A pretty delicious meal. Came here as a group and had both vegetarian and gluten-free diners with us. We could get something we each desired here, and our server was fantastic. She handled all of our needs and then some. We were there early evening, and there were a few tables filled, but when we left, most tables were filled. We shared several appetizers, the skillet cornbread was delish, and the habanero butter added a nice kick. Both the avocado tartare and fried cauliflower were great, and the deviled crab egg looked good. I tried the Peruvian soup for my meal, and it came in a giant bowl filled with meat, potatoes, cheese, and a fried egg. I ate about half and brought the rest home. All of the others had great food and looked terrific. We were all too full for dessert, though the dessert menu had some delicious things. Looking forward to coming here again in the future, and I highly recommend that you give this place a try.

I happened across this place on Google maps while I was looking for somewhere to have dinner for my birthday. It ended up being AMAZING! I can't say enough good things about the food, the service, the atmosphere. I loved our waiter, and everyone we interacted with was infallibly courteous and pleasant. And the food was incredible. We had the chef's choice menu. They were very flexible in providing gluten-free options, which is remarkable given that it's a prix-fixe menu. I'm pretty hard to please with food, but I ate everything they put in front of us and would have eaten more. Even the cocktail (the cucumber basil smash) was probably the best one I've ever had. Well done Nina May!

We enjoyed a great dinner at Joe's. We were able to get a last-minute reservation while in town for one night. The food was excellent, but the service was top-notch, and I would give our server, Jeffery, 10 stars if I could. First, they were extremely accommodating with my extensive food allergies. My son and husband have no food allergies, so they got to enjoy a lot more than me. I opted for the grilled seafood platter that came with scallops, lobster, and shrimp and for a side sautted mushrooms. Everything was made gluten-free, also dairy, soy, peanut, and treenut free. It was hearty and delicious and I don't often enjoy a meal so much, especiallyseafood. It's hard to find places that can accommodating me. My son got filet with crab Oscar and my husband a ribeye with bearnaise. They shared a mashed potatoe and a lobster mac. Jeffery was attentive and funny, and we enjoyed his stories. It made the experience even better. We are looking forward to eating there again next time we are in town.

Had a great time here! I have celiac disease which can be very stressful when traveling. This place was suggested to me as they have protocols to avoid cross contamination. After placing my order a manager came over and said my waiter had let her know that I have an allergy/sensitivity and that they take it ver seriously. She said they work hard to ensure there is no cross contamination and that my food would come out with a red flag to confirm it is gluten free. This made me feel very comfortable as I didn’t even ask to talk to anyone they just did it! I had gluten free rigatoni alla vodka which was good. I was so happy with the service that I came back today for breakfast and had some of the best home fries I’ve ever had! Highly recommend this place, food, staff, and atmosphere are all great.

If you are on a gluten free diet, this restaurant is a real treat. This is the ONLY restaurant I know of in the entire DC area that offers gluten free French toast!!! It is really yummy. It is gluten free cinnamon raison bread that they make into French toast. It is served with maple syrup that has few slices of bananas in it. It is always served warm. (Be sure to look for the bananas. If the French toast is served with sliced strawberries, that is the wheat based French toast.) This restaurant also has gluten free bread so most of their sandwiches can be made gluten free upon request. And they can make their eggs benedict gluten free by using their gluten free toast. It is a very pleasant experience dining here. I usually dine outside. They are located on a small street in Georgetown. Georgetown can be crowded but on this small street, it is never very busy. On a nice weather day, it is a pleasant experience to eat the gluten free French toast while enjoying the weather. The service is always good too. I enthusiastically recommend this restaurant.

