Sadly I couldn’t take more pictures after I realized we ate everything else first, but to be honest their story and history as a business in Middleton, MD says so much more than I ever could share on here.
Order:
- Macchiato, Tall, Cold with caramel drizzle and cream
- Macchiato, Short, Hot
- Spanakopita (feta cheese with spinach)
- Breakfast bagel sandwich (egg, sausage, cheese)
- GF Lemon Curd Cheese Cake
Everything was, in general, delicious. I wish I can be more elaborate but I was dumbfounded by the decorations, the incredibly comfortable indoor furniture with beautiful wooden tables, the soft music, and loving atmosphere.
So many gluten free options between pastries and breakfast items, incredible assortment of coffees and you can even purchase whole bean bags of coffee so you can make it at home.
I’m just visiting, but I adore Beans & Dreams! Need to hit them up at least one more time before I leave. Thank you so very much!!!
Amazing Chesapeake Benedict!: very friendly and charming restaurant. Full menu and bar. Not just coffee. Stephanie was a great server. She made hot chocolate without milk for my friend. They also have gluten free Chesapeake Benedict.
This may be my 3rd visit over the years. This is a great date night option. Food is good. Portions are huge. Gluten-free options marked on the menu. The sangria flight portions were fulfilling, 4 large sized cocktail glasses, the sangria was a little sweeter than I desired, but after ordering i realized I prefer Henny sangria and could have added a shot and been happy. The sangria flavors were mojito, pomegranate, blackberry and strawberry; we preferred the mojito sangria. Our server was very attentive, kind and hospitable. I wish I got his name. He worked tonight at the hostess stand and served us.
They kicked us off with salad and bread. Then, we ordered the firecracker shrimp flatbread for our Beginnings, which had a nice spice kick; I was one and done. My husband ordered the Southern Italian Platter; he really enjoyed it. I ordered the Maryland crab soup and the New York Strip Italiano (gluten free) and I subbed the roasted potatoes for asparagus. We both took food home.
We will be back.
Everything about Dempsey’s exceeds expectations. The menu and ingredients are incredibly thoughtful. Everything down to the seasoning is made in house. The desserts are to die for - special shout out to the cheesecakes. I tried strawberry, original and blueberry - all were fantastic but the blueberry has a special place in my heart. This is an outstanding family owned and ran business that supports diversity and inclusion. They have choices for everyone - comfort food, gluten free options, diabetic options, you name it. I will certainly be back and recommend to all. Good people, good food.
