I ordered a poke bowl: generally the quality of food is good, with gluten free soy sauce (one in a million place in Samui with knowledge about gluten free food) but the rice is too separated (I would have preferred the use of thai rice or sticky rice). Banana shake a little bit too sweet.
I ordered a burger.
Unfortunately they didn't have gluten free buns anymore so I got a gluten free wrap instead.
The burger was nice.
It's great that you get salt, pepper and everything at the table in nice containers and complimentary water with cucumber.
That's really a plus!
I had a table near the toilet and saw the chef lady enter and leave the toilet with a rubber glove on and without washing her hands she went back to the kitchen.
That's a minus...
This is a great spot! The food is fresh, delicious and healthy and the staff are super warm and welcoming. Loads of options available including lots of gluten free sweet treats, and it has a lovely and calm atmosphere as well! Would highly recommend!
I loved Living Juices & Yoga! The yoga class at 8:00 was a perfect way to start the morning and Maddy instructed the class perfectly!
The food and coffee here are also delicious and the toasts are all gluten free! Definitely will be giving the cafe another visit! 💚
It's not that simple to find Gluten free Pizza in Koh Phangan, and this one was perfect!!
So glad I had the chance to eat there, a nice place to sit, the staff is great and the gluten-free pizza is excellent
Very good food and friendly staff. Also, I am celiac and they were really attentive. They told me what I could have and what I could not have and they ensured me that the falafel were fried separately to avoid cross contamination. My plates arrived with a small flag with the label “gluten free” written on them. Having spent nearly a month in SEA I can tell that it is not common to meet people that are aware of the problem, so it was really nice not to have to explain it all over again for once!
There was also a good deal of 2 beers for 1 (for my non celiac boyfriend!).
This restaurant was truly something special. The menu is incredibly creative, with many gluten-free options and dishes that go well beyond the ordinary. Everything we tried was imaginative, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.
The service was friendly and attentive and the view of the beach added even more to the experience. Dining with the sound of the waves in the background was just perfect.
One standout dish was the mushroom wrap – it completely blew me away. If you're curious about what vegan cuisine can really do when it's done with care and creativity, this is the place to try it!
All in all, a truly memorable dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy something a little different, in a beautiful setting.
The quality here does come at a price – it's above the average for Thailand – but absolutely worth it.
If I ever return to Koh Phangan, I’ll definitely come back to this place.
Cafe del Sol is a really nice place to stay. The owner was welcoming us really friendly. I am celiac and strictly have to eat gluten free. I was really happy to find a place where I can have a gluten free chocolate cake dessert with some vanilla ice cream. It was so yummy, I can only recommend it! 🍨
Unfortunately, only the wraps are gluten-free for people with celiac disease and we didn't find them very good. The gluten-containing food such as pasta and Thai dishes were very tasty
Not to be dramatic but this is one of the nicest meals I’ve ever eaten in my entire life. Me and my friends ordered around 7 dishes between us and every single one was 10/10. If you are in Koh Phangan you HAVE to come here!! I am coeliac and need to eat gluten free and there were so many amazing options for me. The staff were so kind and very understanding of my allergy. Couldn’t recommend this place more.
Very nice place with good food and drinks.
Food: 4.5
Very tasty, and healthy options, including gluten-free. Even though slightly expensive.
Service: 5.0
Very good. Attentive and quick to respond.
Atmosphere: 4.5
Depending on your taste. They have nice music and the place sounded quiet so it can be useful for some digital work or reading.
Bonus:
Very fast Wi-Fi and it's air-conditioned (even though you also have a place outside with a few benches).
They have gluten free options which seems nice
I ordered some curry
When it arrived it was really bad, a lot of oil, defrosted chicken, and bad taste
The waitress was nice but charged full price for a dish I barely ate,
I think they could have been more sensitive about that cause the food wasn’t good…
Ate here twice! I am gluten free and dairy free. Bua, the manager, speaks perfect English and understands allergies. She was able to recommend and modify dishes for me, it was perfect! And the 5 dishes I had were fantastic - duck curry, tuna samoi, papaya salad, massaman curry, mussels and basil - highly recommend all of them!
Welcoming family, I was assured that anything could made gluten free. and little sceptical, but I went with Pad Thai after a few questions to quiz their knowledge. After 2hours I'm still fine and I react to small amounts. friendly, welcoming, affordable food and great views of the ocean.
I loved it. On my trip to Thailand I have not had much access to the country's typical food since I have celiac disease. Despite explaining it and repeating it on several occasions, they do not fully understand the disease (many times, they do not even intend to do so) and they answer you with a resounding NO (some are almost even angry). In this restaurant the workers were super friendly and willing. They explained the ingredients of each dish and assured us that all their Thai cuisine is gluten free. It's wonderful to find restaurants like this. Both the curries, the masaman and the rest of the Thai dishes were delicious. Tonight and tomorrow we repeat! Many thanks for everything.
The food is actually good. BUT, I have a gluten allergy, which I told all the waiters about. It seems like no one knows what gluten is. There’s marking on some of the menu of the gluten free dishes but apparently they are wrong. This is so upsetting knowing that because of their mistake I have eaten gluten in this meal. I would expect so much from a restaurant at a 5 star resort.
If you have celiac, STAY AWAY
Great food and service. We had lunch at Crystal Bay Beach Club during our day here, consisting of fresh springrolls, a steak ciabatta, calamari and satay skewers with fries on the side. All was superb and they offer restaurant guests the opportunity to enjoy the pool as well.
What we really want to point out is that the menu is well labeled with gluten free options ( in addition to vegan/vegetarian and spicy), making it a lot easier to find the right options if you have dietary restrictions/preferences!
The best bowls, gluten-free pancakes, and açaí bowls ever!
I HIGHLY recommend it!
The juices are divine too!
We spent a week on the island and went to PuraVida every day (sometimes more than once a day!).
There is a large selection of dishes and we enjoyed every single one. We were on vacation and came across the restaurant by chance and came back the next two evenings. So we tried our way through the menu. The smoothies especially tasted very good. We were also impressed by the large selection of cocktails. The staff is super nice. If there are problems with the diet, such as gluten-free, consideration will be given. The ambience is very pleasant and the staff is attuned to tourists (English is spoken well).
How do you begin to summarize the experience in this place? A stunning beach, a fun pool and food beyond imagination! You can spend a whole day here and you won't get bored for a second, DJ at noon and mesmerizing fire shows in the evenings! Erez the owner is simply an amazing personality, helps everyone who asks, advises and especially makes you want to move to Thailand! There are dishes here suitable for everyone, we kept Passover so they brought us everything without gluten, including amazing pasta and arek! The grill here is hysterical, and although the prices are not low, it is definitely worth it, in short, highly recommended! We will definitely be back
We ate here every day for our stay in Haad Rin, Koh Phangan. The restaurant is run by such a lovely team, who are welcoming and accommodating. The Thai food was so good, and they were able to adapt the ingredients to make it gluten free. Very cheap and freshly prepared. Located right near the Full Moon Party beach with free WiFi and toilet available.
tasty!! The daughter ate a hamburger with a gluten-free bun, the boys ate spaghetti and schnitzel with leaves. I ordered a savitza salad which was also wow. Good atmosphere, gorgeous view, suitable for children and affordable prices.
