Catered Beans and Barley for a post-wedding family picnic in the park! The process was seamless and we had so many great options to choose from. When we ordered, Jennifer made sure that we had enough food for 100 people and met dietary restrictions (nut-free, some vegetarian, some gluten-free). The day of, the team set everything up - including heated pans - all we needed to do was bring plates! Everyone complimented the spread - the turkey chutney sandwiches and the hummus on the veggies were guest favorites. And the pear coffee cake! Everything was clearly labelled and clean up was a breeze. Could not have been easier or more delicious - would order again!
Atmosphere was trendy and cool. Servers were nice and accommodating for dietary restrictions. We waited a very long time for food, and it was toward the end of service, so it was unclear why. Food was very good. Spamelette was really unique and flavorful. My stomach was upset for a couple hours after eating though, perhaps from the richness. But my friend was also quite sick after she ate a dish they prepared dairy free, gluten free.
We ordered a taco bar from the Bayside location for a family event with 45 people. It was a hit with all our guests. We put the final order in on a Monday, and the food was ready on time for pick up on Saturday. Staff took the time to show us how to set up the catering trays so everything stayed warm without burning. The food was on the mild side, which is what we needed for a large gathering. Have some hot sauce ready for spice loving guests. All main dishes were gluten free. Corn tortillas were packed separately from the flour tortillas. My only suggestion would be to label the salsas. We had a couple people doing tasting to figure it out. Overall, I would recommend Jose's Blue Sombrero for an informal event.
Amazing customer service, people were extremely nice and friendly. Food was good and had excellent choices for vegan and gluten free, allergy friendly menu items. Not super expensive either, which is a huge plus so I can come here more regularly.
Only leaving 4 stars because of the water having salt/minerals* and they had to remake my friend’s vegan tacos. Also would add that my mocktail was mostly ice… They were really good about providing allergen free laminated menus with notes.
*Suggestion to restaurant, I know other people have commented about the water. It probably would have been a 5 stars if not for water quality. It just was a gritty tap like taste.
(FYI water snobs in Madison, RED has the best free water served in restaurants)
I wish I lived closer bc this place is amazing! They can make basically anything off menu gluten free. They are aware of cross-contact and did it well. They had some interesting dishes I’ve never heard of like a burrito with pistachios and portabellas in with the chicken (my mom had in a corn tortilla). I had enchiladas without shells and they were great. I ate cactus for the first time as a side and it was yummy! I’m sensitive and had no reactions. They were so incredibly fast. I went to the bathroom after we ordered and the food was at the table when I came back!! Good portions and decent price. They were friendly, good with the kids and came out and sang for my son’s bday when we mentioned it. Loved this place.
Safe for those of us with celiac disease (gluten allergy) or severe gluten intolerance . All the food is made gluten free since the owner has celiac as well
First time here, and I was very satisfied with the El Papí sampler and the Lomo Saltado a Caballo (center)paired excellently with a glass of Malbec. My fellow lunch party also enjoyed their meals. They had the Parrilla Callejera (left) and La Taguara Burger (right). They have plenty of gluten-free options as well. Will return again.
Fantastic🥲 I have never had a proper burrito in my 27 years. This was amazing. I think I described it to our waitress as a “religious experience.” And it was just that! Thank you for having so many gluten free options & taking such great care with the allergy! I will be thinking of this burrito for a very long time since I’m not from the area!
Nice, well established Mexican restaurant. The highlight of their many menu choices are their flavorful and authentic sauces. Also a great choice for gluten-free and Celiac choices. They have a gf menu, gf tortilla chips and I have not reacted to cross-contact there.
Table 65 Bistro is one of my favorite restaurants in New Richmond. They have a vast menu which can accommodate gluten-free and vegan patrons. I haven't eaten anything there that I haven't loved, and I've been there many times. There have been times where we've had to wait quite a while for the food, but then there have also been times where we were served almost immediately. Everyone is nice and to me, it's worth the wait, if there is one. The menu has a variety of price points and many options to choose from. Everyone should be able to find something they're satisfied with. Check them out!
have eaten here multiple times since being diagnosed as celiac! chips are not made in a dedicated fryer but are apparently the only things cooked in the fryer? unsure but have felt fine post eating the chips! pinto beans have gluten so black beans only. gf options are labeled on menu, food will come with allergy tag if waiter/waitress puts allergy note in. also, house tequila is 100% agave so it’s safe from barley/malt/rye liquor. big fan of belair!!
