As a very sensitive Coeliac, I had a delightful recent experience at Dovetail Social. The food was tasty and beautifully prepared. I highly recommend the gluten free waffle, with fried chicken, bacon and maple syrup!
If you've got coeliac disease (or even if you haven't), you've got to come here. Absolutely everything on the menu and in the cabinet is gluten-free and tastes delicious. I highly recommend the chilli crab master. My matcha latte tasted great, too. I also grabbed a cinnamon bun cookie for later, but I'm regretting not trying the cherry, lemon and coconut slice - it looked divine.
Love, love, love this gluten free bakery. I travel up from the Gold Coast every month to indulge in the delicious pastries and sweets.
It is seriously so exciting to walk into a bakery where you can eat absolutely anything, without asking "is that gluten free" every 2 seconds. I appreciate this bakery so much!
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5 – A Hidden Gem with Something for Everyone!
Absolutely loved this little café! One of the standout features is the huge range of options, seriously, there’s something for everyone. They even have separate gluten-free and plant-based menus, which made choosing so much easier and inclusive for all diets.
Now, let’s talk food, the chipotle chat potatoes were an easy 10/10. Perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, soft inside, and packed with just the right amount of smoky heat. Honestly couldn’t have been better. I’d go back just for those.
I also tried the Ginger Ninja juice, fresh, zingy (not too zingy), and super refreshing. Exactly what you want in a juice: balanced, punchy, and not too sweet.
Service was super quick, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole place had a relaxed, easygoing vibe. The location is convenient, and prices are more than fair for the quality and variety on offer.
Highly recommend checking this place out whether you’re after a quick bite, a hearty plant-based meal, or just want some standout potatoes. Will definitely be back!
Positive happy staff, delicious food and always a welcoming experience and a great range of delicious gluten free options. We love eating here, thank you👌🙌
Gluten free lovers unite!!! Celiacs here is a restaurant for you. There is so much gluten free options here. Best of all for those who are not gluten free it won’t matter because you can’t tell it’s gluten free. The food is delicious and lots of effort from the wonderful staff to satisfy. Also note GF options for beer🍺. Must say it’s one of a few restaurants where the food is as vibrant and colorful as the pictures.
Enjoy.
A lovely spot with a welcoming atmosphere.
The menu is simple, clear, and easy to navigate, especially when it comes to ingredients and dietary options.
The hot chocolate was spot on—rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced. I ordered the baked eggs, which were decent, though I would’ve preferred the yolks a little softer and runny to enhance the flavour of the dish. Also, a second piece of gluten-free bread would’ve been appreciated, as one small slice felt a bit limiting alongside the meal.
What really stood out was the warm, community vibe. Locals were chatting with each other, giving the place a friendly, relaxed feel that made the experience all the more enjoyable.
Excellent place for gluten free eating. Quite unique in that they offer sweets, made to order light lunches, and take-home meals, entirely gluten free and top quality. Reasonably priced. Lovely service, they were very patient about the boisterous child we had with us (sorry, and thank you).
Pies and sausage rolls are the best GF we’ve found. Chocolate babka cake is really good and the service is great. Great to a place where it’s all gluten free.
Wow just wow, love it. I'm coeliac and there is food and understanding. The food is great and very filling. Service is fantastic even when it's busy they always deliver.
My fiancé and I ordered several boxes of brownies for our engagement party and were thrilled with the taste, presentation, cost and service. I needed to make an adjustment in how the brownies were packaged (keeping ones with nuts separate due to a nut allergy) and the responses I got back from staff member Brittany were so quick, professional and helpful. We were on a budget which is why we went with brownies over a traditional cake, and this option was really great! Guests loved them, and we are enjoying eating the few we had leftover. It was really special to be able to serve a dessert that all guests could enjoy, as we had some guests who are lactose free, my partner is allergic to dairy/eggs/nuts, some guests who are vegan, and even got 1 box of the gluten free version to cater for another guest. Strongly recommend! :)
Had breakfast here with my family.. I have coeliac disease.. it was delicious!!! Would definitely return back when we are in the area! Highly recommend!! A beautiful atmosphere aswell! 👌
Always a great experience here at the Butcher Shoppe great selection of gluten free items as everything is gluten free and celiac approved. The cafe always on point food and quick service. Everytime on coming past from the Sunshine Coast we drop in as only a few minutes from the motorway keep up the great work team.
What a beautiful breakfast experience on our way home to Tooowomba this morning. The food was amazing, fresh and all the drinks were perfect. Friendly staff and a beautiful little cafe. Lots of gluten free options so thank you ❤️
Freshly cooked Crepes with lots of fillings of choice. Reasonably priced. Great service by young friendly staff. A great dining experience overall. We chose Miss Claudes initially because it offers all dietary options - dairy free, gluten free, vegan and regular. We will be back. 18 diners with 18 happy tummies.
This place was hands down amazing! Everything we ate was phenomenal. Coeliac heaven and just amazing. Everything inside the shop was so unique and well designed. Please come and open a shop in Melbourne- we would love you!
If i could give no stars i would have usually we absolutely love beefys it's a happy treat NOT when the young staff are working they always look so miserable all but rolling their eyes my husband asked for a steak and potato pie he got a plain mince pie slapped with some disgusting minty mash or top looked like potato tasted like mint and my gourmet gluten free sausage roll was some gross 7'11 packaged roll thing and when told they didn't have cheese sauce she offered us gravy we said no she walked off half way through us talking grabbed the gross tasting gravy and all but slammed it in my husbands hand. Usually loved now never again
Incredible service, efficient, food was delicious. My sister is a celiac and they adapted perfectly to this, with natural options for it. Our waitress, Ines was very nice and seemed to predict all our needs.
10/10
Recently purchased a cheesecake for a Birthday. One of the best textured and flavourful cheesecakes I have ever tasted in Australia, and I believe it was also gluten free. Absolutely recommend a visit to this little gem.
We came across this place and decided to have lunch there. Good decision! My wife is a coeliac, and the food at Rick's ticked all the boxes. The menu has lots of GF options, even fries, which is a rarity. They have separate prep area and fryer, so the chances of cross contamination are low. Both of us really enjoyed our meals, and the GF chocolate cake we had for dessert was special, so much so that we ordered an extra one to take away! The place has a relaxed atmosphere, and it's just across the road from the beach. A winner!
Follow-up review after a serious gluten incident that my family experienced at Pawpaw.
When I published my original review sharing how two coeliac members of our family got served fully glutened meals (not just slightly contaminated, but meals FULL of gluten) after very elaborate instructions on their allergies, I had a member of PawPaw's team respond and ask to send the email with booking details, meals ordered, etc - saying that they will take this very seriously and follow-up to understand how this happened. And so I emailed them.
It's been OVER a month and even after another follow-up email on my part - there has been NO response, NO acknowledgement from their part, that they received the information, that they are going to investigate it or have looked into this so this doesn't happen again to someone else.
Our family members are STILL suffering dire consequences of their incompetency / oversight.
I DO NOT recommend going there if you have a serious allergy, because they clearly don't give a damn.
There are delicious gluten-free sweets on offer. I had a chocolate brownie (gf) with my iced latte, while my husband enjoyed a butterscotch white chocolate muffin with his skinny flat white.
