Cozy restaurant with some gluten-free breakfast options (omelets and pancakes). The omelets were amazing, very large and with a lot of cheese. I think the bread could have been crispier, but that's the only comment.
We ate here because we could walk in straight from our hotel. We were greeted kindly by a very fast man. But... You have to order via an app unless you have allergies, then walk to the bar yourself. It took 40 minutes for us to get the food. The fish soup was ok. Enough fish but not super tasty. My friend got a gluten-free sirloin dish and that was ok too. There are much nicer places to eat in Tromsø. I would say choose that. And that friendly gentleman did not greet us back when we left. Shame.
Still a great gluten free pizza. If you go on a weekend, prepare to queue. Worth the wait. If you are gluten free, you need to try this place. I had the vegetarian this time but have had pizzas with meat at other Peppes in other cities.
A small restaurant where you can eat very well. We had reindeer with asparagus and potatoes. It was delicious and I can recommend it without reservation. They're also knowledgeable about allergens; when we asked if it was gluten-free, they immediately answered yes. The staff are friendly and attentive. The restaurant is very busy, and you might be asked to leave because it's full. We had a reservation by phone.
Typical hard rock cafe. Has few gluten-free alternatives but the positive thing is that the portions are the same size and the bread doesn't cost any more (a big plus). I ordered cheese fries that were forgotten, and when I asked, I also received them (also not charged "double"). One star is deducted because it is very loud in the restaurant and no one came by for 20-30 minutes after the meal We tried to get attention the whole time, but to no avail so we had to wait a long time to pay (or order dessert).
Had the most wonderful experience at this restaurant. As a vegan, I was super thankful that there were plenty of vegan options and practically everything is gluten free! The food was incredibly good and the pumpkin soup was to die for. I begged the owner for the recipe. The owner and host who also served us was so personable and kind. You need to visit this Ethiopian gem of you are ever in Tromso.
Exciting selection of food and wine. Especially recommend scallops, rockfish and duck. All the food tasted good, somewhat weak bruschetta with pieces of garlic/tomato on the side. Fast and decent service. Asked what the beer "Damn Daura" is, got the answer that it is "gluten-free", no more... It tempts us to meet again!
Raketten Bar & Pølse, established in 1911, is a historic hot dog stand in Tromsø, Norway, renowned for its reindeer and pork hot dogs served on homemade ciabatta buns with various toppings. Despite its small size, often referred to as the world’s smallest bar, it offers a cozy atmosphere with bonfires and music. Visitors praise the friendly staff and the quality of the hot dogs, particularly the reindeer option with classic toppings like fried onions, mustard, and beetroot. The hot wine is also highly recommended. Due to its popularity, expect potential queues, but the experience is considered worth the wait. Gluten-free options are available, with staff taking precautions to prevent cross-contamination. Overall, Raketten provides a unique and enjoyable culinary experience in Tromsø.
Initially a nice place, however I strongly advise against having cocktails served with more ice cubes than drink. I also advise you to be really attentive to the addition which was not exact....in short it was not a good time... Too bad!!!!
Oh yes !!! Very limited choice for a gluten-free person...
Great place for craft burgers and cute atmosphere. Video game themed burger bar, small inside so grab a table if you can. Otherwise take away is an option. Gluten free buns available. Truly exceptional burgers and fries, for a normal Norway price.
We visited several times during our stay in Tromsø. Nyt had great service. The cocktails are delicious. The reindeer burger was cooked well. They were able to accommodate a gluten-free request with a gf bun.
Very tasty Indian restaurant. Almost everything is possible in gluten-free, allergens are clearly visible on the menu. Unfortunately there is no GF naan bread, but you can get more rice without any problem and without a surcharge. The service was great at the beginning, after eating we had to wait a long time until we could pay. The three of them stood behind the buffet talking on their cell phones. It would be difficult to get their attention.
I am allergic to dairy and wheat/gluten. They didn’t hesitate to accommodate me and made my mussels with a coconut milk broth and did separate roasted potatoes and brought gluten free bread. Wine was excellent too. My server was so nice and helpful. Def recommend.
It is excellent that they also think of people who have allergies and have a vegan and gluten free menu. At the same time, allergens are listed for all products. But the price is incredibly excessive. €8.50 for a small cookie. At the same time, tea cost 3.5€. Very high margin for ordinary tea and heated water. Of course, the view is nice.
