There are four cafés in the space of 50m on McKeon Street and all just seconds from the beach. All are good, but if all you want is a coffee, Chalk is the place to go. 1) Campos coffee - my go to brand - consistently good. 2) usually far less busy than the other cafés, so you are in and out faster.
They store your loyalty card for you so you don't need to bring it with you.
Good range of healthy, gluten free snacks are available.
Food is good too and the atmosphere is chilled.
Great coffee , cosy chill atmosphere, lovely seat at the window looking out and super friendly staff. I didn't order food but got a cute little cookie with my coffee!
Seemed to be lot of baked goods, yummy lunch and breakfast options and catered for vegetarians, vegan, gluten free etc
The food looked very very good coming out , so I'll be back! 😋 Xx

I’m gluten free, so I may be very biased about the service received. Loved both cakes I had. Very stellar, in terms of ingredients I would say just right. 100/10. I wish they had indoor sitting. But I give it to the patrons very quick turnaround time for serving and everything. Thank you for a beautiful experience
The owner is a legend!!! We have been going there regularly over the past 3 years and even though we’ve moved away from Maroubra, every time we go back it is part of our ritual!!! Coffee is amazing, complimentary brownies are amazing and their gluten free options are great!!!
This is one of Maroubra’s nicest cafes with a beautiful peaceful cafe out the back . Beautiful food , coffee and service with vegetarian and gluten free options . Best avo on toast .

Ordered two breakfast burgers one GF and the other normal. They gave us two normal burgers after waiting 30mins. Then when we asked for the gluten free burger to be remade. We waited another 20mins before I had to go up and ask where the burger is. It was just sitting on the counter and therefore cold. Staff inattentive and clueless. Don't recommend.
