Cooking 101 is designed to help students become familiar with the basics of cooking and baking. Students will learn different terms, procedures and recipes to help them feel more comfortable and successful in the kitchen.

Instructor Message

I believe that anyone can be successful in the kitchen with a point in the right direction. Not everyone will become an amazing chef, and some are definitely more talented in the kitchen than others, but with proper tools and guidance everyone can learn how to make delicious meals and scrumptious desserts that friends and family will be begging for. This course is meant to be hands on, but because we aren't in a room together we will have to rely on a few recipes done at home and then feedback from the instructor to guide and direct. Plus, when is eating something delicious ever not fun?!

  • Be able to properly use a knife
  • Be able to properly measure flour
  • Be able to cook eggs, rice, and chicken
