My favorite pizza franchise in LA
The cauliflower crust is a solid gluten free option only coming in medium size so plan for that.
We always get the veggie pizza with added feta and last time tried the chicken sausage pesto pizza but we sub the grilled chicken in instead of the sausage. Really enjoyed this one and just ordered both of these again.
We love the gluten free chicken bites too!
Great food and service!
Super friendly staff comes by with a cheese grater or anything else you like but before you've even thought to ask. Gluten free options, service dog welcome, paperdalle with Italian sausage was excellent. Aanrader / recommended!
I've been to this place several times and it's always outstanding. If you only get take out, you're missing out because the customer service here is phenomenal. You're always treated like a valued friend and the staff is exceedingly friendly and personable.
And the food? My absolute favorite Indian spot in L.A., hands down. I love me some chicken tikka masala and theirs is excellent- I've tried all three spicy levels and even the hottest one has great flavor beyond the heat. The samosas, both vegetable and meat, are delicious. The lamb coconut curry is so tender. Typically I HATE tamarind sauce at Indian restaurants, but I very much enjoy theirs at Masala House.
I can't recommend this place highly enough.
1/21/2023 Edit:
We just had a birthday party for my GF here and I had to update my review. I wish I could add another star! The last time I was there I talked to the owner Saleem about having a party there for 25 people. He said to just call him a day or two ahead. Being a little paranoid I called two weeks before, planned out a fixed menu and got an estimate. I went in the week before the party to pay for it, and he called the day before the party to confirm. As always, the food was fantastic- many of the guests told us later that it was the best Indian food they'd had, and would definitely be going back.
The service was again, stellar. Two of my friends are gluten intolerant; when Saleem brought out the naan bread and offered it to them, and found out they couldn't have gluten, he went back and returned with some gluten free option just for them. Similarly, when we were serving the birthday cake and he offered them pieces, and they declined, he said "everyone should have something for dessert, let me bring you some pistachio ice cream."
The food is always great here, but I'm telling you, the level of service and human warmth from the owner is just on a whole other level. A truly kind and decent man that deserves for this place to be revered.
Delicious food and incredibly attentive service. We love to celebrate at this restaurant. They are one of the few places that are able to accommodate our large family and diverse dietary needs. Between us we have; vegetarians, Celiacs, but allergies and those who eat it all. The kabobs are fresh and juicy, the rice options are all full of flavor and unique from one another and the multitude of salads were each flavorful and a good introduction to the meal. We will definitely be back!
As someone with gluten and dairy issues, I never eat fast food. However Chick-fil-A has gluten-free options. The grilled chicken with a gluten-free bun is great. Or go protein style! They also have salads and fruit bowls. So you can eat somewhat healthy fast food. As for service, be patient with new trainees. Fast food does have a high turnover rate, especially with new Summer hires. The staff does a great job overall. Be aware of the ten cent bag fee. Also be careful navigating the parking lot. You cannot make a left into parking from Ventura Blvd. It's best to take the Winnetka freeway exit.
This place is so great!! The plates are HUGE, it’s a great deal for what you pay and the food is so so delicious. I got a chicken kabob plate and my partner got a chicken schwarma plate and all of it was great. We also got a side of falafel and it was hands down the best falafel either of us have ever had. I’m also celiac so it was nice seeing what things were gluten free as well. This place is such a gem and we will definitely be coming back!
Great food, good staff they are super nice.
Prices and portions are awesome. This is my Togm go spot for Thai food. They have vegetarian options and gluten free options :)
Best IHop EVER! Wonderful staff, you can tell good ownership. Food is always perfect. I have a gluten allergy, I love the gf pancakes! This location is always clean and professional.
BEWARE!!! this place lies and deceives people - on multiple fronts - even down to the manager/owner himself! worst of all, i clarified pre order that the beef koobideh (luleh) is all beef (i do NOT eat lamb, i can’t), to which the owner said it was mostly beef and some lamb… yet it is advertised as all “USDA Prime, Charbroiled Seasoned Prime Ground Sirloin.” that’s a quote directly from their own menu. it upsets me especially because my family has been going to this restaurant for years, even back when the tarzana location was open. i have ordered this on multiple occasions and been lied to every time i verify. upon telling this to the owner of encino, he rudely says that is impossible and they would never say that it was 100% beef, that all beef luleh has never been an option, and it has always had lamb in it. they also add a service charge (18% tip) and still attempt to guilt you into tipping more, even though they often have poor service. i am pretty sure i have even told the restaurant in the past that i am allergic to lamb… i no longer trust this restaurant due to its repeated lies (all beef, gluten free guarantee, unnecessary fees, etc) and no shame regarding being exposed for such on multiple occasions by different people, instead the boss is very arrogant and refuses to admit to being wrong in any situation that has arisen. i feel disrespected and manipulated by a restaurant i used to be loyal to (past tense now).
