So here's the thing, it's a great spot, and if you dine in, the food is pretty good. They hand-pour cherry Coke on request and take pride in their beer offerings, too. Twin Cities natives LOVE them their local Pizza Luce.
BUT - and it's a BIG but (sans Sir Mix-a-Lot) - I got nasty food poisoning from their chicken wings last year, and haven't been able to look at chicken wings since. They also have a problem remembering to add extra cheese on their pizza when you order online. Has happened several times when I've ordered delivery as well as pick-up. Both of these issues are specific to the Roseville location.
On the other hand, Katie at the Selby location in St Paul is wonderful if you're lucky enough to be in her service. I was there last week with a VERY diverse group of people - there were about 10 of us - and she was great. She was even juggling a late Friday night when the carbonation ran out at the bar, so no carbonated drinks. They also ran out of their summer special pizza (Taco Supreme), and the kitchen dropped one of our orders. Katie was pleasant, kind, generous, on top of it. She handled her business, as we say in NYC, amidst the chaos. Kudos to you, Katie. I hope you -and your corporate boss - see this review, because you're the reason I will continue to recommend Pizza Luce despite clear ops issues.
The vegan meatballs are pretty good, and even have a fire-seared flavor to them that's unexpected in vegan products.
I happen to be an omnivore, and also tried the meat meatballs, which are also quite good - though I don't recommend mixing and matching.
Generally, the pizzas are super yum, but have a thin, crispy crust, fyi. Also important: they have a pretty good gluten-free selection, including the pizzas.
I recommend asking about spiciness if you have sensitivity to burning foods, though. Not everything with "kick" is labeled on the menu.
So, after all of that, I still go. I still recommend them. Just know that there may be a learning curve, so I also recommend you go with locals the first few times if you're a traveler or a transplant.
Cheers
The Red Cow has delicious fare and great service. I was part of a group of four. They have a dedicated gluten-free fryer, so all the fried potato dishes (e.g. french fries, sweet potato fries, etc.) can be made gluten-free (and oat-free).
Waited 45 minutes for 2 omelettes with hashbrowns. Omelettes were small, ham was sliced up lunchmeat and the hashbrowns were so salty they were inedible. The female staff person emptying the garbage went straight to touching clean silverware and then to serve our food without washing her hands. The only good part of the visit was the gluten-free chocolate muffin, however, I will find out in a couple hours if it was actually GF. I would not visit this place again.
We've came here many times today me and my kids had the worst experience the cashier was not nice and unaware of the stores options of gluten free and food options. He was not pleasant and my waffle was very doughy and soggy. I told them the remade it and it was still the same. Whoever the chef back there is doesn't know how to make waffles my 9 year can do better than that. Waste of time and money ruined for us. Never coming back here again.
“Gluten friendly” at your own risk. Fries are marked that they can be gluten free, but the cheese sauce they come with is beer cheese, so the waitress had to clarify that she’d bring that on the side. And they don’t have a GF frier, so she asked if that would be ok. Maybe I ate too many fries, since it wasn’t clear that they came with the burger too (w/ no other option).
The gf burger bun was good (covered in poppy seeds) & held up well. Cocktails were also good and the atmosphere was just what we were looking for.
Had some amazing gluten free chocolate cake and an okay latte, but this isn’t a place to hang out. I was trying to get some work done and was told there was no wifi.

Something for everyone! Vegetarian, vegan, heaps of gluten-free options and a solid chicken and shrimp too.
Tastey flavors in a Midwest hot scale. Definitely safe for your Aunt Janine.
Open late after the game too!
We really loved this place! The waitress was super sweet and the food was awesome! We just wish there was GF toast for our breakfast. But over all, it was great! We had a good gluten free breakfast 👍🏻
I am always impressed when I go to Hope! I can never choose what to get because there are SO MANY amazing options!
Gluten free and vegan options available and they are DELICIOUS! Even most of their specialty coffees can be made vegan!

We needed a last minute option to feed 100+ people after our food truck canceled and Doge Pizza stepped up! The pizza was delicious and there were so many options including vegan and gluten free.
The staff was very helpful in making sure that I got the pizza by the time I needed even though the expected time was almost 45 minutes past when I needed it.
Great location, highly recommend
Over priced, not good food. I ordered a 1/2 grilled cheese sandwich on gluten free bread & tomato basil soup. $12!! It was a very, very small 1/2 sandwich partially grilled then a very small cup (not bowl) that contained about 1/3 cup of 'soup' that was so thick (and partly burnt) it shouldn't have been called soup. We were very disappointed and will not return.
