The food was delicious, as always, and everything was freshly prepared! We love coming here whenever we're up north! Friendly staff! Also good for people with celiac disease!
Always happy to come back!
+ The nice, cozy outdoor area
+ The selection and taste of the cakes
+ Everything is gluten-free
+ Milk alternatives for coffee
BUT
- Price for a slice of cake
- €1 surcharge for oat milk
If you drink a cappuccino with oat milk, you pay €5.20. So you pay for the milk like you would for a regular cappuccino – but there's no cow's milk at all – plus a €1 surcharge. A cappuccino contains approximately 80 ml of milk, and 1000 ml (1 l) of Barista oat milk costs approximately €2.50.
Therefore, in my opinion, the price premium is unjustified.
We discovered this restaurant through the DZG (German Celiac Society) website. Eating out with a child with celiac disease is unfortunately a huge challenge... But there's something for everyone here!
They have a fantastic selection of dishes, and many are gluten-free.
If you have any questions, the chef or the wait staff are immediately available to answer any questions.
We really felt very well looked after.
The portions are generous enough for a big appetite. And luckily, they also offer gluten-free ice cream for dessert. We will definitely be back! It's worth the extra drive.
We really thank the team for their dedication. :)
Super delicious crepes, also available in gluten-free (with buckwheat flour) and baked on separate crepe irons upon request (for celiac disease/gluten intolerance). They also offer extra Nutella (without risk of contamination).
The owners are super friendly :)
Lovely pizzeria with a very pleasant atmosphere and good food.
My companion really enjoyed the gluten-free pizza.
There were a few minor things that weren't so good, but nothing worth mentioning.
I highly recommend this restaurant and would go back anytime.
The cheesecake is simply delicious – creamy, fresh, and absolutely enormous! And the best part: it's even gluten-free, which was a wonderful surprise. The service was very friendly and helpful, and you immediately feel welcome. Add to that the stunning view – all in all, a perfect place for a little escape. We'll definitely be back!
We've had coffee and cake here many times. I'm allergic to wheat, and they even have gluten-free cakes. Everything is absolutely delicious. They also serve takeaways when the child is sick. Keep up the good work.
A true gem on Föhr! The tea rooms impress with a cozy Frisian atmosphere and an impressive selection of teas. Fresh waffles and homemade cakes that change daily - also vegan, lactose- and gluten-free - pamper every palate. The friendly, attentive service completes the experience. Whether indoors or outdoors, tea lovers and cake lovers will find their paradise here. Absolutely recommended!
Highly recommended!
There are great gluten-free alternatives for an additional €1. The dishes are delicious and reasonably priced. The ice cream is also recommended. The café is close to the bus stop.

Super tasty noodles, both “normal” and gluten-free versions at no extra charge. The two owners are super nice and know about contamination for those affected by celiac disease and put together an individual dish.
Gluten-free pizza of your choice is available for a surcharge, nice place and staff, fast service.
Pizza was tasty, although there could be a bit more seafood on it :).
In any case, I'd love to come back!
A lovingly furnished café where nothing seems to fit together, but that's why everything is right. There is a changing selection of cakes and tarts and a selection of breakfast options. There is a selection of gluten-free and vegan dishes.
Coca Cola is deliberately avoided and collected for the Café Tafel.
A café where everyone should feel comfortable :)
A very friendly restaurant. With very friendly service. Prices are good.
There is also vegan and gluten-free food.
But unfortunately wheelchair accessible. Steps may make wheelchair access difficult
The food was very good, the service was incredibly friendly and there was also a large selection of gluten-free food available! Many thanks to the team for the good dinner!
We were warmly welcomed with 4 adults and our two children. The children are 10 and 11 and were warmly welcomed and just as warmly served and looked after the whole time.
Since one of our children suffers from celiac disease, we had already mentioned this when making the reservation. That was also completely unproblematic, there was a gluten-free breaded schnitzel for our daughter and she was very enthusiastic.
Overall our visit was really nice. The staff are warm and cheerful and will make you have a great time. The food is high quality and really tasty.
The location itself is cozy and visually really appealing. It wasn't too loud and you could have a great time here.
Thank you very much for the great evening, we would love to come back! All the best to the entire team 🫶🏻🍀

Extremely friendly service and our request for gluten-free food (due to celiac disease) was taken into account in an exemplary manner. The food was delicious all around. Thank you for this lovely gastronomic experience!
