GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS
A great café with delish food and super friendly staff.
We have terrible Spanish abilities and they kindly spoke English for us.
I am coeliac and have to eat gluten free and they have lots of options including nice breads and cakes.
The coffee is very good. I quit drinking coffee a few years ago but tried some of my friends coffee and had to order one!
A fancy place for a family meal, a date, a celebration, or a Sunday lunch.
Spectacular food, like I haven't had in years. I recommend the roast chicken and the steaks in general.
They also specialize in gluten-free cuisine (almost all their dishes are gluten-free). In fact, they only have cornbread, which they make on-site, and it's delicious.
The atmosphere is cozy and very pretty, with a covered terrace overlooking a garden.
A 10/10.
Nice little vegan restaurant. The vegan burgers are delicious and cheap, the portions are very generous, with hand-cut fries. The Hicuri burger comes with a very tasty turmeric burger bun, and gluten-free buns are also available upon request.
Also recommended are the various batidos/smoothies.
Finding a place with a delicious gluten-free menu isn't easy. Here, it seemed normal. And also delicious and natural. Highly recommended. If you're traveling with pets, they're welcome and well-cared for.
I loved coming here because they have gluten-free and lactose-free pizza!!
And also the service is good and fast.
The best I've ever eaten by far. We will return!
The service was magnificent, as was the quality of the products. They were always attentive to the gluten-free products we could eat. We'll be back soon.
Be careful if you're celiac. I ordered a gluten-free dessert, and when I received it at the table, I asked if it was gluten-free, to which they replied that it was. When I'd already eaten half the dessert, they came to take it away, telling me it contained gluten and that they would serve me a new gluten-free one. This is a very serious and dangerous mistake. Most restaurants still have a lot to do regarding allergens; having an allergen list isn't enough; we have to be careful, since people's health is at stake. I must say that the food was generally very good.
We've already eaten there a couple of times, and everything was very good and delicious. My son is celiac and no problem. When you order a drink, they give you a delicious pâté, and for him, he has a separate pâté with his bread to avoid contamination. We'll definitely be back.
The servers were kind but unfortunately the food missed it's mark. The pancakes were dry and although had the toppings the flavors were muted and needed honey or maple syrup (which they didn't have). The eggs were flavorless and needed salt. The kicker was the gluten allergy that we noted and asked for the bread on the side of the eggs but when it arrived the bread was on top of the eggs. When I made them aware of this issue they took the plate away and came make less then two minutes later with the bread in a bowl. It was obvious they had simply taken the bread off the eggs and return the same dish. Mocha and chai coffees were ok.
A very good restaurant in a beautiful location with a wide variety of food for people with celiac disease. They even serve gluten-free migas (on request). The grilled meat was delicious, and the waiter (I think his name was Ramón) treated us very pleasantly and gave us great recommendations, even though we arrived a little late, around 3:45 p.m., as we were hiking and borrowing some lemons. We will definitely return.
Not suitable for celiacs. There is an allergen menu and another menu. In each one they put the allergens incorrectly indicated and they are not clarified well. If you call by phone they don't know how to clarify it either. I don't recommend it because there is contamination and you don't have security, plus by law they have to have a clear menu, not that in both menus some things have gluten and others don't (but in reality they do).
Cozy restaurant and fantastic treatment from the owner. My children are celiac and they had dishes adapted for them and they controlled the issue of cross contamination. We ate very well.
We loved it! The owners are loving people, it is totally suitable for celiacs, they have a fryer only for homemade potatoes and another only for frying gluten-free foods. They tell you everything you can eat and if they can adapt any dish you want, in addition to super polite and close treatment, a 10 for the establishment!!
We had to wait a long time for our food. We arrived at 2:00 PM and they served it at 5:00 PM. Besides, they are not careful with gluten. Otherwise, we would have realized that the waiters had contaminated the gluten-free food. We would have ended up in the hospital.
A spectacular and very peaceful place! Everything is very well-maintained and clean! The waiters are very friendly, attentive, and make sure everything is perfect! They are very sensitive to allergens! If you have celiac disease (like me), you can come here and eat with peace of mind! They have a wide variety and they even adapt the dishes for you!
Highly recommended! We loved it!
The quality of the food is good, the pizza carbonara we ordered was a very good size and tasted quite good and the gluten-free pasta carbonara was also very good. The acceptable price.
The best vegetarian paella I've ever eaten! They are super attentive to allergies and intolerances. They offer vegetarian and gluten-free options. The wine list is varied and of excellent quality. Super friendly and efficient service. The environment is clean and well decorated. The view from the top floor is a spectacle in itself. It is very well located in the historic center, close to the castle and the beach. I strongly recommend.
We called a day before to ask if they had gluten-free bread for breakfast and they said yes. We were a group of girls and when we arrived they told us that they had a loaf of bread but they didn't serve it to us for breakfast. They didn't give us any options and the girl was treated unpleasantly.