I have been going to the highland grill for over 10 years and it is truly one of the best places in the twin cities. I also recently went gluten free and there menu is well labeled with regards to dietary guidelines 😊
This place was absolutely phenomenal. The hummus was the best we've ever had. What a pleasant surprise! They were able to accommodate our various allergies/sensitivities (gluten, dairy, onion). We had the salmon and NY strip. Cooked perfectly and so so delicious. Steve, our server made sure to take our allergies down and also made sure to get us our food quickly since we were headed to a concert. He was wonderful!
If you're gluten-free or celiac I would avoid this location!!!
Horribly dirty ! DO NOT EAT HERE place was disgusting never seen keys so disgusting sadly. Food wasn't keys signature style or taste I eat keys alot at other locations. And the urinal in the men's bathroom was the worst black mold and grime that I've ever seen it was horrible standing piss unbelievable ! Very disappointed. Cook didn't pay attention to my lady's allergies either. Overall just not a clean place either dirt and grime on tables sticky stuff on floors and window sill area . Brown gravy on floor and bench areas everywhere on floor was dirty look like it hadn't been swept in a month. Very poor appearance. 👀🤦♂️😔 WASTED TRIP OF TIME N MONEY . Roseville#2 Woodbury#3 or Hudson#1 KEYS are definitely the go-to. (If you're gluten-free or celiac I would avoid this location!!! )
It was a great experience! Our server was friendly and helpful. The food was great! I tried the Loon omelet with gluten free toast. So yummy!! Love that they support gluten free and still make it taste so good. Thank you!
Literally such a gift! Are you a person with celiacs desperately in search of gochujang and fried Korean food? This is the place you want to be! Seats fill up fast tho so get there early if you can
Had a stellar experience at this tiny coffee shop in Saint Paul. I was staying in an airbnb nearby, and it was recommended by the owner. It exceeded my expectations: friendly efficient service, delicious drinks, and lots of light food options, including gluten free donuts from SIFT (I got the blueberry and it was quite good). If I'd had time, I would have returned, and I will certainly go again if I'm in the area.
Never thought I'd be raving about a breakfast plate of 2 eggs with toast and hashbrowns, but here we are. The gluten-free bread is 💣. Tastes homemade. Hashbrowns are a work of art - crispy on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside. Really enjoyed my cozy little booth on an early rainy morning. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in the area.
Layback, self sitting/ordered. Friendly staffs brings your order to your table (loved it). They do offer gluten free options. We enjoyed crème brûlée, latte w/gold, iced chocolate, hot chocolate(offered kids temperature). Generous salad Dressing overpowering the taste of avocado toast. Toasts are very dry to me and roasted potatoes are way too salty with average bacons. Fluffy scrambled eggs were very good. Chocolate with strawberries crepes were on point.
We chose this place for a get together with some friends and our kids. It was suggested by other parents as a place for a fun and unique experience for all ages. We went on a Sunday so there wasn't much airplane action. We did get to see 1 plane take off as we were leaving. They offered a kid's menu, gluten-free options and a variety of cocktails. We went for the breakfast options: french toast for the kids, coffee, tea, french toast sandwich, mushroom toast & eggs. Our friend's had the Holman's Breakfast. All was delicious and everyone left with a content and happily filled belly. We look forward to returning in the summer to enjoy their outdoor seating and to check out the dinner menu.
Perfect weather on one of the nicest patios in the city. The food was excellent as always, especially the halibut cheeks, a rare find in the midwest. The celiac member of our party also really appreciated the very wide range of options available. Our server, Bryan, was outstanding. His pleasantness, knowledge and timing all contributed greatly to an entirely wonderful evening.
Nice menu with clearly labeled items for gluten free, dairy free, vegan, etc. Food was nicely seasoned and drinks were delicious. Only caveat was the papas had an odd flavor to them with the sweet paprika.
Lightning fast appearance (of my precise off-book breakfast order- I was 2 sips into coffee after opening a handful of creams into it when my giant platter appeared. It isn't maybe a low budget option but the food is good, quick, and they both know how to leave off the wheat/ gluten stuff and offer gluten-free substitutions for lil upcharges. Place has a good feel. I will be back a bunch for sure.
Definitely the best London Fog I've had in the twin cities! They don't have it on the menu, but I just asked and they were happy to oblige. I also got a scone and muffin, both were delicious!
I'm not gluten free, but they also have several options for GF with signs posted for additional options on request.
Parking is also super easy AND the staff is delightful.
10/10 wonderful experience
Great place to grab a bite to eat with friends. They have a nice drink/beverage menu and offer gluten free and vegan options. The staff was very friendly and helpful at pointing out what could be made gluten free and what wasn't! We will definitely be back.