**Satisfying Experience at The Capital Burger 🍔🍟** Dining at The Capital Burger was an absolutely delightful experience that I am eager to recount. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was warm and inviting, perfectly setting the stage for a wonderful meal. 🌟 Our party indulged in a variety of selections from their tempting menu, beginning with the delectable bacon cheeseburgers. Each burger was crafted with precision, featuring juicy patties complemented by the rich, smoky flavor of bacon and perfectly melted cheese. The Capital Burger, a signature dish, did not disappoint either; it stood out with its harmonious blend of flavors and tender texture. 🍔 For those in our group with dietary preferences, the bacon cheeseburger with a gluten-free bun was a notable highlight. The bun held up beautifully, maintaining the integrity and taste of the classic burger experience. It’s heartening to see such considerate options available, ensuring everyone has a satisfying meal. For our little one, the children’s grilled cheese meal was a hit. Simple yet delicious, it was a comforting choice that appealed to their taste perfectly. 🧀 What truly enhanced our dining adventure was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive and kind, ensuring our experience was seamless and enjoyable from start to finish. 🙌 In conclusion, The Capital Burger offers not just fantastic food but an overall exceptional dining experience. It’s a place I look forward to visiting again soon, and I highly recommend it to others seeking both taste and quality. 🍽️

I would usually rate this restaurant higher. I have been to a different location before and had good service as well as they have gluten free options. This time after moving apartments I did a pick up order. I was excited for the lamb burger with the gluten free bread. My boyfriend got a burger and roommate got a Cuban panini. I would say the food was okay a 3.5 but my issue is how my boyfriend was treated when getting into the restaurant. I sent my boyfriend in because I was driving. Told him to pick up the order with my name on it. He texts me asking for confirmation. That’s okay because a guy is picking up a girls order. He comes to the car and says the guy “looked him up and down and told he needs to show proof”. I understand the asking for proof but it’s the tone. It’s the way you ask for things, the attitude you have. My boyfriend is North African/Arabic and it’s GIVING RACIAL PROFILING. So imagine being emotionally exhausted from moving in the DC humidity and heat and then someone makes you feel like that at the end of your day. All to have a sub par burger.

The food is quite good. I really enjoy the oysters Rockefeller as it is one of the first I have seen that is gluten free and tastes good. Typically I order the steak frites which is always good. The other times when I have ordered things such as the chicken sandwich and schnitzel, I have not always been pleased. I believe the chicken sandwich is juicy, but a tad bland. For the schnitzel, it is definitely not traditional. I saw the idea of what was being put out, but it did not fully resonate with my palate. Nonetheless, I hope to be back soon for a couple drinks and oysters.

Went to Silver for the first time. Dined at Sliver Diner many many times. Went for my kids bday lunch with Mom, sister and grandma. Went around 3pm after lunch and before dinner so it was pretty empty. Ordered lots of food, apps , entrees, gluten free stuff for my kid and ultimately subdaes. Service was great, The young but experienced waitress memorized our order without writing down like 15 + items and said she won't forget anything and she was right! The food was good and fancied up a bit from Sliver Diner. Burgers were good but seemed much smaller than the Diners version. Same with Sundaes which I was expecting large glass filled with ice cream, hot fudge and whip cream but for a smaller bowl with a brownie with ice cream on top. It was good, no complaints but you can downsize the food a bit but not the dessert ! The chimichurra chicken wings are unique and really good! They took care of us well , even grandma enjoyed the food which is unusual. Lastly they brought out a candle for my kid without having to ask. We will be back , without the kids next time !

Such wonderful people. I’m a newly-diagnosed celiac and it’s been hard. I ordered from Ted’s Bulletin on UberEats and the restaurant actually called me to let me know that one of the items wasn’t gluten-free. Then they went above and beyond to find me a safe substitute. The food was really good too!

This place is a MUST TRY. The quality of the food was high, and especially for a price that is hard to come by without skipping on quality. The dishes here are very unique, and healthy. I am gluten-free due to Celiac's, and this place has possibly the BEST flourless brownie I have tried (and I am very picky about brownies, given they are my favorite dessert). My girlfriend and I ate here last week, each getting an entree and drink, and we shared the brownie, all for a low price of $35 after tipping. Unfortunately, parking is difficult to come by and it's located on a fairly busy intersection, making outdoor dining a little noisy & distracting. Even with that said, I am returning to this restaurant tonight!

