What a delightful surprise to find an incredible vegan meal in the mountains of Alberta. My dining partner said this was the best meall they’ve ever eaten out, and I can see why. Having so many vegan and gluten-free options. That were a part of the menu, not an afterthought was delightful! The way all restaurants should be. We shared the falafel appetizer which got eaten so quickly. I didn’t get a picture. 😅 The two main dishes we had, shown in photos, we are both incredible, especially the gratine dish. Fantastic, homemade vegan cheese. The decaf coffee was great with an almond milk option. And the gluten-free, vegan tart for dessert was to die for. The staff was knowledgeable about ingredients in their dishes, and unlike some fancy restaurants, we’re quite happy to remove or add ingredients to meet dietary needs. What a beautiful dining experience. We ate outside in the patio near the street, and it was relatively quiet and a great way to enjoy the town.
Tiny little portions. I expected more food for the price.
Even though many items in the menu are marked as gluten free, the moment you say you are celiac, they tell you to avoid the majority of these items which leaves you with few options. If it's not gluten free, don't mark it as such.
Good range of items that could be made gluten free.
I had the JBC burger with GF bun. It took a long time to arrive and I was told it was because the GF fryer took longer than the normal one.
The meal was really tasty but unfortunately was only just warm. I ate it because it already waited nearly half an hour for it.
Food was great, service was fast and the waitress was so friendly and gave us few advices on what we should do. Their pizza is soon good and they have gluten free options
