Panini Grill was a fantastic experience! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. As someone who eats gluten-free, it was such a treat to enjoy a flavorful, satisfying meal without compromise. Highly recommend!
It was nice to go on Memorial Day. Good weather so we ate outside. We had a gluten-free pizza and the wings. They have the best gluten-free pizza on Staten Island. The wings are the greatest. Why not go see a movie afterward since the theater is right next door?
went on a friday night, service was very good seated right and served in a timely manner. options for gluten free and even vegan appetizers and entrees.
I discovered the Z-Two Diner back in April 2024 after a Judas Priest concert in NJ and my buddy and I were both starving late at night when nothing else is open, especially for two guys with Celiac Disease, which means we can only eat gluten free. We drove there on the way back to Brooklyn and we both had one of the many choices of burgers on a GF bun with GF steak fries. The food to say the least was delicious and of good quality.
I normally don't like diner food because the quality tends to be sub-par and typically the flavors are very bland. Since that night in April, I have been back to Z-Two almost every weekend with my family, especially since I've relocated to Staten Island. The food is still very good, the service and the staff are friendly, professional and welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable. They always have a smile on their faces and love to delight you with funny stories and small talk. The atmosphere is modern and the restaurant is clean. There's plenty of free parking in the parking lot.
I highly recommend visiting the restaurant if you've never been there and try the food.
Writing as a review of the gluten-free pizza since there haven't been any for a while. I appreciate that it's an option and they can do a lot of variety with the toppings, but I really didn't care for the crust. It was extremely thin and crispy, almost like a cracker, and the edges were somewhat burnt. I got the veggie pizza and I'm not sure if the veggies watered down the pizza sauce or something but it tasted off - somewhat watered down, not very seasoned, and stronger tomato flavor. I was with some friends who had a couple regular pizzas, they tried the gluten-free and mostly agreed that it tasted quite different from the regular pizza's sauce. Service was good, restaurant was clean and I didn't have any symptoms after eating the pizza (I have Celiac) but it was not one I'd go back for. One of my friends said he liked the crust because he likes that style, but the rest of it wasn't as good.
Nice place to eat dinner, staffs are friendly. Our hostess was very attentive, didn't have 2 wait 2 long for our food I ordered a grilled chicken Ceasar salad which was a nice portion, it was very good, the grilled chicken was very tender and seasoned properly , I ate the whole thing. Also the bread was really good, I'm guessing it's fresh baked . They take cash or credit. The raspberry iced tea is good too and my kids enjoyed their chicken plater meals. Nice relaxing place, would go again to try a different dish. Thanks for the free blooming onion, quite not what I expected, it tasted really good! Cheers!!
TO THE LADY WHO WAS ASKING ABOUT THE GLUTEN FREE ....YES THEY HAVE A WHOLE MENU , PLEASE BE SURE TO ASK YOUR SERVER.
I WANTED TO MAKE SURE I HAVE CORRECT INFO BEFORE ANSWERING YOUR QUESTION, AND THEN I COULDN'T FIND YOUR QUESTION. SORRY!
We loved the chef today. He was hilarious and seemed like he was having just as good a time as we were! delicious food as always. and very accommodating to my gluten allergy.
Came here for your typical Saturday early dinner vibes was told no menu substitutions on the weekend, so I didn’t order food as I couldn’t get my regular order, so instead ordered a side of fries, another person at the table asked for a side of honey mustard was told to use the one in another plate that is on the table. My waitress was absolutely not helpful accommodating or recommending. Also the bus boys have no idea what is going on or what table the food is going to, had to get their attention after circling the area with our food to let him know it was ours. Pretty disappointing as this is typically my go to spot for nice days unsure if I will be returning again.
Also had a gluten free person with our group, no other options other than salad I mean get with the times.
Primo: they have gluten-free pizza and were great. (If you want gluten-free pizza from here make sure you call ahead of time to confirm.) Secondo: this pizzeria appears to be always swamped and lucky to get your order in. Lastly, this is a cash only pizzeria but on the plus side they have an 🏧.
Review for those with any allergy to gluten: I’ve been given flour tortilla with my tacos instead of the 100% gluten free corn tortillas I asked for twice! The second time I just returned them, but the first time I trusted that I got what I asked for. Be very careful.
Gluten free hand tossed pizza and red velvet cake. Amazing service by all of the staff. Thank you Ungaro! The crust was so good on the regular pies and my daughter loved the gluten free. The staff were very attentive and sweet to my small children who were very tired. Another place my little celiac can eat safely. We’ll be back!!!
Writing as a review of the gluten-free pizza since I don't see any here so far. This place has two options for gluten-free - a gluten-free cauliflower crust and a gluten-free crust. I asked what the difference was and if the server knew what kind of flour was used for the gluten-free crust, but she wasn't sure other than mentioning maybe corn (which I could see based on the slight yellow color of the crust). I had the gluten-free crust with the trio of sauces and absolutely loved it. The crust is a little bit thicker and chewier, maybe 1/4 inch thick. The sauces were very good, distinct but worked well together. I'm not normally a big fan of pesto but this was quite good. The mozzarella was under the sauces and was a very good texture. The crust was a little crunchy for my tastes, but I know I'm probably in the minority for that around this area. I have Celiac and did not have any symptoms after eating the pizza, both at the restaurant and the morning after with the leftovers I'd taken home.
It was our first time trying Patrizias Taverna in New Dorp and it did not disappoint! I have celiac disease so I’m always cautious on where and what to eat. The server and Antonio were very well aware of what is gluten free and not. Antonio went above and beyond to assure me they can make almost everything on the menu gluten free. I had the cauliflower appetizer which was amazing, and the bronzino which was excellent as well. When I inquired about the dessert, the chef recommended the cantaloupe and lemon sorbet, and they were absolutely delicious! Can’t wait to dine there again! Thank you to Antonio and the staff for a wonderful dinner experience!
My family & I absolutely love Casa Nino’s Pizza Bar! Everything from the food, service and ambiance is great! The buffalo slice is amazing and I appreciate that they have several gluten free options that are also delicious.
Staff was very friends and super accommodating of allergies. We had a fixed menu but they still went out of their way to create a pasta dish that was gluten-free, and even offered to make a special appetizer that would be allergy friendly. All the food was delicious
My church group had a truly lovely Saturday afternoon lunch with a view of the water and sunny blue skies. The portions were more than ample & we all had such a wonderful experience. Our server was also extremely helpful in amending items for gluten intolerance and putting the drinks on a separate tab.❤️
Got seated right away, very reasonably priced endless options for AYCE. Added bonus side bar for dipping sauces, kimchis, sushi, flavored oils.. just everything you need and more for BBQ👏👏 gluten free friendly, too!!
