This was a gluten free need for me , but was not let down . The food and everything was fantastico ! Highly recommended . Quiet , away from the busy streets …. Great on a hot day & speak English ok. Ian
Papèo is the best pizzeria (even gluten-free) in Bologna, without a doubt!
The selection of doughs is incredible: even for gluten-free you can choose between classic, sourdough, cereals and seeds, hemp or Neapolitan version. Each pizza is made with top ingredients and great care, and for each one a beer is also recommended to pair, a detail that really makes the difference.
The place is welcoming and the staff is super prepared and kind, very attentive to the needs of those with intolerances.
An experience not to be missed, even for those who are not celiac.
The only sore point is the location: a bit inconvenient and out of the center. But it is absolutely worth it!
Booked for five people for a summer Sunday lunch to spend time with family and grandma.
The service is so excellent, attentive and friendly waiters.
Good atmosphere with small attractions for children even if in summer it is difficult to stay outside due to the heat.
The food pleasantly surprised me especially for the attention they have for celiacs and gluten intolerants. All very good even if not excellent.
Five of us (two children included) took first or second course + side dish + dessert + coffee spending €28/person, I would say quite good.
Thanks to all the staff, we will definitely return opening in an equally positive experience!
The best gluten-free pizza dough we've ever tried! The pizza dough is homemade, and they have separate workshops and ovens for gluten-free options, making it perfect for celiacs. The mortadella pizza was delicious!
In the center of Bologna, very convenient, with tables both inside and under the portico. They make piadinas and pinzas with gluten free dough. The staff is very kind and fast.
Excellent Bavarian cuisine restaurant. Excellent gluten-free dishes, with an example in the photo and a location adhering to the AIC. Equipped with ample parking and children's space.
What can I say... delicious gluten-free pizza... very nice and welcoming location... excellent service and impeccable welcome... strong point the waitress Chiara... a polite person, very nice, sunny and fun... highly recommended...
Parsit is the place that every celiac would like to have in their city.
A welcoming and clean place, with a wide menu, the owners are simply fantastic, their smiles warm the heart!
I went there two days in a row during a short stay in Bologna and I tried the traditional Kebab, the one with Pastrami and a plate of Falafel.
The products are very good, the portions are generous and the attention to gluten-free is very high; although the place does not have a separate kitchen I have not had any problems in any of my visits.
If you are in Bologna and above all you are celiac, this stop is a must, you will not regret it!
Starting from the food I can say that I didn't try it because after ordering a gluten-free pizza for 8.30pm it didn't arrive. After several return calls at 10.15pm I was told that the rider rang and couldn't find me at home and that the place was closing and they couldn't do anything anymore. It created a lot of inconvenience as a celiac guest did not eat. This place will never have an order placed by me again.
This restaurant was recommended by The Guardian and it's reviews were good. We arrived without a reservation and were able to sit outside.
Service was friendly and prompt. We had gluten free pasta Ragu which was very tasty and pasta cooked perfectly. My husband had sausage pasta which was also nice but pasta was a little too al dente but still tasty.
I didn't fancy any of the desserts as only the chocolate cake was gluten free and I'm not a fan of chocolate cake. They did offer to do me a bowl of strawberries, which were delicious and very large portion. Wine and local beer very good and service good. Bill came to €50. Would definitely recommend.
As a celiac I was excited to try a gluten free restaurant in Italy and was not disappointed. The owners were so welcoming and explained the whole menu to us. Also great that my son could have gluten pasta. I had freshly made tortellini al ragu, something you’d never get gf anywhere! And it was amazing! Also on offer were gf beer. And a great selection of wines!
We came across it by chance but we were really surprised, the place was lovely and the staff were very knowledgeable and very kind. The food was really excellent and with different choices for vegetarians, vegans and celiacs.
Recommended house wines
This prosciutto shop can be a typical place to enjoy excellent platters of cured meats and cheeses, also waiting for the gluten free. Characteristic place
Everything was perfect, on the menu there was an entire page dedicated to gluten-free, impeccable staff, wonderful hospitality and service, our compliments to those who were able to create such a simply perfect team. We found our point of reference in Bologna with an unusual quality/price ratio
This was a truly perfect meal, I could not recommend it more! Wanted to try everything on the menu but couldn't be more pleased with what we got! (Tortellini en brodo, ragu, lasagna on special, gramigna with sauage) They also had delicious gluten free pasta for those needing. The staff was so kind and welcoming. Call for a reservation!
I celebrated my graduation in this restaurant with family and friends. All the courses were delicious and plentiful, the owner and the waiters were uniquely kind and helpful. They are also available for those with dietary restrictions, in fact two of us were vegetarians and one was gluten intolerant and they also offered us some very good options. Advise!
Good sushi, slightly above the average for all you can eat in the city. They present a large variety of dishes and are very attentive to gluten-free (which can be indicated via the ordering tablet).
Really lovely cafe, lush cosy queer-friendly vibes. Soft jazz in the background. Lots of locals (probably students) quietly working on laptops to one side of the cafe. We had a delicious savoury tart (vegan and gluten free) as their kitchen is closed between 3.30 and 7pm so couldn’t have proper lunch, but there is counter cakes and tarts available when the kitchen is closed. Tasty kombucha options and they do matcha lattes which seem hard to across in Bologna. Great spot!
