WOW!!! Stopped in and enjoyed every single thing without fear of being glutened. Cheese curds are probably my new fav with hot honey! The wings were decent but the seared tuna with sweet potato were fabulous. The drinks were all good too!
Delicious food. We got the pho (gluten free) and the spare ribs (not gluten free), and Brianna was super helpful with my allergy concerns. Will absolutely go again.
I’ve been going here since I went to Marquette years ago and to go back with celiac and be able to eat gluten free sushi is a win. They mark the gluten free items on their menu and even have gf soy sauce.
Not only is this my favorite pizza in Milwaukee, it’s also my favorite restaurant in Milwaukee. I have a serve celiac allergy and have never gotten sick. I always get their cauliflower crust (instead of the gf one) and it’s AMAZING!!!! Gluten free and vegan. I’ve talked a lot with the owner who knows a lot about the allergy and he told me that they went to a pizza convention to find the best cauliflower crust. They take allergies super seriously here. I 1000% recommend.
I don’t usually leave reviews, but we were pretty bummed with the service today. We went for the Mother’s Day brunch due to most family having celiac disease and seeing good things about the restaurant online. It was $40/person. I was under the impression that everything could be made gluten free based on the ad, but the mac & cheese, French toast, and biscuits were not made gluten free- so we essentially ate $40 eggs, breakfast meats, and fruit. Drinks were not included in the $40 and we did not get our waters until mid-meal after they were forgotten by one person, and we had asked two other waitresses that were around. We saw our waitress once for dessert(which we also waited a while for) and she took 20 minutes to pick up our card after forgetting she had already brought the check. We were frustrated with the automatic 20% service charge when we did not receive any service. We do always tip but this was the worst service we have experienced. I’d get it if they were busy, but we were one of the last reservations of the day and everyone was essentially gone by the time we got there. Unfortunately, I feel like it was a waste of $220 and that we would’ve enjoyed Mother’s Day more elsewhere.
Food was DELICIOUS. My favorite thing was probably the kimchi pancakes. A must try! My husband has Celiac and the server was very knowledgeable about safety precautions and they have a Celiac specific menu. We will definitely be back when we are in Milwaukee again.
Atmosphere was trendy and cool. Servers were nice and accommodating for dietary restrictions. We waited a very long time for food, and it was toward the end of service, so it was unclear why. Food was very good. Spamelette was really unique and flavorful. My stomach was upset for a couple hours after eating though, perhaps from the richness. But my friend was also quite sick after she ate a dish they prepared dairy free, gluten free.
We were on the Michigan side looking for a great restaurant that had gluten free options and this popped up about 50 minutes away. We thought well let’s check it out and super happy we did! This place was amazing. The vibe, service, and the food was all 10/10. I got the fig and prosciutto pizza gluten free and it was fabulous! The server Maerie was so friendly and attentive! If you’re in the area highly recommend you stop and enjoy this place with the vibe and atmosphere!
We ordered a taco bar from the Bayside location for a family event with 45 people. It was a hit with all our guests. We put the final order in on a Monday, and the food was ready on time for pick up on Saturday. Staff took the time to show us how to set up the catering trays so everything stayed warm without burning. The food was on the mild side, which is what we needed for a large gathering. Have some hot sauce ready for spice loving guests. All main dishes were gluten free. Corn tortillas were packed separately from the flour tortillas. My only suggestion would be to label the salsas. We had a couple people doing tasting to figure it out. Overall, I would recommend Jose's Blue Sombrero for an informal event.
Have eaten here for the last 7 years. Once I found out I had celiac disease I was skeptical to try a restaurant because nobody likes being sick. But I had thier baconeator last night with French fries. Let me tell you this was hands down one of the best burgers I have had, and I was stuffed after finishing the burger and fries. Everywhere the burgers are tiny or not filling but these were quite the opposite. I recommend anyone to 11:11. They have something for just about anyone.
Amazing customer service, people were extremely nice and friendly. Food was good and had excellent choices for vegan and gluten free, allergy friendly menu items. Not super expensive either, which is a huge plus so I can come here more regularly.
Only leaving 4 stars because of the water having salt/minerals* and they had to remake my friend’s vegan tacos. Also would add that my mocktail was mostly ice… They were really good about providing allergen free laminated menus with notes.