We met colleagues here, as they love the food - however, they aren't huge fans of the atmosphere when the accordion player is around. I will say that the musician never played at our table, thankfully - as it was SO loud, that you need not bother for the musician to come to your actual table; you can hear him across the entire restaurant. That said, we were leaving after enjoying our supper, and he was asking for tips as we left. When we didn't give him any money (he didn't play at our table), he was both rude and verbally abusive. What an inappropriate and sour way to exit a restaurant. He was standing at the door doing this to everyone who was leaving the place. The food is fine for those who have no gluten/lactose allergies. There are literally two items on the menu that were edible for those with gluten/dairy allergies. So I ate french fries. Pass on it. It's pricey and the musician was obnoxious. He should be fired. As a musician, I cannot justify the attitude given with the skill presented. Hard pass. Buy vodka drinks elsewhere.
I was searching for a catering menu for a corporate event with St. Patty's finger food and couldn't find anything-a co-worker suggested Little Oven. I called Joe and he sent me over an amazing selection with resonable pricing! Our St. Patty's event was a huge hit, we had ruben sliders, stuffed tater tots and artichoke dip. He even accomodated a gluten free pasta dish and chips that were outstanding. They delivered ontime and were so nice. We certainly will be using them again for future events.
Have dined many times at Yarusso Brothers and always have an amazing experience.
My go to is the pasta supreme which is excellent.
They also offer gluten-free pasta which is also great.
The atmosphere is enjoyable and comfortable with pictures and decor which propels you back in time.
You will love everything about Yarusso Brothers
Love eating here. This was an old family favorite growing up and even with updates over the years this place always hits the spot. Perfect portions for days you are super hungry, and for the days you need smaller portions (the specials are amazing)
As someone who struggles with dietary issues (Celiac, and autoimmune GI issues) I love coming here knowing I won't get sick. -but my husband, who can eat anything, is a fiend for the caramel rolls and cinnamon rolls
A favorite place to brunch with my mom ❤️
I saw a lot of polarized reviews of this place around the time I visited. I'd say more negative reviews than positive. Of course, everyone compares this to Fogo in Minneapolis. It was booked on the Saturday we wished to go, so I decided to try Bullvino despite the recent negative reviews. If you've been to Fogo recently, I think you'd agree that lately its much more crowded, seems like Fogo now packs tables close together, and it is very loud and the non-meat bearing servers seem more overwhelmed. The service at Fogo has gone down for these reasons I believe, also prompting me to go for a change.
Food at Bullvino: Despite some reviews, the meats were not overcooked. Meats were tasty particularly enjoyed the pork ribs! Great selection/variety and I was asked at least 3 times if I had any requests for particular kind of meat, rarely was I asked this if at all, over at Fogo. My wife commented that she preferred the meats at Bullvino over Fogo. Salad bar- I agree with some reviews here, not as good as Fogo. Salad bar was good, I wouldn't say it was great or amazing. But it was a solid good!
Gluten Free: I am a symptomatic celiac, so absolutely need to be gluten free. They had a allergy menu showing various allergens in their salad bar items and meats. Following the guide, I had no issues at all with gluten. I was disappointed to see most salad dressings not gluten free. Desserts were also a bit disappointing on the gluten free front, but not a big deal.
Service: Excellent. I feel like since the pandemic, getting a high level of service even at expensive places is getting rare. Bullvino's has the level of service you would expect for the price paid. To me its not anything above expectations, but it SEEMS to be above and beyond these days! Again, its service as I would expect, very attentive, water glasses being refilled promptly, other drinks checked on and asked if more was wanted... bread and other 'starters' also checked on and filled back as much as we wanted. As mentioned above, I was asked multiple times if there was any meats I had not had and wanted, if there was ANYTHING I wanted and did not get... bang on service as expected when I am tipping 20% on a $150 bill.
Atmosphere: It was clean, tables set nicely, nothing deficient that I noticed. Overall look of the place was upscale, but wouldn't say that it made me feel particularly special. I didn't feel that there was any particular theme to it. It was almost too open, it didn't feel quaint I guess. Maybe a benefit of this was it was nowhere near as loud as it gets at Fogo, this was highly appreciated. There was nothing special to the overall look. You could see out into some spaces in the surrounding area, but there is nothing that interesting to look at. Again not a big deal, focus on your dining partner/partners!
This had to be one the best burgers on a gluten-free bun I've had in the twin cities! The Brussel spouts were amazing also. The service team was wonderful.
Stopped for a drink & bite to eat before a show at the Palace Theatre.
Fun atmosphere and we were pleased that the food was delicious!
I enjoyed the Elote Burger (it has corn & hot Cheetos in it!!) on a Gluten Free bun.
Can’t wait to go back and try something else from the menu!
