Great place to get a burger for a coeliac, though only if you go on a day the buns are fresh! I went twice, and the first time my gf bun was really nice, but the second time it completely broke apart within the first two bites, making it too hard to eat without a knife and fork. These are things we deal with as gluten free people anyway, so it wasn’t surprising, but a little disappointing after such a good bun the time before. Otherwise the burgers were great, the chicken nuggets were really nicely cooked, and the chips were yum too!

One of my favourite places for brunch/lunch! Heaps of gluten-free options in the cabinet and on the menu and everything I’ve tried so far has been delicious. The gf chicken and waffles and the bowls are always a treat ☺️

As a gluten free person Lucianos is a dream with heaps of cabinet and menu items catering to those with a gf diet. Coffee was fantastic. I can see why it’s so busy all the time. Parking was a tad difficult and I could see that people couldn’t find seats hence just 4 stars for atmosphere

My husband and I have brunch here recently when in Christchurch for a weekend away, without kids, and really enjoyed it. The food was top notch. I’m gluten intolerant and don’t normally have many options but I had quite a few choices. My husband went with the breakfast stack and it did not disappoint, other than the fact he couldn’t finish it as he didn’t want to overstuff himself for the road trip home! I got the pancakes, what a treat! They were delicious and I absolutely did finish them! We both got coffees, which were so drinkable we wanted more. We have recommended this place already!

Booked today for lunch thinking would beat the usual Mother’s Day rush - so did everyone else as restaurant was packed but staff were amazing rushing around taking orders - checking on drinks etc and the food was up to usual standard. I made two seperate orders with my partner (they didn’t know we would pick up together) and he was given my gluten free burger, i received a regular burger and it was very lucky I didn’t eat it as I am celiac and get bad symptoms when eating gluten. This is quite a big mistake and they need to be more careful when it comes to allergies, I also paid more for it to be gluten free but that was the least of my concerns.

The Breakfast Burger is delicious! The tasty patty came adorned with hash-brown sticks, on a bun with cheez melted onto it. Menu includes smoothies, milkshakes, housemade ginger ale, hot chocolate; buddha bowl, onion rings, daily soup, breakfast plate and more. Shop shelves have many interesting products and include some good things for travellers, such as peanut-butter sachets, oatmilk powder and containers of pâté and “fish” salad. Lots of sweet things to choose from. Chiller has takeaway sandwich filling, coleslaw, Dunedin-made cheezy spreads, etc. Appetizers and gift boxes available to take away. Spices, soup mixes, fresh bread and ciabatta buns, handmade soaps and many gluten-free items. Cabinet is full of fabulous sandwiches, wraps, savoury piesand many baked treats. I’ve tried the Pinkalicious slice and iced carrot-cake cupcake - both scrumptious. No animal products anywhere in the store. Catering, wholesale and online shop available.

Also available gluten free It's good that GF and VG menus are always displayed in NZ. I had honey ginger tea and VG salad. A cafe with a great atmosphere by the sea I was able to talk to my friend fairly slowly.

Great place for brunch. Gets very busy so would recommend booking! The gingerbread hot chocolate is to die for. They cater very well to gluten and dairy free people such as myself.

A really great cafe! The food was excellent – ​​I was particularly impressed by the large selection of gluten-free and vegetarian options. The rest of the menu also leaves nothing to be desired. The coffee was really tasty. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. I particularly liked how child-, pet- and wheelchair-friendly the café is - everyone really feels welcome here. The ambience is beautifully designed and invites you to linger. Absolutely recommended – I would love to come back!

I would highly recommend trying out Moment Cafe. They have gluten free options like french (photo attached) which was so beautifully presented and even more delicious to eat. On top of that the service was very friendly and the ambiance of the Cafe so cozy/welcoming. Definitely a nice place to visit in the city centre if you get a chance.

Leeve’s Café is an absolute gem! Their food is to die for – all house-made and packed with flavour. I love that they cater to everyone, with gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options that don’t compromise on taste. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, and I especially love being able to bring my dog into the sunny courtyard. Such a great vibe and an even better menu – highly recommend!

What a quirky little place! We're not locals so stopped in on a family recommendation...and what a little treasure! Food was divine (wish I'd taken a photo)...I had the creamy chili'shrooms, no problem for them to do gluten free for me and they were incredible! Next time I'm in CHCH I'll be back for more! This place offers a touch of class in a unique environment. We had a birthday brunch there recently, it was superb. What was one of the best moments was seeing my daughters face when her gluten free pancake arrived looking just as good as normal food and tasting amazing. There was a lot of choice to meet various dietary requirements and all looked good. we will definitely be back.

Calamari and cauliflower were amazing, great flavour and the dipping for the calamari was particularly inspired. Got the chowder for a main with extra garlic bread for a main, poor waitress forgot until she came back to the table but rectified fairly quickly. Chowder was delicious but nuclear in temperature. We got the pasta for the other main with added fish - the fish was perfectly done, but the pasta was very one dimensional and unbalanced. The staff were very quick to rectify when I asked for it to be coeliac friendly, big kudos to the waiter that stepped in to get that fixed up. Overall pretty good, but got stuck between two loud tables in a corner while the rest of the restaurant appeared empty.

Really high quality food. I had the entree ribs and gluten free chicken burger. The burger was much better than Burger Fuel and worth spending the extra on. Chicken was juicy and perfectly cooked. Friendly staff. We were travelling in a group from Auckland for a long weekend and stopped for a good meal before and after our planned adventure in the hills.

My husband ordered the salmon spinach red onion and cheese omlette with a hashbrown and i had the vegan and gluten free banana pancakes with a hashbrown and allergy free toast gf and vegan with jam and bottomless coffee. Amazing food we will be going back love that they can do pancakes gf and vegan.The service was very friendly and always topping up coffee highly recommend

What a wonderful experience, we took our 3yr old gluten-free grandson out for a treat the young lady who served us went out of her way to check every thing was gluten-free even down to the marshmallow and jelly beans, great to see your staff are educated in how important this is to some people. Menu said "Ask us about gluten and dairy free options " but when I asked, these were scrambled eggs or open chicken sandwich with cheese and pesto excluded. Presentation was pretty average. Bread with a piece of lettuce, extremely overcooked and burned chicken topped with heaps of mayonnaise. Couldn't get fork in chicken and was so dry and shrivelled, that I gave up trying to eat it. All 8 people at our table ordered same thing and had the same experience with the chicken. Waste of money. Chef needs lessons on how to cook. Enjoyed my almond latte and orange cake. Staff were pleasant enough. Probably better if you don't have a food intolerance but I don't recommend the open chicken sandwich for anybody.

Delicious pizza! Really tender pork and tasty pineapple. Gluten free bases available. Staff are very very busy and there was a fair bit of wait time for food and drinks. Unlikely to get an outside table if you’re a walk-in.

We came in on Good Friday and had the set menu with the 5 cocktails. It was amazing! The server we had (didn't catch his name but had very short hair and an accent) was just awesome. So friendly and helpful. Last time I came to Original Sin, I had terrible heartburn and straight away he mixed up a concoction for me behind the bar that cured it. What doesn't this guy do well?! Your team were also fabulous at being flexible with one of us having coeliac disease.
