Great example of a Connecticut lobster "shack". They serve Connecticut style lobster rolls, they have a gluten free roll too, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you have too. The rolls are pricey but it's lobster after all. The seating area is limited , so choose your time wisely, I would avoid when church gets out, as it's popular with a few churches close by.
It's been years since I've had arancini and this place is the first I've seen to offer it gluten free. In fact, many of their dishes can be made gluten free, like the fried artichoke hearts (pictured). The drinks and food weren't bad, LOVE the ambience / decor (earthy/garden/boho vibes). Outdoor seating available. We will be back, yes I will be bringing friends.
The food is always fresh and delicious! I have food allergies and I’ve never had an issue here. They are very good about gluten free options and are kid friendly. We order take out from her and dine in about the same amount and have always been very pleased with the service. We love Land of Thai!
If you are looking for a great meal Nataz in Clinton is fabulous. With only a few extra appetizers to choose from the rest of the menu is prix fixe. Starting with a cheese plate for the table you can choose mozzarella and tomato or a cheese platter. We opted for the mozzarella. Large thick slices sandwiched between tomato slices. After that you get a choice of 2 salads. I had the Signature salad. Then choices of lobster and crab, 6 types of steak, chicken etc. Something for everyone. Followed up with various dessert options from tiramisu to flourless chocolate torte. Rich, chocolate wedge similar to fudge. BYOB with a small cork fee. Pictures are hanger steak, lobster and crab and their scallop special. Gluten free was not a problem. Service was excellent.
Pizza is one of my favorite foods; not only because I'm Italian, but because pizza is an amazing food, all around. The first time I visited Grand Pizza Shoreline, I felt so welcomed by the staff and owner--they treat you like family from the moment they first meet you. Everyone was so fun, kind, and focused on making sure I had everything I needed/wanted. The pizza was So good and hit the spot! I really appreciate that they also offer a gluten-free pizza option--which, by the way, tasted awesome too :)
Good place! I usually go to Abbott's, but decided to try a new lobster shack today. Glad I did. This place is very, very intuitive when it comes to those with celiac's disease, using a new company's rolls for those who are GF. My bride informed me the rolls here are the best around. Combine that with hearty portions of lobster meat, good sides and a fantastic view...it's a winning combination that ensures I'll be back. Great work, Shanks. You've offered an exceptionally good alternative to the very busy and difficult to find Abbott's.
