Safe for celiacs! They have separate prep areas for their gluten and GF foods, dedicated pans, and make everything from scratch. They have a shared fryer, but serve corn tortilla chips that are made off site in a GF facility.
My favorite burger in town so far! The bun held up for a long time because they toasted it. The fries are delicious too and I love their lavender honey milkshakes. They were very careful with me being gluten free and my food was labeled and on a different tray than the rest of the food from my group. They really seem to care and I’ve gone there about 6 times and have never gotten sick! Also they sell local artwork and as an artist I really appreciate that.
One of the best restaurants in town! Especially for gluten free friendly options. The service really stands out here- all the staff is so accommodating and friendly. Tonight I had a situation where they ran out of an essential element in the meal I ordered. Our server, James, and the owner Heidi were extremely sweet and went above and beyond to make sure I still had a pleasant experience. Thank you!!
Great breakfast food with vegan and gluten free options. Breakfast burrito was excellent. Outdoor or indoor seating. Lots of beverage options including alcohol if wanted. Good choice for breakfast.

I LOVED Rare!! Our server was fantastic and came back a few times just to triple check he got our allergies correct because he kept second guessing himself lol. I appreciated it immensely that he was being so careful.
So many things on the menu are either gluten free by default or can be made gluten free. I’d say almost everything besides like lasagna, gnocchi, and maybe a few other things.
We started with calamari and the Brussels sprouts which were both gluten free and OMG they were divine! Crispy and a little spicy and just delicious. I hadn’t had calamari in about 4 years and that was a real treat. They probably use corn starch because it was very crispy and the chili honey was phenomenal.
Then for my entree I had a gluten free pizza. The crust was 5/5 stars and though it was a thin crust like most gf crusts it was delicious. Pretty sure they made it in-house. They used their own burrata they made that morning, and they make their own sauce which wasn’t super acidic like many canned pizza sauces. Pesto was also made by them.
Everyone at our table (2 of us gluten free) loved our food. The truffle fries from one of our meals were shared and we all loved them because they were so crispy and felt battered but were also gluten free!
I can’t rate them highly enough for the care and attention and quality of the food. We went for happy hour and for 2 appetizers, 4 entrees, and 6 drinks plus a $30 tip we only spent $160ish. That’s incredible for a high end place. Split between 4 people it was well worth it! My only regret is I didn’t take a pic of my pizza because I was so busy devouring it, but here are the calamari and Brussels sprouts.
Amazing Indian food at Taj Mahal! The owners put all the love into their food and you can truly taste it. Their service is fantastic. The gluten free garlic naan is soo tasty, the aloo saag (potato spinach) is incredible! Their Kheer (rice pudding) is great too!
My wife and I had dinner here for our 11th anniversary - just completely pleased. Our waiter, Levi, knew the entire menu A to Z and was able to help my wife make some simple subs to avoid issues with her gluten allergy. The man is a saint. The drinks and food were so good (especially the risotto) that my only gripe is I ran out of space.
Amazing meal with friends and great gluten free options. Kai, our server, absolutely MADE our experience 5+ stars! Looking forward to coming back and trying the new summer cocktail menu.
We recently ate here for the first time and were pleased with the gluten free options and non-alcoholic beverages (the strawberry margarita mocktail is sooo delicious). The restaurant had a good vibe and I was excited to see their more sustainable take-home packaging. All in all, a great experience and we'll be back.
5 stars – Great Gluten-Free Options, Flavorful Food, and Excellent Service!
We had a fantastic experience at Austin’s American Grill! They’re incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to gluten-free dining, with plenty of safe options and careful protocols in place to avoid cross-contamination—which gave us total peace of mind.
The food was cooked to perfection and full of rich, satisfying flavor. Their mixed drinks were also excellent, and the staff’s wine pairing suggestions were spot-on. Everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and well-informed.
Pro tip: Skip the stress of hunting for a street spot and head straight to the Laporte parking garage. It’s just a short walk away and much easier, especially since street parking is time-limited before 6 PM.
If you’re looking for a delicious, safe gluten-free dining experience with great drinks and even better service, Austin’s delivers on every level!
Excellent food! They do take gluten-free seriously, wiping down equipment before preparing a gf meal. The sandwiches are delicious. I highly recommend this place if you have any sort of food allergy.
I would have gave 5 star, but a couple things bothered me. I have celiac disease, so gluten is a no-no for me. I was meeting 5 friends at 6 pm the other night, and I make it a point to ALWAYS check the online menu ahead, to see if there is anything for me gluten free. The menu stated the steaks were GF, one chicken dish, and a few appetizers. Our group talked about ordering some burgers, but there was no mention of GF burger buns on the online menu. So, I tried to call, but they don't man their phones there. I then sent an email about my concerns, and did not hear back before my 6 pm reservation. I always have to decide ahead, whether to eat at home, and meet up with friends on a full stomach, or eat at a restaurant knowing ahead that they have a GF meal that I would order. When I arrived at the place, I was told that they have GF burger buns available, so I was able to enjoy a delicious Colorado burger. It is very annoying to me, and us folks with celiac when restaurants do not have accurate online menus. We really depend on them, as we are trying to make decisions on whether or not we can eat at restaurants. It would be very helpful if you would state that you have GF buns available for your burgers. Thank you.
Japango is everything Fort Collins needed. For years I’ve heard the same universal complaint that we needed good sushi.
Japango is great sushi. I love that the rolls aren’t overdone and over sauced. The rolls also have thoughtful ingredients - one of my favorite rolls has orange zest and sake butter on top for example.
You can really tell that the sushi chefs take pride in their rolls and everything always comes out beautifully plated. They also carry a new feature list each week that offer special cuts like Kanpachi, Otoro, Aji as an example.
There’s a huge list of yummy hot items like gyozas, lobster potstickers, pork belly and chicken teriyaki to name a just a few.
The aesthetics of Japango are also stunning. There’s a live jelly fish tank and a private glass room for larger parties. I love the details in all the glassware, the plates and how the building always feels cozy, open, airy.
Lastly the bar is impressive. Each cocktail provided is so special and curated perfectly.
They have a huge Japanese whiskey collection and a very impressive lineup of cold sakes and non-alcoholic beverages. They also offer a huge list of hot teas and Japanese beers. I don’t know anywhere in Fort Collins that provides this kind of beverage menu that benefits everyone in this fashion.
Japango has a kids menu, provides options for those who are celiac and gluten free, vegetarians and vegans. If you’re looking for an experience it’s right here - quality always takes time and any wait is always worth it.
The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is nice, thus the two stars, but that’s where the positives end. Minimal gluten free options. Our food was cold and very bland. Staff was smoking near the back door and that was unappetizing. Will not be back.
I went to the Fort Collins Hu Hot the other night with some friends and had a great experience. I was a bit concerned going there because I am mostly gluten free but the staff was really helpful with my experience. I had am employee named Juliet go back and grab me some rice noodles from the back fridge because I was concerned with cross contamination. She walk through the line with me and pointed out stuff that was gluten free, she was very helpful! I would definitely go back, even with my allergy, because the staff was so great :)
Cute breakfast diner with good basic food. We got the specials and enjoyed them. The coffee is fine, nothing special. Cute back patio with lots of shade. Did offer some gluten free options.