*Suggestion to restaurant, I know other people have commented about the water. It probably would have been a 5 stars if not for water quality. It just was a gritty tap like taste.
(FYI water snobs in Madison, RED has the best free water served in restaurants)

Do yourself a favor and try this place. Stopped in during a weekend trip to Milwaukee. The gluten free cheese curds were outstanding. As were the bloody mary's, steak & eggs and staff. A great experience. You won't be disappointed.
Food good but to expensive 4 dollar up charge just for a gluten free crust like really most gluten free people don't have a choice not to eat gluten free but you have a choice to be greedy.
Always fresh, friendly and fast. Arrived for lunch around 12:30pm and two of us were seated right away, watered with drink orders taken. A few quick questions and order in for a bunless California burger with sweet potato fries for an extra $1, and a BLT club with fruit were in. Shortly after, order arrived, with a bun. Luckily not celiac so they took it back briefly to remove it and “pretty it up.” So all was well and delicious with leftovers. Have been a long time repeat customer since it was Christina’s.
Waukesha is truly blessed with a vibrant dining scene, and Tofte's Table is a shining example of what makes this city such a great place for foodies. Exceptional doesn’t even begin to describe it! From the moment we walked through the door, we knew we were in for an incredible evening.
The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and intimate. The service? Top-notch. Our server was not only extremely knowledgeable about the menu but also made sure we had everything we needed. And the care they took to accommodate Anne’s gluten-free needs? Absolutely above and beyond. They didn’t just meet expectations; they exceeded them in every way.
Of course, the star of the evening was the food. We decided to go all in with the Chef’s Selection, a seven-course surprise tasting menu. Even though we were a party of four (and one gluten-free), they graciously made it happen for us. Every dish was amazing, both in presentation and flavor. Here’s a taste of what we had:
Duck Confit ‘Tostada’ – Crispy wonton topped with duck confit, shiitakes, bok choy, queso fresco, sesame tomatoes, and hoisin. A perfect start with layers of flavor.
Fried Chicken – This simple dish blew us away! Perfectly crispy drumsticks with coarse mustard, honey, and a maple drizzle. And the gluten-free version for Anne? Absolutely amazing and an unexpected treat. This might have been our favorite of the night!
Tomato & Burrata – Charred roma tomatoes paired with creamy burrata, red onion jam, basil olive oil, and balsamic glaze, served with grilled ciabatta. A fresh and flavorful highlight a real table pleaser.
Wisconsin Kielbasa – Butternut and russet hash, sautéed kale and Brussels sprouts, pickled red cabbage, and coarse mustard aioli. This dish brought together the perfect balance of savory and tangy.
Gulf Shrimp – Sautéed shrimp served over cheese ravioli with a sun-dried tomato cream, sautéed shallots, spinach, red bell peppers, asparagus, and fried parsnips.
Braised Short Ribs – Melt-in-your-mouth short ribs over parmesan risotto, with honey-glazed carrots and radishes in a rich braising reduction. The definition of elevated comfort food.
And for dessert? Sticky Toffee Bread Pudding and a Flourless Chocolate Cake (GF). Both were decadent, indulgent, and the perfect way to end an unforgettable meal.
The evening was nothing short of fantastic, and we can’t thank Jason and Cristina Tofte enough for the impeccable experience they’ve created. From the thoughtful accommodations to the warm, welcoming atmosphere, everything about Tofte’s Table is designed to make you feel at home while treating you to something truly special.
If you haven’t been yet, make a reservation and prepare for an unforgettable evening. Tofte’s Table is not just a restaurant—it’s a destination every foodie needs to visit!
We’ll be back soon!
I love going to People’s Park. They have a good assortment of food and drinks, and the environment all around is fun. The roof-top bar is especially fun! I appreciate them having gluten free options, however, not all of them are truly gluten free as they have shared fryers. While the wings (at least most of the flavors of grilled) are marked gluten free, what they mean is that they’re made without gluten containing ingredients. They’re made in a shared fryer, as are the fries. If you have celiac disease, take caution. The cucumber salad for a side is good! The sundae for dessert is delicious!
The hours are listed online and on the door as opening at 4pm on Saturdays-
Tried calling ahead- no answer. (Called after 4pm)
I was super excited to find a gluten free accommodating place as I have celiac and it is IMPOSSIBLE to find gluten free sushi.
We walked up at 4:10pm -door was locked.
