Finding a place that does a good gluten-free breakfast beyond standard bacon and eggs can be a challenge.
Hash Breakfast Eatery met that challenge with a large gluten-free menu that included their bowls and bennys.
The service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant was clean, as was the washroom.
This place is definitely worth the try if you have gluten allergies.

Food was great, they had gluten free fries and the best gluten free bun ive ever had in my life. Been celiac for over a decade and yeah, this was it. Highly recommend!
Do not eat here if you are Celiac:: Cross contamination ; very sick shortly after consuming omelette shredded hashbrowns and tomato’s: plus; watched waitress wipe table then seat then back to table🤢: Gross : Will not eat here again
Delicious food, great atmosphere, very attentive service even when it was busy. Kid friendly and gluten friendly options.
Everything we had was super tasty with unique dishes. Yam fries were done to perfection. The brownie was a great size to share and very decadent. Many different options for drinks and the prices were pretty good. The Social Lager is cheap and doesn't taste cheap.
Definitely going back again and again.
Had a great time in their lounge. The food was served quickly and it was actually really delicious, exceeding my expectations. Would recommend the gluten free chocolate cake 👌🏼
Bryan was my server and he was really friendly and made the experience really great.
We come to Famoso in red deer every time we come through. Food is excellent. Staff is friendly. So good. I have celiac and eat at Famoso as one of my top choices because I have never gotten glutened there.
Incredible pizza. Gluten free option impressed the wife. Lots of toppings, but they put toppings under cheese. I don't care, wife prefers otherwise. Definitely try out the Donair bites!
Let's start off by stating that my fiance is celiac; extremely allergic to gluten. Five Guys, not just this location, has always been phenomenal in catering to GF orders. They obviously take pride and great care in preparing excellent quality meals for anyone who comes in. We have been to many restaurants and fast food joints that claim to be able to make gluten free food and oftentimes we leave with my fiance in great pain because of cross contamination. Not so here. We've been to this Five Guys a few times now and have never had an issue with the food. It's always delicious, hot, and ready promptly. The peanuts are an added bonus!
Forno is a beautiful place to eat in Red Deer. The food is great and the service is friendly and knowledgeable. My dad is not very mobile and tries to eat gluten free. The server we had was very good at dealing with him and helping with suggestions for food etc
Wow. One of the best dining experiences I've had in awhile. Our waitress was amazing. I really wish I'd gotten her name to leave in this review. The restaurant was extremely clean and such a good atmosphere.
I got the vegetable fajitas and they were amazing. The guacamole is the best I've ever had. They were also able to accommodate me being celiac!
I highly recommend this place. Wow, just wow. Everything was just so good.
Such a comforting place downtown! Staff are always friendly and make great recommendations, the lunch specials are always new, delicious and different! (They also have gluten aware breads and baking) Everything is made with love. The type of place that adds soul and character to the city. Love walking here for lunch and enjoying the energy of everyone around.
They are also very kind to the houseless folks that come for coffee which I really love to see! Great job to city roast!
Enjoyed a large group meal at One Eleven and had an awesome stir fry. I have to eat gluten free due to celiac disease and they have always been careful and knowledgeable about gluten concerns.
I ordered 6 chocolate confetti cupcakes for my birthday as my husband and I are currently trying a restricted diet for IBS, no dairy, no gluten! I thought my birthday would be filled with tasteless, hard gluten/dairy free cake :( but luckily I found in the mix cupcakes! They were SO delightful and tasted just like real cupcakes! I highly recommend! All my friends were inpressed they were gluten/dairy free because they tasted so good!
We have been eating here for 10 years, and we can't wait to return. Food is fresh, service is prompt, owner is friendly and ready to give top customer service. My son needs a gluten-free menu, and always chooses Rue On first.
Best peanut sauce any where!
As someone with dairy and gluten sensitivities, its hard to eat out anywhere. The menu clearly labels gluten items but not dairy, so i had to talk to our server about it. She verified anything that she couldnt answer, and i managed to get a meal that was delicious and safe.
Food was fast, hot, and delicious, and staff was friendly.
On a rainy day such as today I was hoping for a big comfort bowl of pasta however no gluten free noodles. Most other restaurants have this very basic substitution and most sauces made with flour can be made with corn starch. Just a suggestion!! Had the steak today instead and was amazing nonetheless. Friendly staff and didn’t wait long for lunch!! Still a win! Sad day to be a celiac pasta lover..
If heaven had a coffee shop, it would look a lot like Sweet Capone’s! I came for the coffee, but I stayed for the atmosphere – and maybe the cannoli. This place has *everything* you need for a perfect café experience: delicious coffee, gluten-free goodies (yes, they actually taste good!), and an ambiance that makes you feel like you’re part of some secret coffee mafia – but, you know, in the most delightful way.
The décor is an absolute knockout; it’s like the Godfather and your favorite cozy café had a stylish baby. The staff? Friendly enough to make you think they’ve been bribed by customer service legends! And did I mention the gluten-free options? It’s like Sweet Capone’s is on a mission to make sure everyone, even gluten-free folks like me, gets their delicious fix.
So, whether you’re a coffee connoisseur, a gluten-free goodie hunter, or just looking for a place with *vibes*, Sweet Capone’s has you covered. Five stars and a cannoli twist! 🌟🍰☕️
Really good sandwiches. Friendly service. They have a ton of options and make really decent gluten free bread. The prices are a little high, but they are some of the best sandwiches around.
