So happy to have this place in the Redlands! Delicious food, great customer service and attention to detail in making sure it’s coeliac safe. The GF fried chicken is fantastic, GF kimchi is a must, a dedicated fryer for chicken & chips and plenty of other GF options. Can’t rate this place highly enough!
Delicious Korean BBQ experience. Meat quality was superb and service was excellent. My partner is coeliac and they took such a good care we had the best experience. Highly recommended

Food and drinks were lovely but service and venue are not good for a group booking. I would recommend considering other restaurant options for following reasons:
- booked for 19 guests ($3000 spend), one person was sick on morning of and we were still charged per head for them - no flexibility with the group booking policy even with unforeseen events. Also charged for a whole extra person, there has been communication with the restaurant regarding this and they have communicated they will refund the extra charge but not the ‘no show’.
- On arrival, the restaurant was very quiet for weekend lunch service. Staff were not friendly (except one male waiter, short with brown hair) or welcoming, in fact we almost felt we were an inconvenience. This continued throughout our entire experience at lunch.
- they could not accomodate or move tables together so that 18 people could sit together. We were sitting on two adjacent tables and separated. The reason they explained for this was that by putting two table together “it would interrupt service to other tables”. As mentioned above the restaurant was quiet and there were no other guest dining around us at all for the entirety of our booking.
- We had provided dietary requests upon making group booking and were informed via email that the booking notes would be updated. Staff came to take our order and they did not appear to be aware we were having the banquet and had no prior knowledge of pre-notified dietary requirements.
- Additionally, there was no indication that we would then be charged extra for food substitution for those with allergies. Ie charged extra $9 for roti for someone anaphylactic to sulphites and someone who is coeliac
- I can appreciate extra charges for substitutions but the restaurant didn’t consider crediting us when we only ordered 9 desserts instead of 18. Of course ordinarily I would not have expected credit for this but I think some flexibility and consideration for the extra charges for dietary would go along way!
- Fans above tables were not working and we were told they were broken. Summer in Byron bay is hot!
Overall, Bang Bang has fallen short of providing a smooth experience for a celebratory group booking and I would consider the multiple other dining options in Byron.

Eddy and Wolff was an amazing place to eat. Absolutely no notes, everything was perfect.
Me and my partner came here to celebrate our anniversary, and as a gluten free person it was an absolute delight to relax here and not worry about the menu, as everything was gluten free. The food and was insanely delicious, we’ll be coming back to try the rest of the menu at some point, and we definitely recommend the soy sauce ice cream for dessert!! The cocktails were beautiful and tasted unique.
Shout out to Samuel too, he came to rescue us when we got lost and made us all the aforementioned delicious cocktails.
Thanks for having us guys, we’ll be back.
There are a few both gluten free AND vegan options - though they are indeed quite a bit more friendly if you are just one or the other. I had a tofu cashew dip with lotus chips plus a mushroom aburi I’m still thinking about. 👌
Though the red onions were not my style.
Super unique and delicious spot - cute outdoor seating and friendly staff.
We waited 40min to get our order… we were only a table of 3 people. All the tables around us have been served before us but arrived later. The okonomiyaki was burnt, the corn cheese was floating in oil, the noodles were too much cooked, the clay pot was fade…. No indication for gluten free meal.. no tap water … Never again !
my brother and I had the best experience. We cannot wait to come back and bring friends to show them how amazing the food and the experience was. particularly being coeliac I didn’t think I could go to a Korean barbecue. they were brilliant and were so knowledgeable completely made me comfortable with my own gluten free sauces and sides. Well priced 💕💕
It's been hard to find great Japanese & korean food in the Illawarra, and Jin's Place is truly the go-to! The wait time is WORTH IT. It's a small kitchen, with a lot of love and soul put into each dish! I almost always get the ramen or udon soup. Price wise mains average 17-25$ entrees/sides 4-15$ great serving sizes. Fantastic, deep flavours, very fresh ingredients. The staff is very kind and attentive and the kitchen is happy to make adjustments to your order especially dietary wise. They have gluten free options for a lot of their dishes which is awesome as it's hard to find places that do gluten free udon or ramen noodles (great quality and consistency, cant tell they're gluten free at all). Jin's Place been a great spot for me after a long work day - hits the spot for relaxing comfort food. Haven't been to many places in Corrimal foodwise, but Jim's place is now my go-to.
