The food was amazing! I am gluten free, and they surprisingly had gluten free pizza! It was so delicious and good! All of my friends food was amazing and everything was a fair price, but the service wasn’t great whatsoever. It wasn’t busy, we sat down and didn’t get our drinks for about ten minutes, it took about another 10-15 minutes for our server to come back and take our order, we ordered and our food came out quickly but our server didn’t ask if we needed anything, refill our drinks or anything until we were already done. The food was great but the service wasn’t at all.
I always need Gluten free options and this place not only provides them but the food is fantastic. I love the layout with something for the kids to do and the service is always awesome
One of the best burgers around!! Also, undoubtedly the BEST gluten free bun we have found at any restaurant! Everything on the menu was very good, high quality and we will for sure be back!
I recently visited this place for the first time, and I have to say, it was an amazing experience! Ordered the deviled eggs, crispy chicken breast, and the gluten-free chocolate mousse & orange vanilla custard pie. Everything was so delicious.
The service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff. The atmosphere was also great—comfortable and inviting. I’ll definitely be back to try more! Highly recommend!
We used to LOVE Mod Pizza, my absolute favourite! Unfortunately over the past year the service has gotten terrible which has also reflected in their food. The last straw came when they mistakenly made my pizza wrong, it happens, no biggie, it wasn’t a gluten-free crust, but the ensuing interaction that followed was terrible. We took it back & let them know, & that’s where it all went sour. They insisted they had made it correctly & we had ordered it wrong, it was an app order & you could clearly see they had made it wrong. One employee started to goad my husband, laughing at him & just being a jerk. They made the pizza wrong again, so I called them as now my husband is now frustrated. The employee on the phone was the same guy, unfortunately & recognised us & just kept repeating himself that we were “wrong” & he was “right” . Eventually the “manager” came on the line, she was pleasant & apologetic, we explained what happened & you could hear the guy chipping in his 2c in the background. She told us that she was personally going to make the pizza herself, & that we shouldn’t complain to the local manager as he “wasn’t any good” & “nothing would happen” but to go above him to the regional manager to lodge a formal complaint. That she would personally make sure that they would call us the following week, of which we never heard from them. Anyway we picked up the 3rd pizza, technically it’s “correct”. However, on the box an employee had written slang on it, & after looking it up, it’s too nasty to put on here. The pizza had what looked like a can of cold pineapple dumped on it, & ultimately, the crust wasn’t gluten free as I was sick to my stomach later. Honestly, the whole experience was just awful. Never again.
Highly recommend! They were willing to use EVOO for all oil needs, accommodating my request for no seed oils and were able to serve the Osso Bocco gluten free. Cecilia, our server was extremely knowledgeable but also very eager to speak with the Chef to accommodate all my quirky needs. She was there every time we needed her without over kill. The Octopus was the best I’ve eaten anywhere. Cooked to perfection with fried potatoes in EVOO and the decadent sauce to enhance the flavor was just flawless. The Panna Cotta with the fresh berries was in my opinion one of the freshest and amazing desserts I’ve eaten in many a meal. I will return often even though I live 30 miles away. It will be a new favorite go to for us and my whole family as we all enjoy clean, fresh foods! Job well done!!!
Busy little restaurant, so it can get a bit loud. The food is excellent, and the servers are attentive. They have gluten free options which makes it a versatile place to meet for lunch.
Had a wonderful experience with the young man in the drive thru. He was very friendly and accommodating with our gluten free order! Also very speedy. Love the service and the food!
I love this little cafe! This is one of the few places open as early as 7am (which is perfect for us night-shifters who get off work at 6am) AND they have gluten free pancakes and French toast on the menu! Both times we’ve been there Tyler was our server and he is so kind and so attentive. Food is excellent, service is wonderful and prices are fair. My only complaint is the smell of the cleaning products is a little strong which is disappointing in a restaurant. But we still love to eat breakfast here!
Loved the food, service was great, atmosphere was very pleasant. Most of the menu was or could be prepared gluten free, and the gluten free toast with homemade jam was a real treat! Great coffee. Park in a parking garage. Highly recommend.
My wife is Gluten Free & there wasn’t much on the Menu that was GF since the meat is preseasoned for the day and has wheat in it. Our waitress Nohemy was AMAZING!!! Her & the chef when out of there way to find some meat that wasn’t seasoned & made my wife something special that was GF just for her.
Over all the food everyone in our group had was above average. But the service here is OUTSTANDING!
Nohemy, please tell the chef that we will be back because of the 2 of you!!!!!!
