I called ahead and did a pick-up order. My burger and fries were delicious! I chose a turkey patty and GF bun. Best gluten-free bun I have ever had! The staff was friendly when I entered for pick up. Once they found out I was GF, they pointed out other options for me. I really appreciated that, and I will be back to try them.
My favorite restaurant in Roanoke. Lots of options are naturally vegan, gluten free or both! They are all over-the-top delicious. You get to choose how spicy you want it, so if you have people in your party that don’t like spicy-hot, no problem. If you like it to blister your mouth with spice, that’s not a problem either.
I enjoyed the Derail with a gluten-free wrap and Asian slaw, and it was truly delicious. exceptional service, as usual. I deeply appreciate having a reliable and safe restaurant to visit in Roanoke.
Food and service is always fantastic! They accommodate my needs to be gluten-free with ease! This is my new go-to for takeout. Will definitely be back again and again… just wish I could tip them - they don’t have any way to tip employees, whether digital or cash.
Recently became gluten intolerant and was sad that I couldn’t have their chicken anymore, but their grilled chicken is actually pretty good! And I’m addicted to their fries.
Gluten free, sweet potatoe crust, was great - five stars on that. Cool vibe in the place. Risotto could use a little improvement and a little too much on Alfredo sauce. Overall we really liked it, and will definitely come back.
Excellent cafe serving yummy gluten free bread with their sandwiches. Wish we lived nearby and could try more of their menu. We tried "Doug's Chicken Salad" which was ok.
The service was pretty good, and the decor was cute. I would try it again if I ever come back through.
We went to Bloom to celebrate my birthday. When I checked in, the first thing they said to me was Happy Birthday. The food was amazing. I have a gluten issue and when the waitress approached us, that was the first question for me. One of the items that we had ordered had couscous. The waitress came back to see if a substitution was acceptable.
I had a minor swallowing issue (not due to the food - but due to a current condition). The staff made sure that I was okay, giving me time to digest, checking on me.
The entire staff had a team environment where they supported each other. They truly made it a special night!
Long wait but the food was good and gluten free and dairy free like I needed it. It was nice to know that I still could order food and have it made to order the right way even if it took 45 mins, so call ahead like I did or you could be waiting even longer.
This was a first for us, but it won't be the last! We made reservations for our anniversary and they did not disappoint. I have celiac so their dedication to help me know what we ate was safe was really great. I had the Salmon and they subbed the chips with the crab dip(shared fryer) with veggies. The creme brulee was perfect and the best ending to our meal! We will be back!
We love this little Indian restaurant. Staff was friendly, and was able to accommodate us with my husband being diary and gluten free. Prices were reasonable and food was yummy.
I appreciate most of the food items being gluten free. And the young man was really nice about changing his gloves when I asked. But didn't know or didn't follow protocol when handling allergy requests. I have to say this Chipotle was so much nicer then the one at Tanglewood. Tanglewood starts closing up as early as 2 hours before they close.
Our server, Julie, was amazing and attentive to our needs. There is a great selection of sauces and items on the menu that were identified as gluten friendly for my food allergy. The food was delicious overall, though the chicken was slightly dry and overcooked.
Nice, quiet, slightly hidden restaurant. Great hostess, great servers. Amazing food. And they didn't burn the crust on the gluten free pizza, which is amazing.
Food was excellent. We had crab legs and it was a treat. Our waiter, Kevin, was full of smiles and reassurance that my meal was safe for a Celiac, gluten-free. My only complaint is the bathroom wasn't as clean as I like.
I ordered delivery and the Ratatouille pizza was delish. Had I not gotten so sick, the pizza would have been 5 stars.
I requested the gluten free crust and added a note that I'm Celiac to be safe but started getting (very) sick within a half hour of eating it. This isn't a contamination sick, this is "I consumed something with gluten" sick.
They've had good reviews for their gluten free pizza so maybe the issue is ordering online instead of having a server relay the message. Regardless, and despite the delicious taste, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you're Celiac or gluten-sensitive.
We tried this place out last week. We both have gluten allergies (celiac for me, intolerance for him) so I was drawn in by the chance to eat happily without cross contamination. The meats were great options and I think I ate my weight in shrimp! There were only a few seasonings or sauces that were gluten free so I found myself using a ton of pineapple to season the meats and add a little extra flavor. The server was AWESOME to help us figure out what we really liked And brought us a listing of all ingredients to keep us safe.
Lack of GF choices aside, my teen loved having 2 hours to eat everything he could! It seems like a steep cost at first, but I couldn't fill him with $30 worth of fast food or pizza so I was really pleased with that aspect. Overall, we might go back. Regular eaters will love the options, but the lack of (non-spicy) GF options may keep me from going back. (There's a sign preventing outside food/drink on the grills for health reasons)
Many gluten free options available. Food was phenomenal; defintiely try the olives and duck raguv😍 They also had a great selection of wine and cocktails; it's the first restaurant I have been to that served orange style wines (pictured). Service was amazing, the staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about wine. We cannot wait to go back.
Being new to Roanoke, I'm still finding my way around restaurants and I tried yours last night with a friend for a celebration. Being a chef /food stylist, I'm very picky and I have celiac's and there were so many options of gluten-free . I was blown out of the water by your food , fabulous service, you're kind hostess And wonderful cocktails that were creative and delicious. I highly recommend sidecar and I'll be back again and again.
I have celiac disease. I must be gluten-free. They kept me safe, and the food was great. The service was good. I'm excited to find some where to eat that seems to care about my safety.
A great new option downtown for a fresh pok-e bowl with tons of options to have it your way.

I have celiacs and they have gluten-free options . they have the most beautiful unique amazing cakes you've ever seen for any occasion. You must Check out this local gem and support them because , you'll be glad you did !
The best pizza and wings in town.
Dont sleep on those wings, the honey garlic was out of this world good. Also they are gluten free!! They also have a gluten free crust option for their pizzas. I strongly recommend adding the balsamic glazed onions to your pizza -it added some excellent and elevated flavors. Plus service is top-notch! It's very good and gets busy quickly so be sure to plan in advance.
Great, modern, farm to table restaurant in Roanoke. We both had the jar of pickles to start which I devoured (all for a healthy microbiome). For mains, I had the trout which was crispy, and moist, sides were well cooked and flavorful. The reason for a 4 is my husband thought the hanger steak is a low cost cut of meat and was $$ here, he thought it tasted ok, but not as good as his previous nights prime rib. For dessert I had the chocolate panna cotta with cherries and it was one of my favorite desserts I have ever had!! So rich and fudgy, not a wobble in sight 😜
The server was incredibly knowledgeable and was very nice to put up with my several questions about gluten free and ensuring the trout was a fillet with no bones.
From an atmosphere perspective, the restaurant looked lovely. We opted to sit outside and talked to a lovely lady who owned a local Inn. It was a wee bit chilly but very much enjoyed the peacefulness 💗
Would definitely recommend
Delightful Asian cuisine and friendly staff; not only did they understand Gluten free (this is very much lost on some restaurants) but they also made both meals GF for us and the food was fantastic!
I was impressed by the number of Gluten-free options called out in the menu.
Solid place.
Personally I thought the pulled pork was a bit salty.
The woman who brought our food out was really pleasant and helpful.
Wide selection for a smaller BBQ place.
