When I first arrived I asked about the gluten-free burritos and the first thing he said was that they were not a gluten-free restaurant but that they try their best to limit cross-contamination...so I ordered an El Pastor burrito and my husband ordered a steak burrito. I added some of the sauces from the sauce bar like pico de gallo, a spicy sauce, and the avocado sauce. Both of the burritos were delicious, however, 8 hours later both my husband and I were sick. I had severe cramps and diarrhea and my husband had diarrhea as well. This was not our typical reactions to gluten so I believe it was more likely food poisoning. I talked to Alex today about this and he was very apologetic and helpful. he said he could give us a refund but I mentioned to him that what's more important is to figure out why this happened, to make sure no one else gets sick. He told me that no one else got sick the rest of the day, but I reminded him that most people won't call or make the connection. He said that he would talk to the owner about it and make sure everything was kept at the proper temperature. I didn't see if they were using gloves when they filled and folded the burritos, but from now on, I will request that just in case it was a matter of unwashed employee hands... hopefully not. The place seemed clean otherwise, so it shouldn't be that! The music was too loud for us also... that's why I didn't give a 5 star atmosphere rating.
This place is clean, staff are friendly and the food was tasty! Gluten free bread and vegan options available. I ordered the tofu scramble and added a side of chicken apple sausage ($7) a bit pricey .. but I’d definitely go back to hang out in the outdoor patio area for brunch again.
I love otra and it’s a great option for gluten free folks! The waitress was knowledgeable about celiac, cross contamination, and which dishes to avoid. Most of the menu is already gf, but some dishes are thickened with flour (queso, enchiladas) and there is no dedicated fryer (so the chips are not gf). Anything that comes with chips can be subbed for unfried corn tortillas.

Gluten-free detroit style pizza was very good and so was the beer / wine selection. The service, however, was not. Hipster dude with an awful attitude took our order. No smile, no hello, no hospitality.
6 of us were looking for a place with gluten-free options, and Uva came up on the search. We called and were able to get a table right away.
The food was lovingly prepared, and everyone's meal was delicious. The appetizers, salads, and entrees were outstanding. A very nice wine selection. Even though we were filled from dinner, we had the sour cherry tart and espresso for dessert. I highly recommend!
We loved: Dry fried chicken wings with honey glaze, mala chicken, pea sprouts, green beans, mapo tofu, honey walnut shrimp.
They were great at accommodating for gluten free, no-spicy, and lots of vegetarian dishes.
Didn't love: Fried salt pepper squid (crispy outside but squishy inside)
Refined interior, good wait staff.
Relatively expensive.
It's so difficult finding good coffee that tastes as good with oatmilk, and honestly Reveille is the best!
Their oatmilk latte, oatmilk cappucino and iced oatmilk latte are amazing offerings, and I highly recommend them!
I really wish they offered some kind of gluten free bread or gluten free bakery item, because then they'd be perfect!
