I cannot understand this place. We used to eat here every now and then, several years ago, though the Allen location was our favorite until it went downhill. It’s one of the few places that has gluten free toast and pancakes….which USED to be really good. Now there are more options out there and the quality of their GF is suffering.
We were the first ones in the restaurant, yet everything but the corned beef hash was VERY cold! Just HOW!?!?
The eggs were way overcooked.
My wife has some disabilities that are worsened when having to chew cold GF toast (IYKYK). She explained this to the server, promising a huge tip for a hot, softer piece of toast. He then blabbed it loud enough to the kitchen(with attitude) for the entire restaurant to hear (more people had come in) and still brought back not as cold toast.
Just because you stay busy, doesn’t mean you’re the best or that you quit trying. We spent $40 for this treatment, then went down to Chick-fil-A and had a $6 breakfast that was a million times better!!
But hey, Eggsquite has good coffee…

I love this little cafe! This is one of the few places open as early as 7am (which is perfect for us night-shifters who get off work at 6am) AND they have gluten free pancakes and French toast on the menu! Both times we’ve been there Tyler was our server and he is so kind and so attentive. Food is excellent, service is wonderful and prices are fair. My only complaint is the smell of the cleaning products is a little strong which is disappointing in a restaurant. But we still love to eat breakfast here!

I just moved to McKinney a couple weeks ago and have been testing out different gluten friendly spots since. This place was without a doubt the best one I’ve had so far. My 8 year old sister and I both eat gluten free and our waitress Patricia was so accommodating and helpful!! Their gluten free pancakes are fantastic and so was the omelette I got. Ogi's European Bakery and Deli is a fantastic find! My husband had the Classic Reuben on Rye with chips and a drink, and as someone with celiac, I truly appreciated their dedicated gluten-free menu. I ordered the Herb Chicken on a lettuce wrap with chips and a drink, and both meals were fresh and flavorful.
The owner was incredibly kind and knowledgeable, letting me know that all their soups and salads are gluten-free. For dessert, I got a piece of Belgian Orange cake—also gluten-free—made mostly of walnuts with no artificial ingredients. It was delicious!
The staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive to every customer, whether dining in or picking up a to-go order. The atmosphere was inviting, making it a great spot for lunch.

First of all, the 2 women who helped us were the best! We have not been treated this well in a restaurant in a long time. We were the first in for the day, and they took care of us.
My wife got the Sweet Potato Hash Bowl (good gluten free option), and I got the Retro Plate. We both loved our food. Coffee, tea, and a sweet side of Cinnamon Chip biscuits.
Everything was cooked well, great flavors, and 100% will be back. Loved it! And like many others have said, those Smashbrowns are some serious savory sides! They were the bomb!!
Highly recommend. Just know... if it's a weekend or holiday, it will be busy and maybe loud. I've been a couple times now. Weekdays are the time to go if you can. Quiet and plenty of seating.
