Really delicious food in a great setting and atmosphere! I’m coeliac and they were great for communicating with me what dishes were gluten free. Menu clearly labelled with gluten free options and everything I had was incredible! So good we came back a second time to try more of the menu!

Tacos Gardenias has the best tasting, most authentic tacos that I have ever eaten in my life. Our host, Bravo, is our favorite person we have met this trip. My partner has celiac disease so finding food that doesn't have wheat/gluten or cross contamination on this trip to Cabos has been quite the challenge. Bravo assured us that there were separated areas where they prepared things with gluten, and another area for things without gluten. They also serve breakfast in the morning! I have to mention the guacamole, it was the freshest best guacamole I've ever had the pleasure of tasting. My partner ate everything and felt great afterwards, as well as the rest of us on this trip; we will probably make another trip to this restaurant before going back home. I can't speak highly enough of Tacos Gardenias, it was the highlight of our trip to Cabo San Lucas and the marina.
As a disclaimer, this may not be the fairest review, as I am writing this for 3 different visits. Our first was in 2023, with the 2nd in 2024, and the most recent one in June on 2025. Thus, my scoring is reflective of all 3 visits, which is a bit tricky, as our first 2 were much better than our last.
This place is awesome, and serves Chicago-style Italian food. The decor and ambience are amazing, with the restaurant being nestled in an adorable semi-outdoor patio/terrace type area. It’s littered with vibrant plants, and has a romantic, hanging garland lights vibe.
The food feels like Italian-American fare, and was absolutely delicious our first 2 visits. The portion sizes are enormous (1 entree will often feed 2), and they tend to pack bold flavors. The menu offers variety, without being huge or overwhelming. Each day has a special, which often tend to be the star of the night.
Jesus was our waiter during our last visit, and he was attentive and fun. I think Christian is maybe their GM, and he offers a great mix of professionalism and entertainment. These folks seem to really care about taking care of their guests!
The meals we had the first 2 times were excellent, wowed us, and my wife who has Celiac’s found GF options that kept her satisfied. The food was delightful.
Unfortunately, the food this last time was pretty disappointing. The bread smelled and tasted a bit stale, the salad had half-sliced pears that we had to somehow rip apart, and both our entrees tasted kinda funky. To be quite fair, Jesus asked us if everything tasted okay, but we have a bad habit of not wanting to hurt people’s feelings, and always seem to say “yes”. I have no doubt that they would have replaced our meals if we had asked, but we hate being “those people” (I guess I am “that person” in writing this review…). My wife even felt like she got a bit sick from the food, so I’m not exactly sure what was going on back there in the kitchen that night.
We will definitely give this place another chance in the future, and are hopeful that our experience was just an off night for one of the chefs. We’d still very much recommend this place, and bet that our next experience will resemble our first 2 visits :)

YES, absolutely love this place! If I could have afforded to eat here every day I would have. I gave four stars for service since one server didn't understand me when I asked for gluten free options and I had to wait for him to track someone down who did know more. It's absolutely charming, right on the beach, and a peaceful getaway from the casa Dorada next door. It's just across the Alley street from casa Dorada, and feels like an entirely different world. It was our mini peaceful escape from the chaotic beach medano beach has become, and they've done an incredible job with the environment/vibes and also the food is healthy and tastes amazing 🤩

The food is good but seems over hyped for being listed as the number 1 restaurant on TripAdvisor. We definitely had better food at other places in cabo.

What a great evening. We all did the 5 course. They subbed some excellent gluten free options for one of our party. All 5 courses were great, cocktail was great too. Veiw was spectacular. Price was on point with the quality and service, probably would have been more back home. Would recommend and if I come back to Cano I'd go again.
Excellent - such a beautiful garden and you can see all the beautiful fruit growing. Service was outstanding. Not too many gluten free options but still a handful to choose from! Would be great if they had gluten free bread to choose from. Was absolutely stunning and perfect for children, the food we had was amazing. Goat burrito and mocha French toast and granola bowl. 10/10!
We had an amazing time at the Los Barriles restaurant in Cabo. My Fiance is gluten free and they were eager to help with her allergies. The service was some of the best we've had and the food was delicious. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful lunch at Solomon's landing after our snorkeling tour. The restaurant is located right on the Pier. The fish was delicious. The menu has items listed as gluten free. Service was fast and servers were friendly.
Amazing food!! So good I took another Uber from the resort the next day to bring my mother to eat there. Great staff. Knowledgeable with food allergies (husband, daughter and mom are celiac) kind staff and amazing service. You won’t be disappointed ❤️ chicken finger and fries for the less adventurous kids. Guacamole is pure heaven. Chicken with crab was to die for!!!
Everything was Spectacular, The Service was friendly , superb, the menus was well explained and had great variety with gluten free options, the dishes were huge ,& plentiful and so delicious tasted home made not restaurant style.

Second time we have been to Toro. Love the atmosphere. Love the ambiance. Food has been excellent both times. Great DJ. He had really good music 🎶. Staff is on the ball. Cauliflower dish and the beet salad both were delicious. Also the shrimp and crab enchilada was excellent. I have Celiac and dairy intolerance and the staff and kitchen were super attentive to my needs. The Gluten free bread they brought to the table was fabulous. A very good SPECIAL OCCASION place to go.
Delicious food & Francisco, our waiter, was so friendly and personable. I avoid gluten and he made sure to accommodate my preference. We ate here for breakfast & the food was so good that we came back for lunch. I had the fish ceviche, which was really yummy, and a mango salad. My husband had the corn creme soup, tender pork for main & orange flan for dessert. All were superb! We will be back.
