Fast pies with the advabilty of gluten free crust. A very good menu with many combos and sandwiches. Parking is nearby and 2 cash registers to keep the orders moving. GAINES street pies is a 5 star pizza place.
I love this place, the customer service is amazing, the food, the bowls and the ice cream are the best ever! For people like me with restrictions on gluten or dairy is perfect option.
Stopped by here on a whim while driving through Tallahassee and looking for some healthy eats! Scrumptious vegetarian and gluten free meals! I imagine it’s a local favorite and will look forward to dining again when in town! Thank you for a warm welcome!!
The staff is always very friendly, but I do feel like they skimp on the cheese a little bit. Appreciative that they take the allergy protocols very seriously, and they have gluten free and vegan options for my allergy kiddo.
My friend recommended this place after an afternoon of being outside, suffering in the heat, and I enjoyed it. I had a lavender lemonade and a toasted ham and cheese croissant and didn't spend more than $10. Their lavender lemonade could rival First Watch's, but they have a plethora of other flavors you could choose from as well. Their menu has something for everyone, including some vegan or gluten free options. Although parking can be rough to find on a busy day, it's in a great location right within Lake Ella so a perfect place to sit down, grab a light bite or something to sip on, and look out at the lake. They have more outside seating than inside, but most of it is shaded anyways. There are a few tables and hangout couches inside which are of course first come first serve and the ambience is chill inside as well. The whole vibe is cohesive and the staff are nice and patient if you have any questions or need help deciding. Definitely would recommend!
the food is so delicious and unique. i'm vegan and gluten-free and it's so nice to eat somewhere with lots of options that fit my dietary restrictions. the atmosphere is really cool and they have a show or other event most nights. highly recommend!!
Great spot for quick & healthy options! Gluten free friendly, the manager Todd was extremely helpful with this! Love the cold tea options and variety of toppings to choose from. Perfect place for a quick stop for a nourishing/fast meal!
I'm a little late in trying Jason's Deli...and it was really good! Many varieties of sandwiches, soups, and a lovely salad bar...and of course there's free ice cream! They have gluten-free bread and other GF options, which is a double win for me!
Ordered the gluten free pizza with the meat. It was a really good pizza. Glad we ordered. Ordered the pizza online and it was ready to go when we got there. Nice friendly staff. Not an issue but when leaving go the backroads as it may be hard to get out on the main road. Once again not an issue but an FYI.
Lemon and Thyme is my favorite restaurant I’ve ever been to. The service is fast and the workers build your bowl perfectly. I love that they have a gluten free dessert option! I always feel happy after eating this lunch. My best friend and I immediately bonded after sharing the experience of eating lemon and thyme together in my car. We devoured and drank all our sweet teas and the feeling I had in that moment was that most incredible thing. We both had leftovers that we put in the fridge and ate later that night. I would recommend this place to anyone who asks me what the best lunch spot in Tallahassee is. Laney if you see this, let’s go to lemon and thyme.
My son and I go here because he is a celiac and needs GF. Normally they are pretty good, sometimes I've waited 15-20 minutes past the pickup time. Today, I placed an online order at 1640 for pickup at 1730. At 1845 it was still not ready with my son sitting there for over an hour waiting. They did have a large group come in but that was after our pickup time. Just people messing around and not caring. So typical these days. Scratch this one off my list.
I have only been here twice, but the food is so scrumptious. I feel it's one of those restaurants. The more you go, the more you learn and can try different combinations. They have some of the best soda on tap it's Maine Root, which is sweetend with cane sugar and non gmo. They also have some diet drinks. However, I don't remember the sweetener. Oh, and did I mention nearly every option is gluten-free!
Update to my first review 10 months ago:
Visited three times in the last two months and the service has really gone down hill. My daughter has celiac so she must eat gluten free. We happened to ask about gluten free food and the server said the chips were not gluten free. First time in a dozen visits we've heard that. And, we have asked about it. They have someone new every time we go who seems to have an attitude. Forget items in our order and the food is not consistent. Sometimes good other times not.

I have eaten here four or five times. One of my daughters is celiac and they have quite a lot of gluten free options. Last week when I was dropping my daughter at FSU we were there and the cashier got a bit nervous. She advised us of possible cross contamination. I asked them to take the usual protocols of changing gloves, clean utensils and clean work surfaces. My daughter has never gotten sick.
My fussier and harder to please older daughter and her boyfriend were seriously impressed with the food and vibe. Being from Miami we have tons of food options and they loved the overstuffed tacos, cheese dip, salsa and guac. The margaritas are a bit weak for my taste.
The tacos are almost like an Asian Fusion/Mexican cuisine. We Love It!
Will definitely be back.
Went Saturday 1/13/24 around 1245, it was BUSY. Yes we had to wait BUT they were fast and friendly even though there were some rude customers in front of us. The 1st. employee was very polite and good at her job. Let customers know she would be right with them while making what I assume were to go orders. I just want to say I was very impressed with the customer service and food. Great job ladies and gentlemen.
Very impressed with the Gluten free options. Eating gluten free is NOT an option for me. Thanks Moe's
My daughter loves this place. I've eaten here twice with her. They have a lot of gluten free menu items. The fish is fresh. Small, family owned business. We had three poke bowls. Everything was delicious. Only complaint was I ordered the wasabi/sweet dressing and I think they gave me straight wasabi as it was quite hot. Reasonably priced.
The food was delicious. I felt great after and it made me the perfect amount of full. I got the avocado Caesar sauce and it was delicious. The spicy sweet potato noodles were also amazing. I have celiac and I’m always looking for good gluten free options… this is definitely TOP!
Maddison M is the absolute BEST!! The food was great, they had the NFL playoffs on… place was great. But Maddison M. Is the best server I’ve ever had. Personable, kind and worked to find me gluten free options. Will gladly be back later.
Victor makes the best Hot Toddy's in Tallahassee! With the cold weather you need to come try some. And trust me, I have ordered them at every restaurant I have been too. Hands down, his are the best.
I love Hayward House. I am gluten free for medical reasons and I have never gotten sick here. I actually live the appetizers so much I could eat only those all night long. The P.E.I. Mussels of course, their broth is delicious. The whipped feta and they actually gave me some carrots with it one time and that was a huge win! And then they even made for me the salmon tostadas but used a sliced radish instead of the tostada and wow. The taste was perfect and the fact that the chef tried so hard to make things I could eat without getting sick made me so happy. If you ever come for brunch then the steak and eggs are perfect.
I can't wait to come back to Tallahassee just to come back here to eat.