Guac Mexi Grill in Red Deer, Alberta is an excellent place to enjoy Mexican cuisine with friendly customer service and a newly constructed, clean environment! I am a celiac and so I require the gluten free wraps they use for tacos, quesadillas, and burritos. I am so grateful they offer gluten free options for Mexican food as there are not a lot of places that do! The employee that is usually working there understands the importance of not mixing up the flour and gluten free wraps. They also offer dessert and drinks to combine with your meals. There isn't a line usually and the employees are quite fast. Great place! Thank you for your awesome service!
Had an absolutely fantastic meal and experience.
One of our party is gluten free, and the staff at this restaurant goes out of their way to ensure that their food is safe! The gluten free tempura is delicious and if you didn't know it was gluten free, you wouldn't know. They also have gluten free soy sauce available.
All in all, a delicious and delightful evening!
Kind of upset that I ordered sushi with tobiko and then there was no tobiko. I would have ordered different rolls if the tobiko wasn’t gluten free. I feel a little ripped off as I was paying for tobiko and there was none. It was kind of pricey for what I got as well. I called them back and told them there was no tobiko and then they tell me it’s not gf. I literally told her I’ll have whatever as long as there is tobiko on it. I probably wouldn’t have ordered tonight if there wasn’t tobiko. Good to know they don’t have gluten free tobiko here
Have always had a good time here but as a new recently diagnosed celiac I was a little disappointed at the few options on the menu. Let alone a gluten free menu. When I asked the server if I could get a small salad instead of the table bread the server said "no", without even clearing it from a manager. Instead said I could purchase the "classic" and get it for $10 more. I understand that this is my issue I need to live with but do also feel that if a business is offering something to non-diet regular customers, then a simple accommodation can be made for people who have certain dietary restrictions.
This is the second time I have ordered from them ( Gluten free Yangzhou fried rice box) and it is amazing. The portions are huge and it is very flavorful.
The place is not eager to give options for those with sensitivities. Mashed have Gluten here
No one else do
All you can have is boring sides. Why not a baked Potatoe, appetizers that fill you that don't have Gluten. It's been a couple years since we were here.
One of the best Korean fried chickens I’ve ever had and I’ve had plenty in BC and even Korea! Juicy and tender - I opted for the gluten free fried chicken and still amazing! My new go to spot for chicken dinner!
I’ve never been so impressed with the precaution taken to make sure my food could be as celiac safe as possible! They swapped gloves twice while making my meal and checked with me to see if I was okay with using a shared deep fryer. I was not so didn’t get to try the potato’s unfortunately. But 10/10 it did not gluten me after eating!
Since i have celiac disease, i ordered the gluten-free brown. However, they gave me the gluten one instead. So, needless to say, i was so sick for the last couple of days. I told the waiter and was ignored. I will NOT come back there again.
My server Sandeep is very attentive and remembered that I have Celiac Disease. I appreciate the care they take for cross contamination. We come here regularly.
I don’t care what people say here, But im here almost everyday for chicken souvlaki rice bowl my favorite one 😍 i wish i could eat the pita chips but im gluten allergic.. I brought my co workers here too 😘 place is so neat and clean and the staff are so friendly..
Some of their tacos can be made gluten free. I really like their beef tacos!
I tried the GF beef burritos and I could only eat half of it, I didn’t realize that there is rice in them (even though it DOES say there is on the menu). Whoops. My bad.
If you like rice than I recommend the burritos, if not, then the tacos.
It used to be my favorite but the frequency of my visits have rapidly decreased over the past 6-12 months.
It's been taking 10-20 minutes after being seated just to get to order a drink. Another 5-10 minutes pass as we wait for drinks even if they are just water. Solution, at least have the hostess bring water for everybody.
The gluten free buns are crap. They used to be good. There are also less gluten free options. Solution, if you're going to limit the previous gluten free options at least purchase good gluten free buns.
They take too long to show up with the bill. Waiting to be able to pay so you can continue your day is disappointing. Solution, don't have the majority of the staff cleaning up the buffet while people are waiting for drinks, food and to pay.
I used to want to go here once a week and now it's past the middle of March and I've only been once this year. Please improve the gluten free options and the service. It's friendly, it's just remarkably slow. Slow enough to ruin the experience.
Went to pizza 73 downtown red deer. I have a gluten allergy and they really respected that. They followed procedures and washed they're hands. Billy at the front counter was so nice and kind. Billy honestly made my day. Such a nice person and gave me a gluten free brownie which honestly makes my week since my birthday was yesterday. :) should make employee of the month.
I worked here for at least a year. The pizza is good. The amount of toppings is generous, although the meat contains a lot of filler which is why only the vegetarian pizzas here can be gluten free. The prices are good and it's well worth it to pick up of you live close or don't mind driving. There is no delivery charge but the drivers will prioritize you based on your history of giving good or bad tips. The concept of two for one was one of the most difficult things for me to explain to customers. That is because it is a mathematical fallacy. If the price of two pizzas is one pizza, then why is one pizza sold for half the price of two pizzas? Still, I recommend this place. The specialty pizzas are very good and worth the extra money (compared to say, pepperoni or Hawaiian).