I've been wanting to try this place for over a year and it was worth the wait. Initially I found it when looking for gluten free friendly restaurants and it had great reviews. A lot of their dishes can be made gluten free including some pastas. This place was *cozy* but modern. Great atmosphere especially if you go during a quiet time. We went at 830 which was perfect cuz the rush was over and we got a great table. Service was great, very attentive and great recommendations. I even asked for a recommendation on champagne/prosecco and they ended up bringing me a sample of something not even on the menu yet which was exactly the taste I wanted. We both got steak, the NY strip and filet. We both agreed that these were the best steaks we've had in a very long time. My partner got the strip med-rare and it was *actually* medium rare. We got the fried pork belly app and Brussel sprouts app. I don't even like Brussel sprouts... like low key hate them but these were GOOD. I could see this place being a place that's not great when super busy. It's not a big restaurant and some of the tables were pretty tight. So I definitely recommend a reservation and going during a less busy time if possible. Will definitely be coming back

The food here is amazing! The ambiance is a little less than ideal but it’s a small and busy space, so it works! Maybe some ambiance music would elevate the experience? Other than that, this place is the absolute best spot for gluten free and vegan items! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, especially the seasonal shakes are a must!

Everything we ate was amazing. My husband and I ate the vegan 5 course taster. They were able to accommodate my gluten free needs with ease and we enjoyed 4 hrs of pampering eating outside with exceptional service from waiter Georgi. Chef/owner Todd came and checked on us at the beginning and end of our experience which made it all the more memorable for our family of four. Only remembered to take a few photos and some half way through eating, but every work of art was plated beautifully.

Traveled to DC for a weekend restaurant tours. My wife and I were initially very excited about trying this Michelin star restaurant; however that was short lived. Reservations were made a month in advance and confirmed a week prior. We were guaranteed a nice table in the dining room. My wife is extremely gluten intolerant and asked numerous questions regarding this prior to confirming our reservation. The manager on the phone stated not a problem and our menu would be marked gf and ensured no cross contamination. When we arrived we were seated at the bar (first red flag). Our waiter was a bartender who only came to our table twice- once with a cocktail second to take our order. When placing our order the waiter/bartender clearly has no idea what was gluten free and ignored us when we requested assistance with the menu. We made the best guess as we could and went from there. We asked to keep a menu to order a variety of dishes to share in which the waiter proceeded to take our menus anyway. That was the last time we saw him. Other staff brought food to our table. We attempted to get someone’s attention numerous time for wine service with no avail. The food was good but had to request another staff for a desert that again no questions were answered. Summary food was good but not at the level of a Michelin star- service was extremely sub par after we even tried to get a server’s attention. I guess good news is we had anticipated spending twice what we did; however with no service that didn’t occur.

What a picturesque place to dine. Be sure to use the side entrance of the building as I always see people checking each door to see if it’s the entrance(I too was that person the first time). The waiter did a great job tending to our needs. I value Jose Andres’s project mission and hope some of our bill contributed to it. The food was phenomenal and overall quite the experience. The only thing I had wished for was for more food options when it came to dietary restrictions. It seems restaurants do a great job with vegetarian options and gluten free options but not so much both combined. Overall the food was great though.

They only have 1 deep fryer so any thing that is deep fryer will not be gluten free (fries included). I got the burger bowl, normally I avoid restaurants that don't have gluten free buns but this burger salad was actually good. Great experience!

First time I went with my family they tried to pass off a gluten reduced beer as gluten free. They gave us quite an argument when we sent it back. The service and food was good. The second time we went back my daughter ordered from the gluten free menu a salad and after waiting an hour for our meal they brought her a salad with a slice of bread in it. She specifically said she didn't want the ficcaccio. Our drinks didn't come in a timely fashion and the food order didn't even come for my grandson at all. My food and my granddaughters food took 50 minutes to get to the table. The couple besides us ordered the same time as us and received their food and drinks and paid their check and left before my granddaughter and i got our food. When we complained to the manager for the second time, he offered to comp our meal but that was of no help as we had run out of time at that point and had to leave to catch our train. So what I had hoped to be a pleasant meal to end our trip resulted in a mad dash for the train and the twins eating Mc Donald's.
