We have been coming for years and it is always spectacular. My celiac son is delighted. They always surprise him with new tastes. Thank you all for such great service.
They offer gluten-free pasta and pizza options. We had two pizzas, both large and quite good. The waiters were helpful and attentive. Located right on the seafront, the atmosphere is pleasant.
Perfect restaurant for celiacs since the owner is celiac so he is aware of food intolerance, mixed fried food without gluten and also parmigiana, for the pizza it must be booked a day in advance because the impact is made by gold and it is good quality. Therefore no frozen pizzas or prepared by large food chains. Dessert …… logically gluten-free tiramisu
We had dinner one night with music in the plaza and were treated with great attention. The tapas were delicious, the gluten-free pizza was absolutely perfect, and the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend it 👍🏻
We went for lunch on a Saturday; we were the first to arrive, but the place filled up immediately after opening. It wasn’t our first time, and we keep coming back because this place deserves more than 5 stars.
The venue, location, service, food, and atmosphere are spectacular.
We had an appetizer with three items: Taggiasca olives, sun-dried tomatoes, and smoked provola mozzarella—all divine—accompanied by homemade crostini that were delightful on their own with a drizzle of olive oil. But we saw many more antipasto options that we bet were amazing as well (next time: bufala appetizer for sure).
Then we ordered two pizzas: a Recco filled with melty crescenza mozzarella and extra Taggiasca olives, and a gluten-free base pizza with spicy salami. Both were excellent, a sure thing. We topped the pizzas with homemade spicy oil, which was also truly exquisite.
The establishment offers house wine, bottled and branded, although we enjoyed two excellent spritzes. As for the coffee: 100% Italian espresso, excellent, accompanied by a nice treat—a chocolate bonbon.
Truly a place to dine regularly. Thank you for this quality and customer care.
Lots to pick from. Staff very helpful taking into consideration we are gluten free. We were there quite early but have heard it gets very busy later on
Delicious food - very accommodating for vegan and gluten free including beer. Waiting staff were the perfect level of attentiveness and had an excellent knowledge of the menu. Lovely atmosphere. My husband really enjoyed the steak and I thought he was going to leave me for the peppercorn sauce.
The place is very good, it is small and cozy, the man who served us was very friendly, we ordered a gluten-free pasta and a prosciutto pizza for MY taste, the pizza did not have an authentic Italian pizza flavor and the pasta was quite expensive.
we took the breakfast bowl (with quinoa, figs, eggs and avocado) and toast with avocado, egg and salmon. they have glutenfree bread which was amazing! the green juice and the protein smoothie were also nice. all in all the food tasted very healthy and with little salt. we felt very good after it.
We came this evening for a family meal, 20 of us!! They accommodate us straight away, even gluten free. Amazing staff, great English, perfect evening. Thank you very much for making a birthday perfect 👌
Amazing views, delicious food and lovely staff. Best Canarian potatoes on the island. Definitely recommend the sharing Canarian cheese with chutney and the cannelloni with spinach and pine nuts was devine. Sangria was the tastiest we've ever had. Great options for gluten free and vegetarian diets.
Canarian restaurant at the foot of the port with cuisine with personality where the food is delicious and also suitable for celiacs! We ate clams, mussels, prawns with garlic, and a delicious salad. Plus a gluten-free brownie with delicious coconut sorbet.
Thank you very much for taking care of cross contamination, we will return!
Visited here tonight whilst on Holiday. Food was amazing. Staff very friendly Most of the menu can be done gluten free and I had the most amazing gf bread roll I've ever tasted yet. Will definitely visit again
The food is amazing and price worthy. The staff was nice. However I’m celiac and at first it felt like they really knew what on the menu was gluten free and they even offered gluten free bread. But when the bread arrived I was really sceptic because it looked, smelled and acted like normal bread. The staff was convinced it was gluten free but they couldn’t show me any ingredients list or packaging. So I recommended the food but if you’re eating gluten free I would skip the bread
Amazing food for both lunch and dinner. Huge range of gluten free options. Highly recommend the garlic prawns and octopus to start for dinner. Mixed burrito was excellent. Staff were very friendly and funny.
Gluten free garlic bread was a real treat.
Good value for money.
Looks really nice, great view of the sea. They don’t do gluten free pizza, however they do do gluten free pasta (the online menu needs updating). Otherwise a lovely place.
Really highly recommended. The burgers were delicious. We had one with beef, one with chicken and veggie. Super friendly staff. And every burger was also available with a gluten-free bun, which was delicious.
Incredible attention from Rosario, super attentive at all times. Good food, incredible focaccia from maestro Josepe. Very large portions. Gluten-free pasta option. Quality - Incredible price.
Better to book in high season.
This is a fantastic restaurant if you like steak or burgers. Quite simply quality produce cooked well. Easily better steak than chain restaurants like Miller and Carter in the UK.
My wife is Gluten free and whilst they no longer serve burger buns, they were open and honest about what could be offered before booking and then again before ordering.