Great place, great service and food was very good! The bartenders were very helpful in letting me know what was safe to eat for Gluten free. Went there a couple times and both times was great. Will be going back for sure! I tried two different desserts and the mussels. Didn't get picture of mussels.
While in McKinney, I came across this coffee shop. I ordered the gluten free cinnamon pecan muffin and an almond milk latte. The latte tasted really good and the muffin was absolutely delicious.
I highly recommend this place!
Nice little place. Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. It was not crowded. Service was great. Food was wonderful. Hostess was helpful with asking about gluten free options. There were a lot of flies in the dining room. That was a little off putting. Overall, it was a great spot with tasty food.
I just tried Taco Ocho for the first time and it did not disappoint. The service was great. The food was great. Everything was on point. I had brisket tacos. The flavors were amazing. The house salsa was really good as well. My daughter needed gluten free options and they had a bunch. I will be coming back for sure.
This place had so many fun burgers! Can't wait to come back and try more. I just really wish they had a gluten free bun. You can do it as a lettuce wrap but that did fall apart with my burger. Staff said that fries are cooked in separate oil so those are gluten free as well!
They don't have a diaper changing station, which was frustrating. We saw two other families with babies there as well.
Can't believe we haven't been here sooner. Great food, low prices. Wonderful customer service!
Burgers and dogs are great!!!! Great for low carb or gluten free. They did bunless lettuce wraps for us!
We've dined in and taken out once since the location opened and both experiences have been great. The best part is, they have a dedicated chip fryer, so for my celiac family members, we have an excellent gluten free option nearby!
Very nice historical location in the heart of McKinney. We went for my birthday and they were great. I am gluten free and they have a seperate menu.
They even provided a special dessert.
$10.00 lunch was super with great choices! Service was super and lots of food for price. Gluten free choices were delicious! Enjoyed wine and entertainment is offered in the evening.
food was wonderful but as my first time, i asked for a calzone with no bread because i have celiac. the younger two girls laughed at me and didn't seem to care. made me really uncomfortable due their attitude towards my condition. i tried explaining myself that i can't have gluten and they just continued to laugh and said "okay..."
My first visit was yesterday. Upon walking in, I couldn’t figure out how to order food, there were no menus anywhere. I saw one case that had some drinks and some sides and then there was one case that had premade sandwiches. I noticed that people were receiving orders, names were being called to pick up your order. So I asked the girl at the order desk if there was food to order or if I had to pick a sandwich from the case and she said pick a sandwich from the case. So then I ask her if I could have a sandwich made without bread, I’m gluten-free. She told me no the lady back in the prep kitchen told me there were salads at the end and to go get a salad. There was one salad option a small Caesar, but unfortunately, I have an egg allergy too. It was a bit frustrating and I don’t understand why they wouldn’t make me a sandwich without bread. So my entire lunch was potato salad. I don’t ever expect places to accommodate my food needs, but when I see them making custom orders and then they refuse to make me one, or don’t offer me a menu, that is super frustrating. I won’t be going back.
They have an amazing veggie omelette with goat cheese mushrooms and squash potatoes are perfect and they offer a tasty gluten-free toast. If you haven't come here yet, what are you waiting for!
We have been coming here for three years and love the gluten free options! The atmosphere is always pleasant and welcoming. The menu options are great with a wide variety of gluten free options (including gluten free dessert). We love it and the people there are always a joy!!
Excellent brunch meal. The food was great. Service, courteous and super friendly! Busy, busy with a short wait. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options on the menu.
So disappointed with Chick-fil-A these days! It doesn't matter which one we go to their food is not gluten free anymore. Our celiac family's go to drive thru dinner is now Hat Creek. Except their milkshakes are not as good as Chick-fil-A's! Wish Gluten Free was top of the list then everyone can be included! 💔😭🙏
I just absolutely love my pizza every time I order it. I order a completely vegetarian pizza exactly how I like it and I am never disappointed. Their gluten free options are delicious as well, which is hard to find at most places.
Love the patio! Our server was super sweet and awesome. Drinks and food tasted good. They modified to do gluten free but I wish they had a dedicated menu for gluten free
Are you kidding me?! The food here is so good. I seriously was not expecting this. I don't know what they're doing to that chicken, but it is amazing. Mexican/Latin flare to the food here. Served with rice and beans, the charro beans...oh my. Nice selection of dipping sauces for the chicken and plenty of dishes to choose from. The chicken is grilled to perfection. I'm a gluten free diner, and this place checks off all boxes. You MUST give this place a try if you haven't already.