Fabulous little place in the center of Bologna, super suitable for celiacs, we ate the real small gluten-free Bolognese tortellini with parmesan cream. Very friendly staff and owner. Ballanzoni and tagliatelle Bolognese, not for celiacs, fabulous and also an appetizer of cold cuts and fried gnocco equally phenomenal.....go there, it's worth it...really
Good pizza, prices a little higher than the Bolognese standard. Type of dough and pizza height as desired: low, medium or high. They don't do gluten-free pizzas but they have two lactose-free ones. Staff not always friendly and very detached in attitude.
Unfortunately they no longer make gluten free pizza which was really good. The dough was good and the pizzas were well seasoned, unfortunately it happened several times that they took a long time or got some ingredients wrong.
Options for celiacs! Finally a celiac can eat a sandwich like all other human beings by choosing the same ingredients from the menu as a normal gastric person! Interesting place, inspired by the tradition of the city, but, at the same time, modern. Ideal for a pleasant stop. Cost for gluten-free sandwich and half a liter of water €9.10, I would say on average for prices in this no longer cheap city...
It is an enchantment of aromas and flavours, nothing to do with other Greek restaurants in Bologna, a little place sheltered by large lime trees which also make being outside pleasant. Inside there are few well-studied furnishings and a family atmosphere. We were served by the very sweet and loving owner who communicates passion and love for the quality of her dishes. Excellent attention and care also for gluten free, and excellent choice of dishes. I left happy to have been there and with the desire to return as soon as possible. Five stars are too few!!! ❤️
Traditional pizzeria and restaurant serving fish, meat and Bolognese. Very large, refined and varied menu. Opening with wide opening hours and without strong closing restrictions.
Relaxed environment and welcoming, kind service.
The pizzas are made with a dough leavened for many hours, and therefore light, not very salty and digestible. The number of pizzas on offer is infinite and caters for all tastes.
Dishes of all kinds, from vegetables to fish, from meat to flawless Bolognese traditions.
Even desserts all homemade (starting with sponge cake).
Attention to special diets. Pizzas for milk intolerants, celiacs, and more.
They also present dishes that are not on the menu at the moment: be careful to taste the Gragnano pasta with tomato when they have it.
Highly recommended.
Considering that I don't like fast food, the sandwich here is much better than McDonald's. There is also something gluten-free: they say there is a risk of contamination, but the celiac boy who serves the tables explains the presentation calmly and confidently (we never felt sick).
I discovered "l'antica trattoria del cacciatore" during the long search for the perfect restaurant for my wedding. I visited so many where I ate and had estimates prepared for more than 100 guests. When Stefano (the owner) welcomed me and my wife at the entrance I immediately felt at home. Stefano is an exceptional man, he welcomed us like no other restaurateur had done before. He listened to our needs and immediately did his best to accommodate us from all points of view. The place is large, clean and welcoming and the team that works at the restaurant is always kind and smiling. Of the 106 guests there was everything: vegans, vegetarians, celiacs, nickel and gluten intolerant, those who did not eat pork and those with a ketogenic diet. Stefano managed to satisfy everyone's needs by personally stopping to ask each one what they preferred to eat and what else they wanted until they were full. The place also has live music so everyone had fun dancing too. The menu included a buffet, appetizers, 3 first courses, 2 second courses, fruit, dessert, cake and a bar area for liqueurs and coffee. The cake was prepared by them and not brought by us. We had received estimates from other places that cost almost double and did not include all these dishes. All 106 guests were happy and satisfied with the lunch. Not all the characters on Google would be enough to express my gratitude to Stefano, an exceptional man, old school, as unfortunately we meet fewer and fewer today. The food is not only delicious but also presented as a show. For example, the veal in a bread crust is brought on large trolleys to the center of the room and the bread crust is cut in front of everyone. Even the appetizers are brought on trolleys next to each table and the cold cuts are cut with a knife directly in front of the customer. The first courses, the second courses, the house wine ... everything is exceptional as is Stefano. I highly recommend anyone who wants, in addition to eating well and paying the right price, to get to know a place, a team of very good people and especially Stefano to go to the "Antica trattoria del cacciatore" because it is really worth it both for an intimate dinner and for a big party. Stefano is exceptional!!! I will never tire of saying it. In my future every party and every anniversary will be organized at the "Antica trattoria del cacciatore". Many thanks to Stefano and his entire team for making our wedding lunch a memorable event for me and my guests. I wish you lots of health and prosperity. A hug. Matteo Potente
Excellent food and service!
They also have gluten-free! (Tagliatelle with Bolognese ragù, and more)
Unfortunately the area where it is located leaves a little to be desired!
It's misleading to write gluten-free options which then send you away if you have celiac disease. Plus the girls aren't the most friendly. Not recommended

You told me the first time that there was the possibility of contamination, I said okay and sat down, then another lady came to reiterate the concept, so was it me who wanted to leave or was it you who didn't have want to let me eat in your restaurant? Unfortunately we know that if the cuisine is unique there can be contamination, you just need to be very careful, which you probably don't want to do. Also, there are few restaurants that have double kitchens but they are happy to pay attention. However, I repeat that it is not recommended for celiacs.