Gorgeous interior decor with a warm and cozy ambience, with excellent service and a diverse menu, including vegan and gluten free options. The food was tasty and the pricing and portion sizes were spot on. I'd come here again.
Went here while up the coast.
Was one of the best rated so decided to give it a try on a Saturday night. Got there as it opened, and within 10 minutes all inside was full!
Got the Wagyu plate. Staff were very attentive to make sure side dishes were gluten free for my wife.
Meat was tender and to die for, and love that they were playing Korean Englishman on the tv haha! Will defenitely be back.
Really nice place to try Asian foods. We felt the food was a bit sweet for our liking but if you don't mind that, then this place is great. Lovely service. The lady who looked after us triwd to make sure we ordered the right foods for us seeing some of us had to be gluten free. They wait until you've finished and left the table to clear it, so you aren't rushed off. They do hotpots as well. So if you want to try that, you can come here.
The restaurant was tidy, the customer service is impeccable and beyond the standard for korean food. Recommended for Korean food in Newcastle. Gluten-free options available.
We came across this Thai restaurant by accident, and we are glad we did. My wife has to have gluten free and the coconut chicken and the beef pad thai with egg noodles were made accordingly. They were both very delicious and the staff were very courteous with the owner (we think) giving us a nod of acknowledgement. Next time in Cairns we will come again. Also the Portuguese music played in this restaurant was very pleasant to hear.
I love coming here with a small group for Lunch and Dinner. They have a large menu with a great variety of options which include many gluten free options as well as vegetarian options. I also really like their drink menu. It also never takes them too long to come out with the food.
I have also enjoyed every dish that I’ve ordered on their menu 💓💓
The only thing to consider is that the restaurant gets pretty loud at times (not always), which can be uncomfortable for some people. ❣️
Dropped in late at 8pm on a Thursday for the first time. Was warmly welcomed and helped through with order selection. Had a great range of gluten free and vegetarian options.
Food was well cooked with balanced tasty flavours. Texture of fried chicken was remarkably good considering how late - very fresh. My partner loved her mushroom bibimbap. Coleslaw had a great kick to it.
Free sample of new soup menu was well appreciated as tasted like a proper bone broth (not as stocky and salty as others around). My partner and I will be back regularly :)
Warm, friendly staff and amazingly yummy food (with gluten free options). So good!!!! The Gluten Free Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl was fantastic! This place is an asset to the Coolum Street Food scene.
Great food and the staff made me, my wife, and our 4 friends feel very accommodated for. They made recommendations based on any food allergies, which was really appreciated because one of us was gluten intolerant.
At the super cozy family restaurant Sang by Mabasa, we opted for the 'feed me' menu, an excellent choice for those seeking a Korean culinary experience. The food was incredibly tasteful and succulent! They offer gluten-free options and a variety of drinks. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Food was fantastic and they could appropriately cater to my gluten intolerance. Wagyu was sublime and everything was fresh and tasty. So much food! Did the non marinated combination and the two of us could not finish.
Beautiful space, cosy ambience, and the most perfect food and service! Great vegetarian and gluten-free options. Thank you, Grace and Roy for such a memorable evening! 💜💜💜
We ordered 3 different types of bibimbap via Ubereats. They arrived quickly. Absolutely delicious, most authentic and tasty that we've eaten. Also, catered for gluten free by ringing me and telling me the only item that was not gf was the soy sauce so they put all sauces on the side in separate containers. Awesome all round. And they're close to us, we'll be ordering again, for sure!
Outstanding place. Service from the head person was great. Looked after our gluten free requirement with lots of modifications. Thanks. Wished there were more of these around Melbourne
First try Korean restaurant in Brisbane. It will be my Go To restaurant every time I fly to Gold Coast.
