There are four cafés in the space of 50m on McKeon Street and all just seconds from the beach. All are good, but if all you want is a coffee, Chalk is the place to go. 1) Campos coffee - my go to brand - consistently good. 2) usually far less busy than the other cafés, so you are in and out faster.
They store your loyalty card for you so you don't need to bring it with you.
Good range of healthy, gluten free snacks are available.
Food is good too and the atmosphere is chilled.
Great coffee , cosy chill atmosphere, lovely seat at the window looking out and super friendly staff. I didn't order food but got a cute little cookie with my coffee!
Seemed to be lot of baked goods, yummy lunch and breakfast options and catered for vegetarians, vegan, gluten free etc
The food looked very very good coming out , so I'll be back! 😋 Xx

I’m gluten free, so I may be very biased about the service received. Loved both cakes I had. Very stellar, in terms of ingredients I would say just right. 100/10. I wish they had indoor sitting. But I give it to the patrons very quick turnaround time for serving and everything. Thank you for a beautiful experience
I ordered online, a takeaway Vegetarian gluten-free pizza Last night, and I believe it was not gluten-free . It has made me quite unwell And been sick most of today . They need to take more notice of peoples dietary requirements.
The owner is a legend!!! We have been going there regularly over the past 3 years and even though we’ve moved away from Maroubra, every time we go back it is part of our ritual!!! Coffee is amazing, complimentary brownies are amazing and their gluten free options are great!!!
This is one of Maroubra’s nicest cafes with a beautiful peaceful cafe out the back . Beautiful food , coffee and service with vegetarian and gluten free options . Best avo on toast .
Quick, great food, lovely staff. Very busy. Must make a reservation, as they were having to turn people away on a Tuesday night.

I never make reviews but I had to cause this pizza (the Judd) was honestly an 11/10. I never buy takeaway pizza cause I’m gluten free and it’s usually way overpriced and very average. This was honestly incredible. Crust was amazing and I wasn’t charged an extra $5 just for ordering a gluten free base (which is soo rare!! So thank you guys!!!)
Only recommendation - please write on your online menu which pizza toppings are actually gluten free or have a gluten free option. Whilst the base may be gluten free, it Would be great to know if what we’re putting on top of it is gluten free too ☺️

Absolutely brilliant! Huge selection of flavours (incl vegan, gluten free, and low fodmap options), quality fruit in the sorbet, and the gelato was SO GOOD. I had honeycomb and raspberry, both were incredible. It's also so nicely decorated and the owner is really kind. Highly recommend!

I LOVE this place. Im a regular, mostly dine in however I also get the occasional take away, and last night I ordered my first home delivery. Every interaction I have with the people at Sea Sand Thai is always pleasant, friendly and professional. The food is consistently amazing and the best thing for me they are very accomodating with vegetarian, gluten free options.
Ordered two breakfast burgers one GF and the other normal. They gave us two normal burgers after waiting 30mins. Then when we asked for the gluten free burger to be remade. We waited another 20mins before I had to go up and ask where the burger is. It was just sitting on the counter and therefore cold. Staff inattentive and clueless. Don't recommend.
