We visited for the second time last week and again had the best experience! Our server, K, did an excellent job. Our children declared their gluten free pancakes and French Toast to be the best they've ever had, the portion sizes were huge, and my parents were thrilled with the relaxing environment and the calm oldies music playing. The only thing I would recommend is listing the gluten free upcharge amount on the menu. Otherwise, everything was perfect and we look forward to going back!
Excellent gluten-free pizza options. The cauliflower crust is round and larger than the square option that's more deep dish style. Just depends how hungry you are. Take out or order at the counter to dine in. Enjoy!
We recently visited this restaurant with high hopes, as they advertised gluten-free options. However, our experience was extremely disappointing, especially as a family with a child who has celiac disease. While they do offer gluten-free options for adults, they refused to accommodate our simple request for a smaller portion from their regular gluten-free menu for our daughter. It wasn't as if we were asking for anything extraordinary or off-menu – just a smaller serving size, which should be a basic request any decent restaurant could handle. The lack of flexibility and unwillingness to make even the slightest accommodation for a child with specific dietary needs was frustrating and disheartening. This restaurant clearly does not prioritize the needs of families, particularly those with children who have dietary restrictions. We won't be returning and would not recommend this place to anyone in a similar situation.
One of the last things I expected in this touristy town would be fantastic Jamaican food. What an amazing surprise which we have determined to be one of our favorite meals during our trip up North.
We carried out and ate at a picnic table since we had our dog with us, but the 2 women working were amazingly helpful and kind. There are numerous gluten free selections (I am celiac), and the flavors are out of this world.
We shared the curried goat and jerk chicken and sides of the sauteed vegetables, plantains, rice and beans, and a refreshing salad.
We are now contemplating coming back for dinner to try more. Yes, THAT GOOD!
