I've been here a few times for brunch and to get their pastries.
There is some seating inside but the patio is much larger.
I got one of their bagel sandwiches (big new Yorker) with a side and it was pretty average, they didn't give me much salmon. Price was on par with a nicer brunch spot.
I've also had their chocolate croissants, it was pretty big and inexpensive, but nothing special.
They have gluten free and matzo (kosher) options too
Service is ok

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Baro a couple of years ago, so we were really looking forward to going back last night — this time post my fiancé’s celiac diagnosis. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge disappointment.
For starters, there is no legend or indication on the menu of which dishes are gluten-free. Thankfully, our server was excellent and took the time to walk us through the options. However, there were extremely limited choices — only one large plate option (also the most expensive dish), steaks starting at $95, and just four small plate options that could be made gluten-free.
We decided to order three small plates to share — which turned out to be shockingly small portions. It would’ve taken double or triple what we ordered just to feel remotely full. When we asked if one of the other large plates could simply be made gluten-free by removing the sauce, we were told the chef “really didn’t recommend it” because it would alter the flavour, and there were no alternative sauces (which made little sense since other sauces clearly exist for other dishes).
In total, for 3 tiny small plates (essentially appetizers), chips with guac & salsa, tuna ceviche, beef tartare, 1 cocktail, and 1 glass of sparkling wine, our bill was $115 before tip — and we left still very hungry.
We were so disappointed — especially with how unwilling the kitchen was to accommodate a very common dietary restriction like celiac. The experience was the opposite of our first visit, and sadly we will absolutely not be returning and would not recommend Baro to anyone with dietary needs or restrictions.
We came here for my best friends birthday & we were served by Robin (Robyn?) who was the bestest server EVER! She took care of us for dinner and then arranged us to have the best corner booth right by the Dj! She was a great vibe & so attentive! My only bad feedback about the venue is PLEASE PLAY BETTER MUSIC love you everything else was perfect otherwise & my gluten free pizza was so delicious!!
I ordered an avocado salad. It was decent and good quality. I requested a boiled egg on the side, which they said they wouldn't! So I requested grilled chicken, which was delicious.
My friend ordered onion soup. The toast was a bit burnt. Also, we preferred more cheese.
They have naturally gluten-free stuff, which is good.
If I could give 10 stars I would. Our server Krista was amazing. I have celiac disease - a severe gluten allergy, and she knew exactly what to recommend on the menu. I split the steak frites and rigatoni alla vodka with my friend. Both were incredible. The fries have a designated frier making them fully gluten free and they also have gluten free noodles. Everything was very fairly priced for the quality you’re receiving.
My group was also celebrating a birthday and they went above and beyond taking care of us, bringing him an amazing pavlova dessert - gluten free as well!
The ambiance and decor of the restaurant is absolutely stunning. They have a 5-7 happy hour as well and everyone at my table loved their cocktails!
Overall, I will definitely be returning and I would highly recommend to anyone (especially people with celiac)!!
A lovely spot for drinks and a light meal. Gluten and dairy free options. Non alcoholic drinks as well. The service was friendly and professional. Views are really nice. Definitely will be back. Great place to watch the sunset in Toronto. Very pleasant atmosphere and good food and drinks