We're extremely happy with AzTec Taqueria! Have eaten there in person several times and recently had them cater a party. Their food is delicious! As a gluten free home due to to Celiac disease, they're one of the few restaurants we trust to not get my son sick.
Contento in Delafield is to die for! I almost thought I’d been Raptured after my first bite of Lavender Flan. 😆 Oh yeah, the tacos were absolutely amazing. They look deceptively tiny but were loaded with meat. The cheese dip and chips with pico appetizer was smashingly delish. And the best part for my Celiac self…every item on the menu, with three exceptions, is strict gluten free.
Go there. You will thank me.
Thank you for providing safe gluten free options! It is difficult for our family to eat out in Hayward as we have one adult and one child with celiac disease. The only gluten items on the menu are flour tacos (I would also avoid the fryer if you have celiac), otherwise tacos can be made on corn tortillas. The sweet lady assured me she cooked my daughter’s chicken separately to make sure it was safe for her because she has celiac disease. Thank you for providing a vegetarian option too in the avocado/black bean tacos. Our family appreciates it and we will be back!
Food was good, servings were okay size, but ratios seemed off (too much rice, not enough beans/meat). I have celiac so gluten is a big concern for me whenever we try to dine out or get takeout and they handled my order perfectly. Very confident in their ability to handle food allergies especially when the restaurant is not busy, I have not seen them in action during a rush. Would be nice to have a little more info on the menu board, but overall a great experience.
Good for gluten free folks. Tell them you have a “gluten allergy” instead of “gluten free” or “celiac”. I have walked out of other locations due to them ignoring my simple requests to change their gloves or get cheese from the cooler, the current staff here actually listen and are helpful.
I want to say "THANK YOU SO MUCH!!" to Becky for going to great lengths to make sure I can enjoy a great meal out without the worry of my food allergy to Gluten, I have Celiacs.
Nice staff..quick and efficient. We eat here often as they have corn tortillas which is perfect since my husband has Celiac Diesel so he has to eat gluten-free. Maybe a line, but you can order pick up online/the app.
First things first: Abby was a wonderful, attentive, and friendly server! Service was so welcoming and she really went above and beyond for us during our visit, so I wanted to take a moment to highlight her specifically!
Food: We ordered the queso blanco, birria tacos and the carne asada tacos, and mexican smores. From appetizer to dessert, everything tasted amazing! I am a huge fan of the gluten-free options, as someone who has hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Definitely recommend—I am so grateful for restaurants like BelAir Cantina where even someone with dietary restrictions like mine can enjoy such delicious food!
Service: Again, just amazing! We came during their busiest time for dinner. Despite a bit of a wait, I never felt rushed or like I wasn’t being taken care of. We will definitely be back!
Atmosphere: This is just me, but I loved the music that was playing, very nostalgic! There is a lovely view of town square, and my fiancée and I were able to sit down and relax, feeling super cozy!
Because of the wait times we experienced, our dessert was compensated for. I was not expecting this at all. I really cannot wait to come back and try more items on the menu!
Update 6/25/25:
We are quickly becoming regulars here!
Just wanted to add that I recommend trying their Margarita Flights, the sampler sizes are great!
When you've never been, but you think you should, you're right! My very first experience at the QDOBA, and I was quite pleased with the result. The gentleman behind the counter was pleasant enough, and upon hearing it was my first time in said "its like Subway, but Mexican!" After everything, I would much like to agree, with a little addition. The accommodation to gluten free people is a bowl instead of a burrito. The base is still your choice of white or brown rice, and the options for protein & veg are also still varied and good. If in a "Mexican" mood for food downtown, QDOBA can serve you up right!😋
My wife, being allergic to gluten. Notified the crew 3 separate times and asked the guy making her food to please use clean gloves. The worker was almost done then turned to the guy behind him and specifically asked him to touch the food with his contaminated gloves. At which point my wife cant eat it without a serious reaction. So when I said something the customer behind us said it was on us not there problem, the crew did nothing to claim responsibly but let the person in line continue belittle us for an allergy, at that point they offered to remake her bowl at no charge, it appeared to us that they were just trying to move the line along. No apologies. Nothing. My wife went home hungry, embarrassed and belittled and a little angry. We had an hour drive home. They really need to educate there staff about food allergies and the repercussions of them!