Service was also amazing and they were fantastic with the children.
As tourists we like to read reviews of the vegan restaurants in the destination. So we are going to provide information about the aspects that we value.
Location: very cozy atmosphere, with several stores around which makes it an area with a lot of life. Parking can be more complicated but the good part is that you can then walk along the promenade.
Vegan and gluten-free options: there were several options, quite a few if we take into account that the menu is a bit reduced compared to other places, although they add dishes off the menu.
Attitude of the staff: in this case, highlight the kindness and familiarity they achieve with their close treatment and always with a smile on their face.
The food: in this case we ordered the buddha arbowl, an off-the-menu risotto and a pistachio ice cream with chocolate. Fast service and very delicious food, highlighting the dessert, which left us wanting to repeat.
Quality/price ratio: taking into account the area where it is located and the quality of the food, it is reasonable.
Finally I wanted to mention that the place has a menu of Belgian beers, as an opportunity to try some and music with vinyl (there may be some for sale if we understand correctly).
Food was very good. Particularly interesting for people with gluten intolerance. There is delicious pasta here. The lasagna portion was too small for the price. The service was nice but a bit exaggerated. Sea view but that was it. Still recommended.
Few gluten-free options without cross-contamination. They tell me they have gluten-free bread for toast. I ask where they toast it, and they tell me it's in the same toaster as the gluten-containing bread. They're quite ignorant about what celiacs can and can't eat and what cross-contamination is. Room for improvement.
Highly recommended place, fresh fish, exquisite staff, and very attentive, gluten-free beer, gluten-free bread, and cornstarch calamari option. I will definitely return with the family. I wasn't able to take photos.
Highly recommended, a friend and I went (she has celiac disease), super attentive and helpful at all times, very pleasant. In addition, the food was great and everything was very well priced. Without a doubt if I return to Puerto Rico I will go again. No
I rarely go to Italian restaurants abroad but when your wife's desire for pizza calls, well that desire becomes my desire... and I was really pleasantly impressed. I ate these tagliatelle with a really excellent lamb ragout. With the same ragù my wife took a gluten-free pizza (pre-ready base sigh). Both definitely satisfied. But the real surprise within the surprise was the caprese cake. I don't think I've ever eaten one so good. The service is attentive, kind, welcoming, decidedly Italian (in the positive meaning of the term).
Prices appropriate to the quality.
Obviously on the way out we booked for a couple of nights later. I will also update you regarding the pizza 😉
PS
For celiac friends they have both GF pasta and pizza.
And here's an update. The pizza is really excellent and the gluten-free pasta is also devoured. We drank an excellent New Zealand wine and repeated it with the excellent Caprese.
I don't know if I will return to Gran Canaria but if it happens I will certainly come back to eat here.
Applause goes to the truly uniquely courteous staff.
Here if I were to participate in "Little big Italy" this would be my local Italian restaurant.
We ate at Rustico and it does not disappoint. Stunning food, carefully selected flavours and textures, very fair pricing and attentive staff. We adored it so much we booked for a second night on our holiday. My partner is gluten free and the range of options and knowledge the staff had surpassed our expectations. The buffalo mozzarella and beef skewers are not to be missed, alongside the delicious creme Catalans for dessert. Do no hesitate to go, I’d come back to Gran Canaria just for this food
Fabulous night, great food and service, we were made to feel very welcome so much so we spent about 4 hours there.
The steak was cooked perfectly, and the drinks kept on flowing.
I'm Coeliac (gluten-free) and felt safe eating here as they understand cross contamination.
Would highly recommend.
Superb place to eat! Great setting overlooking the harbour! Super service, nothing was too much trouble! Very knowledgeable about gluten free options, which I think they shd add on their promotions. Will definitely be going back!
Great gluten free menu. It is good to find somewhere with a separate gluten free menu that had options for my children who are coeliac. Would recommend.
Highly recommended authentic Spanish restaurant. Found this place based on Google reviews and it did not disappoint.
Delicious food and excellent service, received great wine recommendation as well. Cosy atmosphere. Allergenes clearly marked on menu and gluten free options available. Would definitely come back to try other dishes!
My 3yr old LOVED it here. The food was fantastic. I am gluten free and Lactose intolerant, they had a lovely gluten free burger bun and I would highly recommend the burger.
We visited twice during our recent holiday, and had great meals on both occasions. We came for lunch, initially sharing 3 pizzas between 6, when they happily brought us a plate each. The pizzas were delicious; our niece was particularly impressed with the gluten free version, and having tried a slice myself, it was very good. When we returned we had more pizzas, spaghetti Bolognese and fillet steak, and everyone enjoyed their meals. Service is friendly, good and relaxed. Prices were reasonable.
Just been for a meal and got to say the food was fantastic and the cocktails were amazing, really big with plenty of alcohol, the staff were very accommodating and friendly definitely recommend especially if you want vegan or gluten free options.
Great little gem of a place.
