Very disappointing to say the least, save your money and go somewhere else. Both deep fried dishes came cold and soggy from sitting on the pass while we waited for an entree salad and a burger to catch up. $4 for a gluten free bun is absurd but good on the bartenders for a delicious spicy marg. Kelowna local but I’ll never go back!
Delicious food, especially the gluten-free friendly menu. Great retro-modern decor! Really loud when it's busy. Service friendly, but infrequent: coffee refills were sparse. ☕👍🏻
One of my routine go to places for lunch in the lower mission area. Excellent. Fresh. Clean. The staff is always super friendly and accommodate my requirements for celiac options with ease. Gluten free Ramen, rice bowls and even sushi are a bit tricky to come across in Kelowna. I am very grateful they have the knowledge and facility to accommodate - even down to the gluten free soy sauce. Rebecca is usually my server during the day and easily one of my favourite servers in the entire city. She is the sweetest and can usually guess what I’m going to order even before I have made the decision myself. 😂 Highly recommend!
We enjoyed dinner at Basil and Mint a few nights ago. The restaurant has a lovely outdoor setting and is a well decorated and laid out dinner area inside. Comfy seats and great ambience. The wine list was great, lots of BC wines 🙂 and the menu is very Gluten Friendly ✅
We had the beet salad and the soup which was a carrot ginger, both very good. Soup was exceptional actually! The sourdough garlic bread was really good. Mains were the prawns and lamb rack special. Again exceptional flavours and presentation. One lamb was under cooked to specification but our server was back checking on things promptly so back to the kitchen for some more cooking right away. Wonderful Tiramisu and Creme Brûlée to top it all off!
Daisy was our server. She was excellent, friendly, attentive and efficient. We had a 5 ⭐️ experience. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and come back when traveling here again.
Just had take out from Soy for the first time! Amazing! Had the dinner for 2 and every bite was delicious and fresh! I would highly recommend trying this place as it has gluten free and vegan options as well.
It has some of the better tasting pizzas, but the outlandish prices are unwarranted in my humble opinion. My wife paid a very high price for a small gluten free with rather dry crust...
Gone here for years - both locations. They have an awesome gluten free bread and a cookie that I always have to get.
Their sandwiches are outstanding, also a great place to go for breakfast.
This is my go to place for Indian food takeout! Great portions, affordable, and celiac friendly! I like how the interior is no frills, perhaps this is the reason why they can afford to provide nice portions. I'd take delicious food, food portions, over eating environment anytime! The staff at the restaurant also remediated a situation where I ordered 5 dishes to go and 1 of them was incorrect. I've tried numerous Indian restaurants in kelowna and West Kelowna and I'd say my favourites would be made in India and Everest in West Kelowna. If you are looking for a dining spot with ambiance then this is not the spot for you.
Went for lunch today, got a gluten free pita with chicken. The ladies working behind the counter were absolute dolls, excellent customer service and the pita itself was delicious. A great spot for lunch, quick and healthy.
The food was average and overpriced. The mozzarella balls were pretty good but the tomato sauce they came with could have been made with more spices, tasted like it was basically just tomatoes. It also tasted like it was made out of canned crushed tomatoes. The pizza’s took a long time to come out even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. I got the arugula prosciutto pizza and it was fine, a little dry just having an olive oil sauce. I did the combo and the Caesar salad was strangely oily. The gluten free pizza crusts weren’t very good, which was disappointing since you have to pay extra to substitute and there’s so many good gluten free alternatives out there now. My boyfriend’s pizza crust was undercooked and when they put it back in the oven they brought it back to him burnt. The reason I’m giving two stars instead of three for the average food is because they didn’t compensate or discount my boyfriend’s pizza at all despite it being undercooked and then burnt. Our server was very lovely though and if our review was based off of her service alone it’d be 5 stars :)
