I'm not necessarily a huge fan of eggs benedict, but this place took me by surprise. The Cubano Benedict is maybe the best meal I've ever had (and gluten free!). The Steak Benedict is also fantastic.
The pancakes here are just okay last time I tried them- both gluten free and regular. Not something I'd go out for, but the Cubano Benedict is SO good, I must give this place 5 stars.
Great burgers and fries. The triple berry ketchup was amazing. Gluten free options available and fries were made in a separate fryer to avoid cross contamination.
Service was fantastic too!
4.4 total stars for this great American restaurant.
They had issues seating us out of the sun which was frustrating but they eventually were able to accommodate.
5 stars for our server Ephraim! He was so accommodating and knowledgeable about the dietary restrictions. They have many gluten sensitive and plant based/ vegan options and accommodated various requests for us. Lots of variety in the menu so anyone can eat here.
4 stars for the quality of the food it wasn’t outstanding but good.
We had the:
Blueberry mocktail- nice that they have many alcohol free options but this drink was just okay
Gluten free truffle Parmesan fries- very good garlic aioli hit the spot
Gluten free rainbow roll- okay
Plant based mushroom fettuccini with gluten free pasta and chicken- delicious!
Bison burger of gluten free bread- decent, amazing Gf bread
GF Cookies and cream cake - excellent
I do recommend for a group that needs variety and has dietary restrictions. It’s a nice atmosphere on the casual side.
We had a positive experience. There were gluten sensitive as well as healthier and more standard options. After parking a ways away, we did noticed there was also signs for parking behind the restaurant.
My new favorite restaurant in town! Amazing, fresh and tasty dinner made to perfection. The chef was very understanding of my allergies and made an exception salmon and veggies with amazing gluten free rolls. Also some of the best coffee I’ve had in a while. Really amazing atmosphere and vibe with a great staff. I love this place!
We had a fantastic dinner at Chester's. One of the best hamburgers I've had in a long time. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. My wife had the wedge salad and she said it was great. Fires were delicious! Even had gluten free key lime pie. Our waiter, Adam was awesome. He learned of my gluten allergy and even came back and said the tater tots I ordered weren't gluten free and offered options. Great job Chester's. Next time we are in Rochester we will be back!
Always a pleasant experience at Smoak. They offer a variety of quality & affordable BBQ items. All of which are delicious. They even have gluten free options so my wife can enjoy barbecue again. Highly recommended.
My wife and I stopped by for breakfast this morning on a whim. We were pleasantly surprised to have an outstanding experience. My wife suffers from a whole host of food allergies and as a result it is difficult to find a restaurant that can accommodate all of them. Chief among them being gluten (celiacs disease) and cross contamination from gluten. The staff did just that. From the top notch service provided by our waitress (thank you again, Amber B.) to the kitchen staff that prepared our food exactly the way it was ordered including all of our special requests. Our meals were made with top quality ingredients that came thru in both the taste and texture. It is also worth noting, that my wife did not suffer a reaction from any errors made in the preparation of our meals. The whole experience exceeded all of our our expectations. We will definitely be coming back again. To all those that read this, quality service deserves to be rewarded and lauded. Not just with gratuity but also thru reviews such as these.
4.7 stars for this delicious lovely gem 💎
The atmosphere is beautiful and on the upscale side.
Highly recommend the Grenache rose to go with the oysters which are on the Briney side but great if you like that sort of thing.
Asparagus app and beet app are smothered in cheese so not great for my taste but loved by others.
Bison meatloaf and scallops were the best dishes. Cabbage rolls were good but the tofu inside is the best part. Pork was also good.
The 16 layer crepe cake was amazing as well as the chocolate torte that’s also gluten free which is a big plus.
The server was very helpful in determining the gluten free dishes and options. All the staff were kind and helpful.
Overall a great restaurant highly recommended!
Fun, very tasty place for breakfast and lunch and dinner. The Dutch skillet was amazing, as was the blackberry creme muffin. The chocolate chip pannekoeken was more eggy than floury, which was fantastic for me, as I minimize my gluten consumption. Can’t wait to try their Muenster cheese curds, cabbage rolls, and more!
What a great use of the old Libby's building. Ordering stations make it easy and the staff is very friendly. Great food and the gluten free pizza crust was a hit too. Loads of room & space for diners and drinkers. Definitely recommend.
I walked over from the Mayo and asked what their dairy-free, gluten-free options were. They didn't have any. Disappointing because it looked like a lovely spot!
Gluten and soy-free diner here! Just enjoyed their veggie omelet (mushrooms, onions & peppers), with a side of andouille sausage, gluten-free toast and a large black coffee. Scrumptious! And Juneau Elizabeth loved the fact that the sausage was diced. Thank you!!
So delicious!! 10/10 would come back anytime! We started with pork dumplings and fried tofu. My group is still talking about how mind-blowingly delicious the dumplings were (being gluten intolerant I was not able to partake). The fried tofu comes with a generous serving and was also delicious. The kitchen nailed the slightly crispy exterior and soft interior that makes fried tofu most delicious. We also enjoyed the soju and other drink options.
For the meal we had 2 types of Bibimbap, Bulgogi, and Japchae and we all had food left over. We’ve just left but I’m super looking forward to leftovers already. All orders come with complimentary Banchan (small shareable plates), and several entrees include Banchan also. Banchan rotates and depends on what the kitchen has available.
The menu has some options for gluten friendly and vegetarian alternatives for specific dishes. I am gluten sensitive and pregnant and the server was very attentive to my dietary restrictions and needs. She made sure the Banchan that came with my meal were options that I could have and asked the kitchen to thoroughly cook the egg that came with my Bibimbap.
We were impressed with the level of general noise of the restaurant. There was quiet, pleasant music playing in the background and you could easily hear each other talk without having to raise your voice. We did sit near a side entrance door which left us a bit chilly before our drinks and hot food hit our systems.
Zen Fusion Hibachi was delicious, and the service was top notch. Corinne was delightful and kind, cheerful and knowledgeable. Chef B was entertaining and charming, the best hibachi chef I've ever experienced.
Everyone was very careful about a gluten allergy in our group, and they were very accommodating for every personality and need.
Hashbrowns were extremely dry and difficult to eat, almost stale. Was disappointing because I haven't been to Perkins in some time and remember a much better hashbrown. Omelette was good, waitress attempted to assist with my gluten allergy but I was still made sick by my meal which was a meat and potato omelette substituted tots for hashbrowns.
Excellent food! A wide selection of vegetarian and nonvegetarian tacos (even gluten-free if you choose corn tortilla shells.)
They have live music several nights of the week. The restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday.
It's definitely one of our family favorites!