They just stared at us and the person inside rolled her eyes. Just wanted to ask what the updated hours were so we could come back when they *were* open since online and their sign outside weren't up to date...but was ignored. So... not going back.
Got the bbq chicken(7.7) and gluten free pepperoni (9.3, rated by gf). Great crisp and not a lot of grease. Could have used a tad more bbq sauce but overall solid pizza. Gf said the gluten free pizza was some of the best she’s ever had. Great spot and polite waiter.
i’ve been coming here as a regular for a year now, some of the best thai I’ve ever had, meals are lovely, and the staff let you sit and enjoy the meal without interrupting too much, and so many gluten free and vegan options :))
I came here on crutches with a boot on in July, we sat outside on the patio, it was easy to get to, they were accommodating and that new pergola kept me cool in the thick of 90 degree weather. That aside, the service was great and the food… I have been searching for good Caribbean food for a few years now and this is the best I’ve had to date. We had the ahi tuna lettuce wraps and the cast iron chicken (jerked) wrap with shrimp and lobster dip appetizer, I also noted that many dishes were gluten free. Thank you for the great time San Pedro’s Cafe and shout out to my girlfriend for the excellent suggestion! Also, they now have a tapas joint next door that I will need to try. Patios adjoining.
We have eaten here many times. Service is always very friendly and efficient. There is a nice selection of wines and the server and bartender can help you pair wines with your food if you are unfamiliar with some of them. The wood fired pizza is always good no matter what flavor you get. The Burrata appetizer is great to share. The house salad was fresh and a generous portion. They do have gluten free pasta and my gf friend said it was good. We had the flourless chocolate cake for dessert, and it was tasty but on the really light and fluffy side, where we prefer the dense chocolaty type of flourless cake so we were not thrilled with that part. This is a comfortable and enjoyable place to eat.
Great food and drinks, in a fun
and laid back environment. Service was also great and very away of current menu offering and what is and isn’t gluten free.
Amazing drinks and food. Waitress was incredibly knowledgeable on gluten free options. Scallops were amazing, highly recommend! May be the best food in town! Call ahead for reservations.
The gluten-free pizza was outstanding and had it not had a hair in it it would have been perfect, but when I showed them the hair they said sorry and that was it kinda dumb customer service at least I didn't eat it but they didn't charge for that extra topping at least
This place is truly the best spot in Door County. The food is absolutely amazing, no matter what you order. The view, especially during sunset, is unmatched, and the cocktails are terrific. They are also very accommodating for gluten-free and celiac needs. Our server was fantastic in explaining our options and addressing our concerns. We highly recommend the tostadas and tenderloin sliders. The best food we had all week.
I'd rate it more than 5 stars if I could. Fantastic liquor, great cocktails, and great food including vegan/gluten-free options. If you have the time the tour is a must - Tobias was so informative and engaging! This is a distillery that is committed to doing things the best way they can, and it shines through in everything they do.
I went here for a 25th birthday party. Before I go to any restraunts I like to read the good and bad reviews and see if I can notice any of the bad reviews being true. I went here expecting staff to disappear after you ordered, and the seasoning to be terrible, but everything was perfect. The 1 star reviews that say that the seasoning was non existent was wrong. Everything had the perfect amount of seasoning, and was cooked perfectly to Medium rare. I am a critical individual and I can recognize this restraunt for improving their issues and weaknesses. The staff was on their feet checking in, and taking dishes off the table. If I had something bad to say I would, but there is nothing bad! Me and my mother are Gluten-Free and they surprised us with a beautiful chocolate brownie at the end for dessert, even though they didn’t have it on the menu. Best meal. It is up there with Harbor House and Capital Bar and Grille.
Happy our experience at Merchant was as wonderful as usual. We had friends from out of town visiting and wanted to show off Madison's food scene. Cocktails were top notch as was the wine I chose with my meal. I ordered the squash risotto which was excellent, even better than expected. Our table of 8 enjoyed the cheese curds and everyone loved their entrees, including the whitefish, chorizo verde and fried chicken sandwich. The desserts were delicious and our gluten and dairy intolerant guest was thrilled with the chocolate brownie dessert, as was the rest of the table. A great success all around.
I ate here last night and the food was absolutely delicious. The staff was super friendly and did an amazing job accommodating my gluten intolerance and recommending gluten-free menu options
