My favorite restaurant in Roanoke. Lots of options are naturally vegan, gluten free or both! They are all over-the-top delicious. You get to choose how spicy you want it, so if you have people in your party that don’t like spicy-hot, no problem. If you like it to blister your mouth with spice, that’s not a problem either.
The food and service were great! We appreciated the gluten friendly options and the care of the staff to help us figure out what was safe for my husband to eat. We loved the wings!
This place is great!
They have a couple of gluten-free pastry options, some delicious breakfast and lunch items, and a bunch of fun drink options. Drinks include coffee, lattes and smoothies; check out the menu pics for details.
Atmosphere is chill, well lit and has nice natural light coming in the big front windows.
Service was exceptional, friendly, helpful and quick.
We're in town visiting friends and we'll definitely be back to One Love.
8/23 Updating because Cheddars has very few allergy friendly options (gluten free, dairy free). I found one meat item I can eat. The food is great and I used to love everything I ordered. It's a down-home eatery, and lots of dairy and butter are used. Wish I could eat it, but now I can not. I hate this food allergy plague☹️
Original: It is one of the best reasonably priced restaurants around.
Excellent cafe serving yummy gluten free bread with their sandwiches. Wish we lived nearby and could try more of their menu. We tried "Doug's Chicken Salad" which was ok.
The service was pretty good, and the decor was cute. I would try it again if I ever come back through.
Edit: Sadly, we've found the quality to have gone downhill while the price has gone up, at least in regards to their pizza. We do not order from here anymore, which leaves me pretty bummed.
Hands down some of the best wood fired pizza I've had, and while I'm not in the need to eat it as my husband is, the gluten-free crust is delicious!
Our server, Julie, was amazing and attentive to our needs. There is a great selection of sauces and items on the menu that were identified as gluten friendly for my food allergy. The food was delicious overall, though the chicken was slightly dry and overcooked.
Great little restaurant in a fun district in Downtown Roanoke. We were there for a soccer tournament and they accommodated us on a Saturday night. Forty of us dined. My girls loved the gluten free pizza. The blackened meatloaf was a surprise and tasty. Wife did not care for the turkey burger. Lots of great craft beers on tap, and if you need more, a brewery is at the end of the building!
The best pizza and wings in town.
Dont sleep on those wings, the honey garlic was out of this world good. Also they are gluten free!! They also have a gluten free crust option for their pizzas. I strongly recommend adding the balsamic glazed onions to your pizza -it added some excellent and elevated flavors. Plus service is top-notch! It's very good and gets busy quickly so be sure to plan in advance.
A very good gluten free option in the area. And authentic Hondurean food. Both times I’ve been I have been pleased with the quality of the food and the great service.
Specifically asked if they could accommodate food allergies and was told that yes they could and they even have gluten-free waffles. Within 15 minutes of eating reactions started - definitely was not as mindful and cautious to prevent cross-contamination as they "faked awareness and ability" lead us to believe.
Stick with known safe places even when the other places advertise safe food.
Gluten free, sweet potatoe crust, was great - five stars on that. Cool vibe in the place. Risotto could use a little improvement and a little too much on Alfredo sauce. Overall we really liked it, and will definitely come back.
Had an excellent experience at Local Roots. Food was perfectly prepared & careful attention was given to my food allergies. It's hard to feel safe eating out with celiac & a citrus & citric acid allergy but the chef & wait staff was awesome. My friend & I were both pleased with our meals!
I’ve had celiac disease for 14 years and not once in that 14 years have I found gluten free desserts that were as delicious as Evie’s Bakery. I almost cried eating the pastry it was so good and knowing it wouldn’t hurt me to have. Thank you so much for starting your business. I recommend anyone with a strict gluten allergy or disease check this place out!