I was very surprised by the great restaurant. it's so inconspicuous. When you come from the street you wouldn't think so, especially because it's right next to the sports field in the athletes' home. The food was really great, especially there were even gluten-free buns 😍.
We were there on a Friday evening, the shop was pretty busy, but it wasn't too loud so we could eat and chat in peace.
Friendly and quick service with great service.
I would love to come back again, 😊
I was here today with my son Leif, on a motorcycle tour from Dithmarschen to Dagebüll.
I have a gluten allergy.
They have all kinds of gluten-free burgers here.
Highly recommended and delicious. The buns for the hamburgers are prepared and baked in-house.
I've never seen or experienced anything like this in all the decades I've had this allergy/intolerance.
It was a real treat, a real treat!!
I'll be back!!!
Thank you so much for thinking of us.
Best, Harald Mahn
So great that the team thought about it because the gluten-free bread wasn't delivered and found a nice, tasty alternative...very attentive staff and delicious food
Celiac disease? - Taken seriously here and no problem. Delicious steak, baked potato and oil and vinegar brought to the table to make your own. Very nice service.
We always like it very much!
Since we always have a person with celiac disease with us, we are very happy that there is both gluten-free pizza and gluten-free pasta.
Unfortunately, the menu stored here is no longer current. In particular, unfortunately there is no longer any gluten-free pizza here! Really looks disappointing...
A special dining experience with great service. Our skewers were amazing, and the gluten-free stick bread for our child was something truly special. Thank you, especially to the wonderfully friendly service staff. We'd love to come back.
A gluten-free burger paradise on Sylt!
What a stroke of luck! This burger joint in Wenningstedt is an absolute insider tip – especially for those who rely on a gluten-free diet. Finally, a place where you don't feel like you're missing out. The gluten-free burger buns are amazing – fluffy, delicious, and in no way inferior to the "regular" ones. And even the burger sauce is completely gluten-free! They truly pay attention to every detail here.
You can tell right away: The owners are passionate about their job. They are incredibly friendly, personable, and always strive to make every guest feel comfortable. Whether they have intolerances or special requests, you feel understood and in good hands here.
A true paradise for burger fans – not just for people with gluten intolerance. Highly recommended!
Unfortunately, we didn't have a good experience with our visit this time. Unfortunately, the taste of the salad was not convincing - next to the salad there were also wobbly mushrooms and perhaps some taste problems. Canned champions were there, which overall didn't seem very appetizing. The consistency of the meat was also rather tough and didn't seem fresh. The portion of the salad was also quite small and was reminiscent of packaged goods and not washed. The fact that it wasn't tasty was accepted without a word.
Another point that is important to us: My one daughter eats gluten-free - unfortunately there was no alternative such as gluten-free pasta. In this day and age, we would have liked to have been more considerate of intolerances.
In addition, another dish with extra sauce was ordered, which was unfortunately ignored. When asked, this was not discussed further, which was a shame. Unfortunately, my daughter couldn't enjoy the food.
Overall, it was an expensive visit and unfortunately we left hungry. We hope that something will change in terms of quality and service in the future, because the atmosphere is actually very nice - the potential is definitely there.
Great place to stay. No matter whether high season or low season. All the staff were super friendly and great food and drinks. The homemade ice cream is super delicious. Also have gluten free waffles. My wife thought they were great!
Since I come from the restaurant industry myself, it shocks me even more.
I fully understand that when tables are reserved, they don't get filled – but!
I find it outrageous that the only restaurant that serves gluten-free dishes, and that I can visit despite my celiac disease, treats its guests like this.
In the restaurant, we were told that unfortunately, there was no room left (we noticed her looking at the free table).
Unfortunately, there was nothing we could do, so my pregnant wife, and my three-year-old had to leave the restaurant.
15 seconds after us, three girls arrived (one more person), who also didn't have a reservation, but were seated immediately. They announced at the door that the place looked very full and they certainly wouldn't be able to get a seat.
That was the last time I visited the restaurant.
Food itself is good, but service absolutely sucks. Waited over 30 minutes for 2 pizzas and ultimately didn't even get what I ordered, with the reason being "the gluten-free version is quicker". In addition, other customers who came afterwards had already received their food (also pizzas) just cheekily. In addition, you notice that even pre-orders were not fulfilled on time, if you are too overwhelmed, you should think about it.