I just went in there tonight with my fiancé, and I was blown away by the staff that helped us. I wish I would have gotten the young man’s name, but he really went above and beyond for me. I was recently diagnosed with celiac disease, so I can’t have any gluten. I went in and asked him to just change his gloves and told him about my gluten issue, and he ended up changing out the utensils in everything that I wanted for my bowl, wiped the counter down and then thoroughly washed and sanitized his hands and arms before putting on new gloves to make my food. I have a lot of anxiety about going out to eat because a lot of restaurants don’t take celiac disease seriously, but they did. I am really grateful and will definitely be back because of this.
One of the best places to eat at in Waukesha! Only place in Waukesha I trust for great tacos & guacamole. Also they have plenty of gluten - free options too. Great food, great service, and excellent hospitality. Recommended to me by Bridge Church. I've been here a handful of times and it's always good.😊 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌮🌯🥙🥑🥣🍹
Called before arriving to confirm that they have gluten free options and the gentleman on the phone was very kind and confirmed that they can let the kitchen know about a food allergy. However, when we arrived and asked about the gluten free options, the wait staff looked at us in confusion.
The older gentleman with glasses who took our order was very rude and impatient. He hovered over one of us, tapping his pen, after we kindly told him twice that we need more time to review the menu. When we asked if we could substitute black beans instead of refried beans he had no idea what we were asking for and then angrily responded by saying it comes with "regular beans!".
The other wait staff were more friendly, but the service overall was not good. Chicken was barely seasoned. We've been to many authentic Mexican restaurants, but not a good experience for our first time here.
This was the first time I went there. The food was good, but seemed blander than other Mexican restaurants, but maybe that's more authentic. I had the combo dinner with one beef enchilada and one chicken taco, which came with rice and beans. The food was very good quality and fresh tasting, especially the chicken, which was the freshest I have ever had (seemed freshly shredded off the bone). I was just a bit disappointed that it wasn't served with guacamole and sour cream, like many places do, but it was still delicious. The chips and salsa were average, again, they seemed bland. I was very impressed by their great service. Since we're allergic to wheat/gluten, we have to ask a lot of questions before even eating the chips. The waiter had broken English, but reassured us that there was no chicken base with wheat in the rice or beans. He managed to communicate to us that they use FRESH chicken in it, which is uncommon... most places use a chicken base/paste that contains wheat. After he put our order in, to our surprise, a manager showed up at our table to confirm everything he just said -- This was SOOO impressive and important to us and I truly thank them for this, because it put us more at ease! Prices were reasonable too.
Great staff and lots of tables. I enjoy the art in the restaurant. Wonderful hours. The food was good. It is limited in vegan options. I did enjoy the veggie fajitas. Ask for corn tortillas for gluten free.
Great for catering - we ordered the taco bar for a birthday party and it couldn't have been smoother. Everyone loved the food, even our vegan guest with a gluten allergy was able to enjoy it. Thank you Cafe Corazon, and Nicole!
Love this place. Great food. Always fresh handmade on site. Gives me tons of options to accommodate my allergies and tastes. I can easily eat gluten free, dairy free, and vegan! And no matter how long the line, never wait long.
Fantastic family owned, authentic (as best as an Irishman can tell) Mexican restaurant. We eat here regularly (Chicken Fajitas) and my Wife has a strong Gluten sensitivity; they’re very responsive and she’s never had a problem there! My very favorite are the Seafood burritos, but you better be hungry because the proportions are generous. The table side guacamole service completes the experience.
Great allergy options! Very impressive for this Gluten and Fod Map free gal! Would really like to see a menu in Spanish, at least online. I have a hard time finding the menus at this place. I think they could place them somewhere more obvious. Sometimes service is rock star, other times it is a 4 star. Parking is a real issue for when I try to visit. I think I would go more if I could figure that out.
Just ordered take out for the first time, and wow, we are so impressed! Our food was ready quickly and the order was perfect. I really appreciate the gluten free options, and the beef lomo is definitely something I’ll order again. Will be returning!

Hannah was amazing! She was so cheerful and greeted us with a smile. Our drinks were delivered quickly. We were amazed how fast our food arrived too. The temperature of the food was perfect. My baked fish was seasoned and baked perfectly. Nice job to the kitchen! The coleslaw and tarter sauce are delicious. Sometimes there is too much vinegar at other establishments. It is nice to know there is a gluten free bun for other menu items. The baked apple was the perfect finish for a little sweetness. We had a nice Friday night fish fry night!
