Sensational pizza (gluten free to accommodate m’lady) with delicious ingredients. Service was so friendly and accommodating. And how can you beat corkage free booze from the wine shop next door. Thanks for great experience Hamish and Alex.
We had a really nice meal here .
The brisket was really good and was also gluten free. So that was good .The service was good and the decor in the room was very good too .A good selection of music was playing when we were there .It looks like they have live music there too .Well worth a look .
Been going here for years now. Always a nice place to be. Tonight I took my little kids who also love it. (Their request in fact)
Mostly gluten free which is a huge win for me. Great selection of drinks.
Good for any occasion.
Love your work team (:
I had one of the vegan / gluten free options for lunch and took out one of the ingredients that I'm intolerant too. It was really delicious. My friends enjoyed their food and smoothies too.
We loved this place and thought the service was great and the pizzas delicious. I really appreciated the gluten free pizza having no surcharge too, such a rarity! The place has a great vibe (without tv screens would be even better). Thanks for the great food and cocktails, we Will be back!
Food was of a poor standard, large rice was tiny. Food indicated it was gluten free, but after eating the food I became ill. Don't bother wasting your time and money.
My recent visit to Pins on Lurline left me with mixed feelings, primarily due to a frustrating dining experience. We had chosen this restaurant to host a special meal for a visiting family friend from the UK over the long weekend. While the manager's willingness to accommodate us at the last minute was appreciated, the actual service we encountered was far from satisfactory.
We opted for the 6-course meal and one with a wine pairing, expecting a delightful culinary experience. Unfortunately, the experience quickly soured due to multiple service mishaps. When placing our order, I emphasized my dietary restriction: no red meat, but chicken, pork, and fish were acceptable. Despite this, our first hiccup occurred when the waitress brought two beef cheek dishes to the table, inquiring about gluten-free preferences. Once again, I reiterated my dietary requirement and preference for non-vegetarian options. Nevertheless, the next course arrived as a pumpkin risotto, completely disregarding my request.
As the courses progressed, the errors continued. When everyone received the lamb dish, I was served a chickpea-based alternative, despite once more explaining my dietary restrictions. The waitress's response was far from accommodating, stating that I would have to wait for the fish option if I did not want the chickpea dish. At this point, I just wanted to enjoy a meal without further complications, so I reluctantly accepted the dish that had been incorrectly presented.
Our dissatisfaction extended to the wine pairing service. Throughout the evening, our wine glasses were consistently refilled, even before the corresponding food had been served. It wasn't until we reminded the waitress that we were still awaiting our main course that the wine service slowed down.
To add to the chaos, during dessert, another waitress approached our table, inquiring about the wine pairing as if we hadn't already been receiving it. This mix-up only served to highlight the lack of communication and organization among the staff.
Perhaps the most glaring oversight was the neglect of our basic needs. For the entire 2.5-hour duration of our meal, no one bothered to refill our water glasses, leaving us parched and frustrated.
We had hoped for a special meal with our visiting friend but left feeling let down by the restaurant's service quality.
The Old City Bank exceeded all expections. The menu was diverse and had solid crowd pleasers and some wonderful more creative options - it had something for everyone including vego and gluten free. The food was excellent.
The staff were delightful and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The building retains its history and period décor. Downstairs is an excellent bar with local bevies available and dining is directly above. Make sure to book if you there on a weekend or during the holidays - seems they are no secret!
Great spot for a cosy coffee and food on a cool morning. Friendly staff, great selection of gluten free treats (handmade locally). Great ham and cheese croissant with the best local ham. Highly recommend
Food and service was lovely...
just need more Gluten Free and Dairy Free options.
The only downside really was the accoustics..especially wen full of people talking, deafening!
They need some "soft furnishings" on floor and walls..and ceiling? Was headache material... and impossible to have conversation. A pity.
Hope they can address that.. then it will be a "good go to" cafe. Especially for us locals🙏🤞
Gorgeous interior decor with a warm and cozy ambience, with excellent service and a diverse menu, including vegan and gluten free options. The food was tasty and the pricing and portion sizes were spot on. I'd come here again.