After complaining that the air conditioning delivery pipe is dripping water, which fell on the plate, the young and inexperienced waiter seats two people in the same place after demanding that he change us. It seems that they are not willing to lose what a table brings them. Zero customer interest. Namely, with that need for euros what you do in the kitchen. Be careful with this place! Also, the gluten-free thing is even more careful!! Some days they have gluten-free dishes and other days they don't exist. Seeing as how they care very little if water from air conditioning condensation gets on their food (which is disgusting and can make you sick), I doubt they are respectful of gluten-free preparation. Person in charge of the establishment, go with the modern children that you have serving and see if you send them to hospitality school. If someone complains to them it is for something, not so that they continue exposing other people to contaminated water from the air conditioning!
There are homemade dishes and desserts for CELIACS.
The croquettes are homemade (grandma's are cooked, without much to highlight about them).
The chickpea stew that they serve as a starter has been a very pleasant surprise and a generous accompaniment. The sauce was exquisite.
It is advisable to book in advance because it is always full on weekends.
Attention to the ideal audience. Adequate prices. Quiet atmosphere. Highly recommended.
In this restaurant, they offer the possibility of gluten-free meals. After calling my partner to find out about their knowledge of celiac disease, we decided to book. We were surprised when upon entering they did not even ask us whose name the reservation was in (which is already a bad idea, because they did not know that a person with celiac disease was going there) but that is not a problem, because I communicate my situation to the waitress and that's it. To my surprise, the waitress is new and when I point out that I want "gluten-free", she doesn't even know what I'm referring to (hiring people without training them in the business itself is very good, especially when dealing with something as dangerous as a autoimmune disease). At this point, I already knew that things were not going to end well.
Finally they give us the food (a different waiter, who brought the gluten-containing plate and the gluten-free plate in the same hand, more danger of cross contamination) and when we were full, we decided to order it to go. If I pay for a dish, I want to consume it in its entirety. We called the waitress who was serving us to ask for the bill and to tell her to get it for us to take away; pizza with gluten, pasta without gluten. Before leaving, I emphasize that they put them separately, that my dish is gluten-free (since I had already seen that she was lost on the subject), to which she leaves smiling and nodding. Finally, they charge us and the girl leaves a pizza box on the table. I thought he had forgotten mine, but no. There it was.
Clearly, it is not a place that can be trusted as celiacs, there is a lack of information among the staff. This opinion is not just mine, I know more people who have gone to this same place and been told "but what do you have, an intolerance or allergy?" None, gentlemen, is an autoimmune disease.
Restaurant located on the Paseo Marítimo de Salobreña, it has a fully covered interior room and an exterior terrace all with sea views.
Very good quality-price.
Excellent attention from the entire service starting with the Head of Room to the last waiter.
It is very convenient to book, especially in the summer season.
Easy parking and wheelchair access in the summer is complicated.
It is advisable to notify vegans and celiacs.
We arrived at 5:00 p.m. without having been able to eat on the way, making a trip...and great! They fed both my children (gluten-free menu) and us. Thank you so much!
We had a great time there! Drinks we’re really good. The ambience is superb! Unfortunately the choice of food was neither vegan nor gluten free friendly. BUT: Rosa tried her very best and went several times back to the kitchen to make everything possible for us. Very attentive, patient and kind! Thank you 🙏
As soon as you enter you find a bar full of hams and wine barrels as well as a ham cutter that I'll stick to you cutting ham for the tapa that you are going to eat first. The prices are like everywhere else, a beer or a third for 2.70 euros. It has beer for celiacs. You have to be patient with the waiters because the place is usually packed.
We have been several times, and generally good, but yesterday the experience with a waitress was average. While he was serving us he looked at the notifications on his watch, he objected to everything we asked about gluten-free, we were missing napkins and when we asked for them for the 3rd time he answered ironically "honey" now when I bring the food I'll bring you the napkins. He kept leaving without even asking for everything...
The place is exquisite, both for the views and for the purity of the air and of course the water. The restaurant offers a terrace open to the views and a couple of very beautiful and equipped rooms with a fireplace that gives even more warmth to the environment. They gave us a couple of tapas with the drinks and the food was worthy of any self-respecting palate. Without forgetting the celiacs, we didn't miss anything thanks to the great variety of food on the menu and the attention of one of the waitresses and the cook. Thank you! We hope to be able to repeat very soon!
Restaurant-Hotel located at the entrance to the town of Castril with considerable antiquity.
It has several salons with very good quality and moderate prices.
Specialized in local meats (lamb and goat) although they have everything on their menu.
Very friendly and professional attention.
They have parking and easy wheelchair access.
It is very convenient to call to reserve.
Refrain from vegans and celiacs, warn them because they can eat several dishes.
Magnificent customer service!! Belén has been our waitress and everything was great, very attentive and pleasant :)
My boyfriend is celiac and she and her partner Marta came to explain the letter to us and we greatly appreciate that they do so with that attention and care.
A 10/10 especially for the waitresses, the food was also very good!
