very good. Soup was exceptional actually! The sourdough garlic bread was really good. Mains were the prawns and lamb rack special. Again exceptional flavours and presentation. One lamb was under cooked to specification but our server was back checking on things promptly so back to the kitchen for some more cooking right away. Wonderful Tiramisu and Creme Brûlée to top it all off!
Daisy was our server. She was excellent, friendly, attentive and efficient. We had a 5 ⭐️ experience. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and come back when traveling here again.
It has some of the better tasting pizzas, but the outlandish prices are unwarranted in my humble opinion. My wife paid a very high price for a small gluten free with rather dry crust...
The food was average and overpriced. The mozzarella balls were pretty good but the tomato sauce they came with could have been made with more spices, tasted like it was basically just tomatoes. It also tasted like it was made out of canned crushed tomatoes. The pizza’s took a long time to come out even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. I got the arugula prosciutto pizza and it was fine, a little dry just having an olive oil sauce. I did the combo and the Caesar salad was strangely oily. The gluten free pizza crusts weren’t very good, which was disappointing since you have to pay extra to substitute and there’s so many good gluten free alternatives out there now. My boyfriend’s pizza crust was undercooked and when they put it back in the oven they brought it back to him burnt. The reason I’m giving two stars instead of three for the average food is because they didn’t compensate or discount my boyfriend’s pizza at all despite it being undercooked and then burnt. Our server was very lovely though and if our review was based off of her service alone it’d be 5 stars :)
Super friendly and helpful staff!!! I’ll say that much.
Got take out gluten free fish and chips, and it was really terrible, I can’t actually believe they would charge $20 for that! Fries were cold as soon as I picked it up, and the gf fish was very small, was thin (same thickness as a pancake) and soggy, looked like something you would buy in a box in the frozen section of the supermarket. I ate it because I was hungry and just paid big bucks for it, and now need to go find something else to have for dinner. Chances of me going back there ever are very slim. ☹️
Giving two stars because of the friendly staff.