Very cozy place but high quality of Korean food. I actually tried most of Korean dishes and I was so into it. KFC was so finger licking good and wasn’t that too spicy. Actually they had 2 different taste. Galbi was so yummy and not too sweet. And the rest of dishes were so good with Very good balance. I guess the owner chef has great knowledge of food and nutrition.
The main thing is to use gluten free ingredients and free range eggs.
Staff was so friendly and energetic. And Make sure for everyone to try Mangobingsu as a dessert.
All the best!
Service was good. Lots of options on the menu, with clear vegetarian and gluten free options indicated. Food came pretty quick and tasted nice. Reasonably priced for the serving sizes.
Always dine her on lunch break , the lady who serve me and my friend were always accommodating and she even went out all the way and cater my friend gluten free option even if was limited . Glad we made the call and dine in 🙏😊🤍
This is a small hidden gem restaurant in Mudgeeraba, that serves Korean/Japanese cuisine. We came in and ordered chicken teriyaki, and it tasted amazing. The owner is a friendly chap he chat to us while we ate. Definitely worth a visit if you want your taste buds spoiled and also receive friendly service. There are also vegetarian gluten free options available.
The Agadashi tofu to start with was to die for …crispy on the outside and nice and soft inside …The Bulgogi rice bowl was tasty. We finished it off with the cheesecake with blueberry compote (gluten free) and coffee. Will visit again and try more of their dishes !
Was so excited to find this place and after trying there vegan chicken I wasn't disappointed. Great place for groups as they have a large range of vegan and non vegan options, they also had a fair few gluten free options.
Good quality meat and charcoal bbq. Reasonable pricing given Canberra standards (which is usually a bit higher). Good for gluten free options (mostly bbq) and those on lower carbohydrate diets.
Came here with a fairly large group and really enjoyed the meal. Staff were very attentive and helpful. My friend has coeliac disease and can't have gluten, they were very accommodating. For $60 all you can eat there is a large variety of Japanese and Korean dishes including fried chicken and tteokbokki. All the meat we had, especially the wagyu meat was super delicious. Already can't wait to go back 😋
Got the lunch special here with my wife ($70).
Didn't expect to get a full as I did but was sneakily filling with all the side dishes.
1st win is that it's charcoal! 2nd win was that it was filled with locals. Most important win was the service and how attentive our waitress was in seperating gluten free side dishes to standard.

Stumbled across this place quite by accident, but so glad we did.
Nice, relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, and the food was delicious with plenty gluten-free and vegan options.
Excellent service, excellent food. Always double checking and confirming with us after we mentioned a gluten allergy at the table. The only downside I have is the toilet paper in the bathrooms. 10/10 food, 3/10 bathroom
I made a large order from Seoul Fry for my son's 21st. Despite the size of the order, the friendly lady who served me patiently answered my questions about the menu and ensured that I understood the portion sizes (for catering purposes) and which items were gluten free (safe for my coeliac daughter). She also confirmed each item of my large order to avoid a mistake. It was a refreshing surprise to be treated so patiently when making my large and confusing order. After about 15-20mins (a speedy timeframe given its size) my order was ready and she carefully confirmed each item (important for coeliacs). As for the food, it was hot, fresh, and delicious. And the catering amount / portioning was spot on. Overall, the party was a success and everyone left satisfied. My thanks go to SF Korean Chicken for a great experience (and taking the stress out of a situation I was extremely nervous about).
Great Korean cafe resturant. Delightfully tasty food beautifully prepared and presented. Concise but diverse menu with several gluten free & a few Vego options. Prompt and friendly service from staff. Coffee was excellent too. Recommended.
Great little hidden gem. I’ve had lunch here before and take away dinner tonight. Very tasty Bibimbap but gluten free Pad Thai was a bit bland. Looking forward to trying more. Easy to make phone order, friendly & polite staff. Unique indoor /outdoor setting to eat in. Recommend
